Her poor heart
After what Nathan had said the atmosphere inside the room was more harmonious. After they ate they all headed to the living room and started having some small talk. Afterward, Aiden and Genesis excused themselves along with Nathan. They let the adults continue their discussion while they walked in the garden.
Genesis held Nathan's hand and Aiden held the little guy's other hand. They walked around the garden peacefully. They looked like a small family of three.
"Tomorrow after school can we go to the amusement park?" Nathan directed his question towards Genesis. He hoped she would give him a positive answer. She seemed more passive next to Aiden or at least more approachable.
Genesis sighed. "We can't do that tomorrow because we have to settle you down in the house first. I promise we will take you out to the amusement part on another day. After all, we have a whole week together!" She explained her reason for rejecting his request and she patted his head.
