Chapter 36 : Sisterly Advice
*Trinity's POV*
My body felt cold in the absence of Matthew's body against mine. I wasn't sure how long we had kissed, but I hadn't wanted it to end. I was in a daze as I unlocked my front door and walked inside my house. Somehow, I made it to the front room and sat down on the couch.
Then my phone rang, breaking me out of the fog.
"Hello?" I answered, forgetting to look at the caller id.
"Trinity!?"
"Is that you?! Are you okay?!"
The onslaught of voices really brought me back to reality as I recognized both of my sister's voices. They sounded frantic. They must have heard about the hospital trip already.
"Calm down, it's me, and I'm okay," I replied through the phone.
"What happened? Why didn't you call us? What is going on? What did the doctor say?" Arielle rambled on. "Are you home? Do you need me to come over?"
