Chapter 96 : Strength and Weakness
*Trinity's POV*
I watched in horror as Brett pressed the end call button and turned around to look at me with an evil grin.
When he had screamed at me, I had climbed up and onto the bed, but even with my arms wrapped around my legs, I didn't feel secure at all. The call had left me more terrified than hopeful.
"What are you going to do to him?" I whispered.
I wasn't worried for myself, I was worried for Matthew. The idea of Brett meeting him alone seemed odd to me. This man had just tried to kill him weeks ago. That feeling doesn't just go away because you feel like it.
"I can do whatever I want," Brett replied, and took a step closer to me, rubbing his hands together. "That's what being in control means."
This man being in control was an absolutely terrifying thought.
"Speaking of doing whatever I want," Brett continued. "I think I still need to punish you for earlier."
