6 Chanced Meeting

Junfang was mortified "Two colours? It's already in the middle level? I-it's at least fourth tier, ugh, I said it! what is a middle level beast doing in a soft class space crack! It shouldn't even be here as the highest level beast should only be third tier since the third tier is already stronger than a D-rank which is the highest Cerulean that can enter a soft class space crack but Liwu needs the fruit maybe I'll just try to steal from it"

He asked again "Where is that place?"

Haoyun hopped to the entrance and flew out after a few minutes then came back in "Tens of kilometers to the east of this tree"

Junfang brought out the small bag he made for carrying Liwu, wore his own backpack first then wore the small one which had a small hole for peeking and air on front and placed her in it.

Liwu exclaimed in glee "Ahh, sweet stuff! Yay! Thanks Papa!"

Junfang stated as he packed the blanket and containers then threw them into the void space "Well, we gone head there and on the way, kill as many beasts as we can and Haoyun since you're now one of the strongest, you'll be able to do it"

Haoyun said softly "Haoyun is too small to be a mount for now, master"

Junfang said "Nah, not mounting, you'll be flying above us scouting and telling me the way, also help avoid any second and third tier beasts. Only show us the way there and lead us to first tier beasts but not too much, tell me all that telepathically. You don't need to come down unless I call you down or there is a beast we can't avoid or if we are there, okay?"

Haoyun spread her wings as she set to fly off "Easy peasy"

Junfang pulled up his sleeves to reveal his weapon tattoos, Haoyun was shocked and said "Wow, so cool, master. You have weapon tattoos?"

Junfang tapped on the scythe tattoo and a tiny scythe appeared on his palm

Haoyun laughed "Master, why is it so tiny? It looks like those things human babies play with"

Junfang rolled his eyes but didn't answer her then he telepathically controlled the scythe to be bigger and the scythe grew to a meter and a half which was taller than him as he was only a hundred and thirty eight tall that's why most people mistook him for a ten year old, his height stunted due to the way he had been living for the past five years and he never grew once these years

He sighed and thought 'But soon enough, I'll eat better food, grow taller, wear better clothes and go to school too. It's all but a matter of time. I still have at least a year and a half before the academy entrance period, I have to up my game!'

Haoyun was astonished when she saw the scythe grow taller than her

Junfang said as he patted Liwu who h justad already slept off after eating a lot of candy then made his scythe follow him in invisible mode "Haoyun lead the way"

And they set off into the bright forest

A few minutes later, Haoyun notified Junfang of a Spiked-Back Rat which was at first tier a few meters to the north

Junfang stopped, took a deep breath and prepared himself for the first battle of his life

As he reached ten meters away from the Spiked-Back Rat. He walked steathily to one one of the bushes then peeked and saw a it munching on a patch of grass. He targeted the rat, raised the scythe into the air and threw it instantly

Swoosh!

The scythe sped through the air towards the rat, it saw the scythe and ran but Junfang willed the scythe to follow and speed up

The rat turned back and its speed slowed down a bit. The scythe took the chance and cut the head off directly

Junfang was excited for his first kill but before he could go search the rat for its core. A loud rustle came from the front and it sounded like it was going towards the dead rat so he willed his scythe to turn invisible and he hid between the bushes

Haoyun said in his mind frantically "Master, a second tier Flame Clouded Leopard which wasn't too far off smelt the blood and is headed towards your way. Do run to the south west to avoid it master!"

Junfang wanted to run but stopped "Clouded Leopard? Haoyun, is it that blind leopard specie?"

Haoyun replied worriedly "Yes, that's the one, master. Do you want to go up against it?"

Junfang steadied his steps and his back "I'll try my best"

Junfang took out his needles then sent the scythe back in. He can only control one specific weapon at a time cause of his rank

When the Flame Clouded Leopard got close to the dead rat. Junfang brought out four poison needles and willed all four into the air then set four targets for himself

As soon as the Flame Clouded Leopard bent its head and lowered its guard a bit. The needles came at it in a flash, two headed for its forehead center and throat and the other two for its forelegs.

By the moment the Flame Clouded Leopard noticed the needles, it was only able to dodge one of the needles headed for its foreleg as the other three needles struck their target then it almost fell cause of the poison that went into its bloodstream but although three needles struck at it, it was still standing albeit weaker by a lot

When he saw that the leopard was still standing, he willed the needle that was dodged to hit its behind and the leopard faltered slightly

The leopard spewed fire from its mouth in anger from being toyed with but luckily, Junfang wasn't too close to the fire so it didn't harm him in any way

Junfang brought out four sleeping needles, targeted the same places and this time, all four hit the mark

When the four needles embedded into its body, it fell towards the ground though it was hit, it was only dizzy but couldn't stand

Junfang sent the needles back in and decided between the gun and the scythe

He thought carefully as he closed in little by little 'The gun would be much easier and the bullet will definitely penetrate the skull but as for the scythe, it might sense and use all its remaining strength to dodge and run for sure'

So he willed the gun out, aimed for the eyes even though it was already blind, that was still the weakest part of the head but he didn't dare target that place for the needles when it was still full of energy that time cause it was very protective of its eyes

The two bullets went through the eye into the head and the struggling leopard took its last breath

Junfang didn't go over immediately but waited ten minutes, when the ten minutes was up, a fire raged from the inside of the leopard's body and burnt everything in a five meter radius including the leopard's body and the rat's body too

The only things left from the fire were two cores, one red the size of an adult's fist and another black the size of a baby's fist

Junfang rushed over, took the cores then ran far away from the scene before other people and animals arrived there

After running for over two hours, Junfang climbed up a tree, sat on a branch painting heavily

Haoyun landed beside him and asked anxiously "Master, are you alright?"

Junfang nodded "Yeah, am fine nothing to worry about"

Haoyun sighed in relief then said with delight "Master, what an awesome thing you did back there, you were so cool!!"

Junfang grinned as he held the two cores in his hands "It's nothing really, a first tier beast core sells for a thousand and a second tier beast core sells for ten thousand, it's not much but it is something also plus those two leaves which are definitely worth me coming"

Haoyun faced a direction seriously and all of a sudden flew off but Junfang wasn't worried since he thought she had seen something and would just tell him when she's sure about it

Then he looked at the cores again and felt something, it was like his gut feeling was telling him to eat but eat what? It was puzzling

But then he had an absurd thought 'Maybe my instinct was telling me to eat the cores? Nah! No way or maybe that's true but it's known every where that humans can't eat beast cores because the silvaen energy in the core is too much for the human body to absorb and would just explode but ever since I awakened my bloodline, why does it feel as though I have become less of a human well I guess I'll just try the rat core first'

Junfang took a deep breath as he threw the second tier core into the void space and threw the first tier one into his mouth. It instantly dissolved into silvaen energy which went down his throat and into all the energy channels in his body. He felt stronger and he grew a few inches taller too.

His skinny figure gained a bit of muscle too. His terribly short and sparse hair grew to his neck lush and full.

Junfang almost jumped off the branch in his jubilation but still retained his rationality as he didn't jump but he was still very excited "Wow! What the heck just happened! I grew? My body's growing too and I feel stronger already so that means I can absorb cores! Oh must not let anyone know or I'll be dissected."

Junfang took out the second core and was about to throw it into his mouth when Haoyun rushed over in panic "Master, come see what I saw. A bunch of dead bodies, a shiny box and a human female who is the last survivor of them all is gravely injured, should we save her?"

Junfang shaked his head and said calmly "Why are you panicking, we'll go check it out once am done absorbing this core"

When Haoyun saw that her master wanted to eat the beast core but before she could shout. He had already thrown it into his mouth. She covered her eyes immediately cause she couldn't bear to see her master explode but after a while when she heard nothing. She decided to open her eyes and the scene she saw fascinated her.

Her master was still alive and kicking and he looked taller and more good looking than before. It's a miracle!

Junfang touched his hair and felt his body "Great, I have reached the height of a twelve year old and my muscles are already coming out. The second tier core does contain energy five times better than that of the first tier but to reach E-rank, I need eleven more second tier cores which means at least fifty first tier cores. Damnit, I need to kill a lot of beasts and once I reach E-rank, I'll sell the remaining cores for money but if I can get a third tier core, it would be awfully better. Also I should just firstly reach E-rank before we go get the Sly Stone Fruit"

Junfang checked his void space and saw that he could send forty objects in now which made him jump in elation.

Then he turned to the awestruck Haoyun and said "Lead the way to the scene!"

Haoyun immediately responded and lead Junfang there.

On the way there, Junfang killed two first tier beast with his hammer while they were mating and dug out the cores then absorbed it all "Fifty three left to E-rank, haha other people have to sit and meditate to absorb silver energy while I only have to eat cores though expensive but faster, hahaha"

When they finally reached there, Junfang was awed by the scene he saw there.

A huge beast cut into two lay at one side and it seems like it's core was still there. Four other people were on the other side, two of them already had their limbs scattered all over and one had his guts ripped out but the last one was leaning against the tree still breathing albeit faintly.

When Junfang saw the person who was leaning against the tree, he recognized her instantly although she was missing an arm.

Junfang rushed over and shouted when he got close "Huqia! Huqia! What happened!?"

Haoyun flew into the skies to scout and inform her master of any uninvited presence.

Huqia heard the voice and weakly opened her eyes.

When she saw Junfang in front of her with a worried face, she smiled and touched his face with her other hand "I..it's you..am I in heaven? You...look like an..*coughs* angel..little..boy"

She coughed blood after talking and seemed like she no longer had any time left. Junfang frantically said "Hey hey, don't talk and don't sleep, try to stay awake..I..I'll think of something for you"

Haoyun said to him in his mind "Master, wake Liwu up, have you forgotten about her ability? Master, quickly before she loses her last breath!"

Liwu and her had already shared their abilities amongst themselves during that period when he fainted.

It was only after Haoyun's reminder he remembered Liwu had the overpowered healing ability, he opened the backpack he carried in front and shook her gently. She opened her eyes and rubbed it "Daddy, are we there yet?"

Junfang brought her out of the back and said gently "We are not there yet but Daddy needs you to use your healing ability on this big sis here, can you do it? If you can't, you don't have to stress yourself"

Liwu sprang up towards Huqia excitedly "Of course, Liwu would be happy to help Daddy! Daddy should move back a bit"

Junfang moved back by a few meters instantly.

Then she took a deep breath, formed a weird hand sign then a ring of light appeared under her then it expanded and included Huqia in it.

Liwu then placed her hands on Huqia and closed her eyes turn started muttering some weird language. As she kept on saying it, the ring of light became brighter and Huqia body shone with a grey light then the grey light turned into a cocoon.

Junfang watched on biting his fingernails worriedly.

After what almost felt like a year which was relatively only a few minutes.

Liwu stepped out of the ring of light then changed her hand sign and raised her hands to the sky and shouted "Goddess Of Souls! I Persevere and You Preserve!"

Immediately after she said that, a golden light shone from above and landed on the cocoon which rose up into the air.

Luckily for them it was during the day so no one noticed the golden light which flicked in the skies.

The cocoon opened layers by layers and when it reached the last few layers, the ring of light below disappeared and Liwu said "Daddy, go stand under the cocoon and catch her when the last layer is removed, you catch her."

Junfang ran quickly to the cocoon as he heard that.

When the last layer removed, the cocoon disappeared and a girl of six years old appeared with lush long magenta hair and rosy skin with her eyes closed and naked landed in Junfang's arms.

He sighed in relief then Liwu walked over and said "Daddy, even though she has total memory loss, we should still leave this scene cause those who would come here Title scent of blood and for it not to strike up pain in her mind"

Junfang agreed with her then took Liwu into her backpack then threw his own backpack into the space and carried Huqia onto his back. He quickly dug out the core of the beast and took the box beside it then ran off quickly.

It was almost midnight before he could find a cave to rest in and on the way, he killed a few beast, he got tangled up with a strong second tier beast but killed it eventually and gained five first tier cores and a second tier core.

His whole body reeked of blood, both his and the beast while Liwu who was inside the backpack was super clean but the same couldn't be said for Huqia whom he carried on his back.
