EPISODE 207: Trapped!

"Where... where are they?!" Glade uttered with a heavy breath while gasping for thin oxygen in this Meteor Mines.

After being chased by two dragon type Pokemons, who knows where we could end up to? A vast mine is another word for extreme troubles ahead.

"Lucario, try to find them with your auras," I commanded in hopes of detecting any nearby life forms.

Lucario then squinted his eyes and tried to concentrate as much as possible. I and Glade observed him, and that's when I noticed that something terribly wrong has happened to Lucario.

"Kalem. I can't... I can't detect their auras." Lucario opens his eyes, and reports to me the bad news.

I try to recall what happened, and that's when I realized that a large boulder accidentally whacked Lucario's head when we running in the opposite direction.

I walked closer to him and gazed over his head. I saw a red swelling wound which perhaps is the reason why Lucario wasn't able to detect their auras.

"Glade, I need potions right now," I uttered with worry. I then asked Lucario to lean his head over the jagged wall.

"What happened to Lucario?!" Glade queried as he gave me his remaining potions left.

"Lucario was hit by a boulder, that's why he's unable to detect their auras. The rock must've injured his brain."

"Injured his brain? Will Lucario be able to use his auras again?" Shaymin interrupted and walked closer to Lucario. He then sniffed Lucario's wound. A Pokemon like Shaymin has sympathy for other Pokemons like Lucario.

"We're not sure Shaymin. I think I have to bring Lucario to the Pokemon Center for further analysis of his wound. Rest assured, these potions will probably soothe his pain for a while." I calmed her worried mind. On my other hand, I gently sprayed the potions on Lucario's head.

"What now? Camellia and the others are on the other side of the cave. What plan do you propose Kalem?" Glade queries.

"Did you try to contact them? Perhaps our Xtransciever will work here."

"I've already tried that Kalem, it didn't work. I guess our ma-" Glade halts for a moment. Something strange has captured his attention, something from behind us is producing a high-pitched sound.

"Did you hear that?" Glade queries and leans his ear to the wall. He listens carefully and noticed that something is hiding in the depths of these walls.

I stood up to check if he is right. I also leaned my head, and to my surprise, he is correct. I could also hear a high-pitched voice which is somewhat murmuring to our ears.

"Sceptile! Deploy. Use Dragon Claw and break those rocks!" Without a moment to lose, Sceptile beams out of his Pokeball and slashes the rocks with his claws.

Suddenly, it caused a minor shock as the rocks collapsed to reveal an object glowing with a golden veil. The object fits the professor's statements. The dragon amulet/emblem, is here.

"So this is how it looks like. No wonder the dragons attacked us a while ago. They were trying to protect their treasure." Glade walks towards the treasure in a subtle pace. The dragon amulet attracted both of our eyes as if we were placed under a spell or something.

On the far corner, Lucario and Shaymin watches from a distance. My hand couldn't resist touching the amulet forged during the times of the golden eras of Laurenburg. Professor Goldburg is right, this is truly a remarkable find.

"Kalem?!" On the other side, me and Glade were greeted by no other than Camellia, Goldburg, and my cousin. It seems to me both left and right would end up in the same location.

"Ah! The Dragon Amulet, the legends are right."Goldburg beams with awe and quickly grabs the amulet. For a second or so, we thought a booby trap was about to activate but I guess we stand corrected.

Goldberg then clenches the amulet and points it towards the sky. Astounding, the amulet was able to cause a minor earthquake that made a path to the outer reaches of the Meteor Mines.

Without another second to lose, I grab Lucario's body and help walk. The light which then enters the cave served as a spark of hope to the world above. I can't wait to breathe fine oxygen once more.

Step by step, we walked closer to the light and once we reached the outskirts of the mines, it was already evening as expected.

"Fresh air!" Glade inhales with relief. The air enters his nostrils, giving him the sensation of peace and relaxation.

On the other hand, Camellia and Goldberg remains baffled.

"Sir Goldberg, how did the amulet break shift the mines?" Camellia questions.

"This world is truly a strange place with hundreds of mysteries to be uncovered. Who knows, perhaps one day you'll solve the mystery behind the strange powers of the dragon types." Goldburg utters while looking at the stone.

Finally, our bodies couldn't wait to sleep in our room, but of course, it's off to the Pokemon Center fist. After a long fieldwork under the mines of this town, Goldberg rewarded us with a stock of supplies. Primarily potions and medicines.

Now, only a day remains before a new year commences! Who knows what we'll encounter tomorrow or what events could take place in Meteor Town? Only time will reveal the answer as the journey to become a Pokemon master continues!
