Chapter 102

"Good job, Elektra!" Anira happily shouted out, cheering for the yellow Pokémon, who had managed to perform a Thunderbolt just after a few hours of training.

"Elekid!" Elektra proudly started circling her arms, recharging her Electric Reserves.

Aizen also proudly smiled at the progress of Elekid. She was quite talented and had that inborn confidence in her that was the trademark of the Electivire-line.

He knew that she would evolve anytime now into an Electabuzz, as she was old enough. But there were still some moves that he wanted to teach her before that.

"Elektra!" He called out to her, and the electric Pokémon immediately approached him.

"Ele..."

"Want to learn something different?" He smiled and asked.

"Elekid!" And unsurprisingly, she was hungry for more strength.

After losing two Gym Battles, Elekid wanted to prove herself in the next one.

"Okay." He nodded to her and then erected a Psychic Shield in front of him. "Hit it with your best Thunder Punch!" He commanded, and Elekid complied.

A dull sound spread out when the fist collided with the Psychic shield, and then the bolts and streaks of electricity spread around and dispersed.

"That was good." He praised her. "Now show me how powerful your Fire Punch is." He smiled at her.

"Elekid!" The little Pokémon determinedly called out and soon her right first was covered in beautiful red flames.

The fist collided with the shield, resulting in a dull sound of impact, and then the flames flared up before they dispersed.

"Awesome!" He happily smiled. "You have gotten stronger." He crouched down next to her and gently scratched its head. "So, do you want to learn another cool punching move?"

"Ele..?"

"Let me show you." He said and stood up. "Gengar, use Ice Punch!" He commanded the Pokémon who emerged out of his Shadow and hurled a fist covered in Ice Energy at him, which was blocked by his Psychic Shield. The strength behind the punch made the shield ripple, and a sizzling sound of ice spread out.

Elektra's eyes shined brightly at the power of Gengar and the new move it had just shown her.

"Elekid!"

And even without Aizen having to say anything, Elektra asked Gengar to teach her on her own accord.

"Gengar..." The powerful ghost Pokémon flashed its sinister smile, agreeing to teach Elekid how to perform an Ice Punch.

Aizen and Anira sat together under a tree, watching the progress of Elekid.

"Gengar is really patient." The little princess smiled and said.

"Yes." He nodded his head and then smiled at the Pokémon in his lap, who was cooing under his ministrations.

"Toge!!" Suddenly, the Egg Fairy jumped out of Anira's arms into his lap, asking him to scratch its head too like he was doing to Bulbasaur.

"Aren't you a loveable jealous Fairy?" He chuckled and then did as Togepi wanted, giving it some loveable caresses.

Bulbasaur seemed left out, but Anira picked it up in her lap and continued caressing its head, which it loved a lot.

The two siblings happily chatted with each other, when suddenly, Anira received a call on her PokeNav+.

"It's May!!" The little princess was ecstatic when she saw that it was her best friend calling her. "Hi!!!" She picked up the call and brightly said.

"Anira!!" The other girl seemed quite excited too, and then happily showed her the PokeNax+ that she had just received today. "I got it too!"

"I'm happy that you did!"

The two young girls incessantly chatted with each other for a good few minutes before May finally asked where Aizen was.

"He's here!" Anira stuck her tongue at her and then showed her that Aizen was sitting right next to her.

"Brother!!" May excitedly waved her hand at him.

"Hey! He's my brother!" And Anira disatisfiedly corrected her, which earned her a wink and a tongue from May.

"Hi, May!" Aizen chuckled and said. "You have grown up a lot since I last saw you. And you are more beautiful now." He sincerely said, which immensely pleased the girl in the red clothes.

"Thank you!" She brightly smiled and then happily informed the two of them what she was up to nowadays. "My Aunt and Uncle have come to settle down in Little Root Town! Brendan has joined my school, and Max has been pestering dad a lot to take him in as an assistant..."

Anira and Aizen listened to all she had to tell and happily chatted with her.

They both missed her a lot since May had pretty much grown up with them, spending 4 years of her life at the Orayen Palace when her father worked with their grandmother at the Blanc Laboratory.

She left the Blanc Island a couple of years ago to go back to Little Root Town with her parents, where the Birch Family had their Laboratory and Ranch.

The last time they met was nearly 8 months ago when Aizen and Anira dropped by the Birch Laboratory to see her.

Anira had kept in touch with her through messages, but Aizen had not talked to her since the last time they met.

"Oh my god. That's a Togepi!!" May had stars in her eyes when Anira showed her Togepi. "And Bulbasaur! Wow! Show me more!"

"Okay!" Anira happily smiled and then showed her Gengar and Elekid, who were training. And then showed her Aizen's Nidoran, who was resting under a tree.

It was funny how May loved Pokémon so much now. When they had met her the first time, the cute little girl did not seem too fond of Pokémon, and only planned on becoming a Trainer in the future to go out and explore the world. But after spending years around them, she had eventually fallen in love with Pokémon.

They continued chatting for over an hour, where May asked Aizen about all the Pokémon he had caught, and made him tell her about his Gym Battles and the badges he had won.

"I will come to cheer for you at the Indigo Conference!!" May promised him.

"It will be great! I can't wait to see you again. Also, I will introduce you to Leaf and Misty!" Anira said, and Aizen nodded to her words.

"Do take care of yourself. And don't slack on your studies." He seriously said, but May just gobbled on the doughnut in her hand and nodded to him.

"Bye!" She said after she finished it and then waved her hand before ending the call.

"She hasn't changed at all..." Aizen sighed, and then happily chuckled.

A part of him was really happy to see that May was just as gluttonous as ever. He always found it quite adorable.

It was already late in the afternoon now, and when Elekid tiredly slumped down after giving her all, they called it a day.

She had made progress and had almost gotten the gist of Ice Energy, but it would take her a few days to finally grasp the technique.

Aizen rewarded her with her favourite treat, and after packing up and recalling his Pokémon, the two of them left to search for Misty and Leaf, who had gone out to train for the race on their Rapidash and Tauros.

It was the third day of the Festival, and tomorrow, the Ponyta and Rapidash Race was going to take place.

They arrived at the busting Nomadic Village, where the participants and spectators were gathered and had their tents and cottages.

Traditional music was being played, and there were a lot of performers who were showcasing their skills.

People were dancing around, playing games, and enjoying different delicacies that were being sold.

Aizen and Anira curiously looked around and then finally reached their cottage. Leaf and Misty had still not returned, but Sabrina was back and she was meditating in the lounge together with her Delphox.

They did not disturb her and after freshening up, they got ready to prepare their supper.

Misty and Leaf did not return until the sun had set down. And they informed the siblings about what happened at today's races, and what they witnessed on their way back.

"So, this guy named Dario played a dirty trick which caused an injury to the girl from the Laramie Family. And now, Ash is going to represent the Laramie Family in tomorrow's race by riding that girl's Ponyta?" Anira furrowed her brows and asked.

"Yes!" Leaf nodded her head, which prompted everyone to look at Misty, who was going to take part in tomorrow's race.

"So?" Anira playfully smiled.

"I am going to leave him in the dust!" She confidently said.

"But Lara's Ponyta is quite fast." Leaf reminded her.

They had seen Lara and her Ponyta practising for the race, and her Ponyta was naturally quite fast. It could even keep up with some Rapidash.

"I and Rapidash are ready for everything! We have worked hard, and we will win!"

"Don't you plan on joining the race with your Ponyta?" Aizen curiously looked at Leaf.

"No. Misty can take the Rapidash and Ponyta Race, and I will take the Tauros Race. We will compete against each other in the Free-For-All!"

The orange-haired girl nodded to the words of her friend.

"Your meal is in the kitchen." Aizen nodded to them and then patted Leaf's head. "I will see you tomorrow!"

"Where are you going?" Leaf curiously asked.

"I am going out with Sabrina to train." He said.

"Take care!" The hazel-eyed girl brightly said before she stood up to go to the kitchen to heat up the meal.

Aizen left Gengar and Eevee with the girls and then together with Sabrina, left the Nomadic Village to find a quiet place to train for the night.
