Chapter 55: He's Strong
Dr. Albert's loud growl paused Zenith's footsteps before he could grab the doorknob, making his chest squeeze tight from a sudden harrowing anxiety inside. His heart ached with throbbing pain, making his glowing red eyes quickly return back to his usual pitch-black color, with a deadpan look of shock apparent on his face.
His long sharp white canines which were almost about to emerge out of his jaws halted midway after hearing that striking declaration. The intense silence that fell inside the room for a few minutes was too stifling for Zenith to bear as if he felt the whole world had paused around him.
However, when he turned his head behind to face Dr. Albert, quite similar to his stunned expression, Dr. Albert didn't suppress his extremely concerned look this time.
