Powerful Soul

Zhan Wei was just thinking of the meaning of what he saw on the large scroll when he was taking the second stage of the disciple recruitment test " the Origin Void Constitution" was when he felt a deep malicious gaze from his back.

Looking backwards he saw Bai Chen, Zhan Wei wasn't really bothered by Bai Chen or his malicious gaze, but remembering he planned to apologize to Bai Mu for calling him trash he walked towards Bai Chen.

Bai Chen had expected all sorts of look on Zhan Wei's face after he had seen for himself what sort of trash he was.

But the Zhan Wei that was walking towards him still had that terrifying indifferent and confident aura.

Bai Chen froze....., Was Zhan Wei coming to look for trouble with him !.

the plan was after cultivating for a while in the Mystic Heaven Sect, with the help of his cousin and his talent being better than Zhan Wei's his cultivation would soar his enemy and he would come back to stomp on Zhan Wei.

he couldn't handle Zhan Wei now !, no matter how much his cultivation had increased since then, Bai Chen didn't think he was comparable to a peak qi refinement cultivator and back then Zhan Wei had gone against Bai Mu who was in the peak of the qi refinement realm.

In panic Bai Chen looked around, there was no Elder of the Bai Clan beside him as participants were not allowed to enter with anybody.

The only set of people beside him were some of his henchmen and some others that followed him around from the Eastern region.

In fear, Bai Chen didn't even think of the fact that no one would attack anyone in the presence of the Bright Jade City Lord and the other invigilators .

If Bai Chen was to describe Zhan Wei he would call him a mad man, this kind of person was a beast, Bai Chen didn't even think he followed human reason

Every step Zhan Wei took sent fear flowing through Bai Chen's body as his body stood rooted at the spot.

Bai Chen couldn't move, he was so scared moving would anger Zhan Wei.

Zhan Wei stood in front of Bai Chen as his Physique towering over him.

Among the kids in the hall Zhan Wei had the most impressive physique, he was tall and every of his step was filled with a strong and wild aura, coupled with his extremely handsome, Zhan Wei had peak physical endowerments making those around feel subconsciously inferior.

It was only after seeing his results in the first two stages the kids stopped subconsciously fearing him.

Looking at Bai Chen, Zhan Wei wondered why he was sweating profusely.

" Tell your clan elder I'm sorry for calling him trash " , after saying what he wanted, Zhan Wei left.

Zhan Wei had already planned to apologize to Bai Mu, after all calling Bai Mu trash when his own cultivation talent was far worst was a bit unfair.

The frozen Bai Chen shook after hearing Zhan Wei's words, his mind spun as he thought of so many things, was he scared or ashamed after seeing the level of his talent and was begging them for mercy.

As for the fact that Zhan Wei only said he was sorry for calling Bai Mu trash Bai Chen didn't see it that way , maybe he was just ashamed and was begging in a roundabout way.

Bai Chen's confidence rose back at the thought of his enemy apologizing then he remembered that just now he was so scared of Zhan Wei he had frozen in shock.

Feeling the large amount of sweat covering his body and clothes, Bai Chen grit his teeth in shame and anger.

Looking around even the lackeys beside him looked at him disdain.

Although they tried to hide it, Bai Chen swore he could hear them gloating and calling him a coward in his mind.

Bai Chen clenched his fist in rage, even now Zhan Wei was still humiliating him.

After a while he calmed down, there was no need for him to be too agitated, soon, very soon, he would pay Zhan Wei back all the humiliation before killing him.

After the second stage, the female elder that had check Xia Yunzi took over.

From her attire, they could tell she was from the Verdant lotus peak.

The third stage was the fastest, she simply placed an array formation on the ground and had them enter in tens.

The third stage was to test the spirit sense of the participants and after entering the array formation Zhan Wei found himself in a situation where his  five senses ( sight, taste, smell, touch and hearing) would be shut off and he could only move using his spirit sense.

Zhan Wei used his spirit sense to navigate around before he felt a strain and after clenching the talisman the guards had given him before entering he woke up.

Looking around Zhan Wei saw he was still in one spot, just now he had clearly walked a while, was it an illusion, shaking his head he left, he couldn't delay others that were still lining up to take their test.

He didn't know the distance he covered but he knew the distance they could go depended on the strength of their spirit sense.

Outside a large scroll also displayed the results of the third stage.

Looking at his name and the the score in front Zhan Wei heaved a sigh of relief.

Middle grade spirit sense, unlike the first and second, his score in the third stage was better.

It was late at night when everyone was done with the third stage and as usual the invigilators left the kids in the large hall.

this time around no only Zhan Wei brought out something from his storage ring to sleep on, some of the wealthy youths even brought out all sorts of extravagant large beds.

Seeing that nothing happened to Zhan Wei after doing the same the previous day, no one was ready to sleep cross-legged.

While they were lying on the mattress, Xia Yunzi looked Zhan Wei, " Aren't you curious at what happened during the second stage ?".

Zhan Wei chuckled, " I am, I don't know what it was but seeing the reaction of Bright Jade City lord and the Mystic Heaven Sect Elders I thought maybe you have a rare physique or constitution "

The truth was he was, According to the crystal orb Zhan Wei had an high grade spirit root, although an high grade was impressive, someone like Qin lei had dual top grade spirit root, so why was there that kind of reaction to Xia Yunzi's spirit root.

Xia Yunzi smiled and shook her head , " I don't really have a rare constitution or physique, I just have an extremely powerful soul, that purple glow you saw was my soul manifestating itself, a powerful soul has many uses, I could even influence my surroundings from birth, it's a bit similar to the ability of Soul transformation realm experts to influence their surroundings but I'm not that powerful ".

Zhan Wei looked at her and said, " I heard when you were born purple clouds covered the sky of the imperial palace ".

Xia Yunzi nodded her head, " I don't know how but that was me using my soul to form clouds, I have an high grade water spirit root so it's easy to manipulate water around ".

Zhan Wei was amazed, back then in the Eastern region Xia Tianming had exposed his Soul transformation realm cultivation to fight against the blood demon king so he knew a bit about the Soul transformation realm.

Soul transformation realm expert were extremely powerful, their ability to control the qi around was simply terrifying.

Qi cultivators absorbed the qi around into their innate sea, when fighting cultivators could only use the qi in their sea but Soul transformation realm experts were different, they could also use the qi around to battle or for their use.

Although Xia Yunzi's control using her soul wasn't as powerful as a Soul transformation realm expert still she had been be able to do something similar since birth and that was just one of the many uses of a powerful soul.

Based on cultivation realm Xia Yunzi was far behind Soul transformation realm experts but her Soul strength and potential was far above the level of her peers.

Out of curiosity Zhan Wei asked, " So what's the level of your Soul ?".
