8 New Ability

Suxi carried Liwu who had already awoken as she crawled out of the bag weeping silently. Liwu was already balling her eyes out on Suxi's clothes. If Suxi hadn't held her tight, she would have tried to pry the bag open and go out.

Liwu cried even more profusely when she saw the two of them and their grave injuries "Daddy should have let me out! I could have helped!! Waaa! Daddy! Sister Haoyun!!"

Suxi cried silently as she held Liwu and tried to console her "Liwu, don't cry, Brother did what was best for us..he didn't want anything to happen so he didn't let Liwu out but am sure Liwu is a smart girl and will stop crying so we can help Brother and Haoyun bandage their wounds"

Liwu wiped her tears and said "There is a little pack of bandages in my backpack but I guess daddy mistakenly threw it in when he gave me candy last time since he usually keeps all his stuff in his space, we can use it to bandage their wounds after using water to clean it maybe it would stop the bleeding for a while"

But Suxi noticed something "Liwu, Brother's blood is silver, why is that?"

Liwu said "I knew that too but I guess we'll just ask Daddy when he wakes up"

Suxi dropped Liwu on the ground beside Junfang then went to remove the bag from his back as she didn't want to turn him over for fear of his injury worsening. She used her teeth to cut through the strap.

Liwu joined her to cut the other strap with her teeth. After a while, they finally pried the bag off him without shaking him too much.

Suxi first took out the ball of light and asked "How do we use this and besides, what is it?"

Liwu collected it from her "This is a light ball. You switch it on this side and it floats ten meters above its owner in the center but it can't float any higher than that. It's battery can last years if properly used"

She switched it on and the ball lit up then to the center and illumated a whole twenty meters around itself.

Suxi was fascinated by it then brought out the remaining stuffs like the bandage in Liwu's bag, the water bottles and food containers "We should probably leave some food and water for the two of them, right?"

Liwu nodded and took a food container then placed it back into the bag "We'll share one food container. Daddy filled every container to the brim"

Suxi took the water bottles as well as the bandages and she was about to go bandage the two herself.

A small stretched out in front of her as Liwu said "I want to help too, please don't treat me like a kid. Am two hundred and eight years also there is a saying two heads are better than one"

Suxi's eyes welled up with tears as she nodded then gave Liwu a water bottle and half of the bandages "Do remain some for them to drink and I will remain some for us to drink"

Liwu smiled sweetly "I know that, I'll treat Sister Haoyun. You treat Daddy since your hands are bigger than mine"

Then they both went to their respective positions. They cleaned and bandages the two's wounds.

After they were done, Liwu kept her bottle inside her bag along with the food container then dragged her bag and Junfang's bag to the middle of Haoyun and Junfang

Subsequently when Liwu and Suxi finished eating. They entered Junfang's bag and slept off

When Junfang lost consciousness, he found himself in a dreamlike state and noticed he was in a brightly lit place. It was very bright as though the sun were here but there were no clouds, suns or even moons.

Also he had no memory of who he was. He felt that he was in a blank state. He looked up.

The so called 'sky' looked like a blurry covering. He could see nothing pass it then he looked forward and saw nothing but an expanse of white. No trees, no grass, no sounds and no nothing even the ground wasn't there. He was just standing on nothing so he turned around to see if it was the same on the other side.

He saw a story building and right then a huge expanse of memories flooded into his brain. He screamed because of the pain it caused "Ahhhh! My head!!"

When the pain subsided, he muttered with regret "Haoyun.. Liwu.. Suxi.. I failed you all. It was all my fault. I-if I hadn't been too greedy. We would have gotten out safely with all of us alive but now am dead..Haoyun is gone too and I left you two all on your own. W..who's gonna take care of you two when we are gone..."

A soft laughter resounded throughout the empty space as the whole space broke like an illusion then a bright and huge mansion came into his view.

Junfang was perplexed when he saw this then he saw a diamond in the sky shining like the sun above the mansion which seemed to be in the center of the space cause when he looked back. He saw nothing and almost freaked out then ran forward till his feet landed on solid ground.

When he looked up again. He saw a person floating above the ground and was exhilarated "Mum? No no..wait, you're Big Sis?"

The lady had violet hair and midnight blue eyes just like his older sister "I am not Miss Junluo. I am your guardian spirit and I appear as the one you miss the most. Congratulations on awakening your ancestral bloodline and unlocking your spiritual power"

Junfang then sighed "Well could you please turn back into your true form? I don't want to dwell on things of the past when they are not to be dwelled on. And your appearance will just bring back the old and painful memories I have painstakingly tried to forget all these years"

The guardian spirit bowed "Sorry, Master. This one shall never do such again"

Junfang just waved his hands "You don't have to bow also you should act normal around me not formal and don't call me master either"

When she rose her head up, her appearance and aura had already changed. She had ruby pink hair which reached her legs and covered the important place of her birthday suit as well as crimson red eyes which stared at him with feelings of warmth, reverence and a shade of desire

She spoke with an alluring voice "Even though this one could not speak with you, I saw everything which happened ever since you were born, young master. This one's heart feels your pain."

Junfang was surprised at first but then remembered his Dad told me once about the guardian spirit which was born with him and would die with him. It would support him and would always keep him safe even at the cost of its life but we had the responsibility of helping them grow and gain a human body in the outside world which was anything but easy.

Junfang then asked "Why are you calling yourself this one? Don't you have a name?"

She shook her head "I would love it if young master named me instead"

Junfang raised an eyebrow "So you mean you do have a name?"

She sighed softly as she lowered her head "Young master, do you know what guardian spirit are before they became guardian spirits? Well of course you don't. We, guardian spirits are dead ghost who choose to either become a guardian spirit with all memories and huge knowledge as well as powers in addition to someone to share life and death with, someone who we stake our lives for and who would stake theirs for us or a spirit to reincarnate with no memories to start life all over again

Well most people chose the latter, very few people chose the former and we who chose the former will be shown those with talents then we make a choice who want to go to turn by turn well I chose you cause you were cute and witty. You think your whole family is gone but that might not be the case"

Junfang was shaken and asked anxiously "I..is what y..you are s..saying true? Is someone from my family truly still alive!?"

She chose her words carefully "Well, am vaguely sure that one of them has a guardian spirit and a person with a guardian spirit is naturally ensured at least a hundred and fifty years of life so unless an extremely life threatening incident which could both completely eviscerate the guardian spirit and the guided's soul. The guided won't die so that's why there is a slight possibility the person with a guardian spirit in your family could possibly still be alive but young master should not get too worked up"

Junfang calmed down a bit and agreed with her words so he tried to change the topic "So you want a new name now, right?"

She nodded with ecstasy as she said "But do be warned, young master. Once you give me a name, my true nature will be unleashed and I will not hold back."

Junfang rose an eyebrow "Oh? What were you in your past life?"

She said with pride "I won't tell you"

Junfang just smiled and said "Well, how about.. Lian? Choi Lian? Since you're my guardian spirit, I give you my surname, it's good to have a wife and since you want to be shameless. I, your husband can equally be as shameless. Little Succubus"

When Junfang said that, Lian almost collapsed in shock cause he was right about her race but she kept her composure as she said with glee "Lian would happily be young master's first wife"

Junfang said "Don't call me young master either, just call me by my name, alright?"

Lian smiled faintly "Okay, hubby"

Junfang shaked his head "Not that either"

Lian gasped "But am your wife, you're my husband. What else should I call you then?"

Junfang grinned covertly "Anything but that"

Lian held her chin and said "Alright, Fangfang, I'll call you that and you can't change it anymore. How can you be so picky with names?"

Junfang rolled his eyes "Fine, I'll make do with this for now cause am worried about the others out there"

Lian split open a crack in space "You should go save that bird quickly, it's life force is disappearing rapidly. Also, before you go, just know a few things. Your blood can save your beasts as long as the life force is still kicking. One minute on that side is equivalent to a month here and you already spent like six years of here's time in that illusion so you calculate how long you've been here in outside's time, I was worried you would never come out but hey, you did. Also, no one ages in your spiritual mind so you're still fifteen and if you want to go out, just split a crack in the air like I showed you. Lastly, a surprise which you have been anticipating for a while is awaiting you on the outside now go already"

Junfang quickly calculated the time he had spent there which estimated to be seventy two minutes just an hour and twelve minutes, not that much. He split open a crack in the space beside him but before he entered it.

He turned towards her and said "I still have questions about my spaces and you must tell me about this mansion too"

Then he left, Lian giggled thereafter made a chair appear beside her and sat down "Finally, the outside world's show continues, I wonder how he will react to the surprise, It's gonna be fun! Haha!"

On the outside world, Junfang's eyes slowly opened as he looked around but something spectacular shocked him.

His eyes were somehow when he looked to the side he saw Suxi with her eyes closed facing him then he looked downwards and was seeing through the bag also through her clothes

He was dumbfounded and immediately sat up rubbing his eyes frantically then he looked again but was still seeing the same thing.

Suddenly a voice reverberated within his head "How do you like your surprise?"

Junfang asked with uncertainty "What kind of silly surprise is this? Do you know what is going on? Why are my eyes like this"

Lian laughed "But weren't you the one wishing to be a multi-cerulean. Now you have three things to celebrate, You're alive. You're now at E-rank. And you got another ability, congratulations Fangfang"

Junfang was puzzled "What kind of ability is this?"

Lian replied "Well, it's a see through ability that.. you know.. lets you see through anything but it's still in the early stages so you might think it's useless. To switch it off, blink twice and to switch it on just say see through in your mind. Also your void space has improved, wanna know how?"

Junfang blinked twice and everything went back to normal then he realized that the were in a very deep hole so he asked "Go on, tell me, how did it improve?"

Lian happily responded "Well now you can teleport by the blink of eye. As for how to do so, just look towards an area and feel the space then move. And you're there"

Junfang almost couldn't believe what he heard but decided to try it

Lian hurriedly said "But don't try to use it now, your body isn't in good condition and I think you opened your wound when you sat up quickly that time. Treat yourself first and Haoyun, don't forget the spoils of war."

Then Junfang remembered Haoyun, he looked towards the almost lifeless bird on the other side and quickly rushed to her side

Lian said "Go on, hurry up, take a few drops of your blood and feed it to her. Your blood does amazing wonders for your beast."

Junfang bit his finger and placed it in her beak then the blood dropped slowly into her mouth

Lian rolled her eyes "Wow, you care about others so much and forget about yourself. Uh, hello, you're already bleeding and you still bit your finger to give her? Are you sick or something? Do you want to die?"

Junfang replied after he had removed his finger from her mouth and his face was already paler than before "I fear that the blood seeping out from my chest is already contaminated and I can't feed her that one cause I don't want anything bad to happen to her"

Lian was touched but still grumbled "Stupid. Dumbass. It's gonna take a while so go heal yourself already. Quickly take out the cores and absorb before you lose strength again"

Junfang then quickly went through the void space which was located at his temple "This small bundle, I wonder what it is though"

He then took it out and realized it was very heavy also when he opened it. He saw five different sized cores.

Before he could carefully scrutinize which tier, Lian already spoke "Lucky bastard, you can already jump to D-rank and gain another ability! What freaking luck is this? Are you the lost son of the Goddess of Luck??"

Junfang checked the cores and realized that two were fourth tier then the remaining three were three tier but before taking it "Lian, could you please explain how many cores it would take me to rank up?"

Lian said "I'll just tell you my rough estimation with at least second tier cores cause you would be overwhelmed if I started from first tier ones. At F-rank, you needed twelve second tier cores now henceforth from E-rank, you'll need ten times the previous amount of cores to level up. Guess the rest yourself and I suggest you don't guess pass the middle level cause anything above that would definitely be too much for you since you're only E-rank"

Junfang was skeptical as he said "At E-rank, I'll be needing one hundred and twenty second tier cores which is equal to twelve third tier cores. At D-rank, I'll need one hundred and twenty third tier cores which is equivalent to six fourth tier cores.

At C-rank, I'll need sixty fourth tier cores that is equivalent of two fifth tier and four fourth tier cores. At B-rank, I'll require six hundred fourth tier cores which is equal to twenty four fifth tier cores. At A-rank, I'll require two hundred and forty fifth tier cores which is equivalent to eight sixth tier cores"
