Seeing Ryan stare at the pokeball curiously Prof. Oak chuckled. "I got this pokemon from my cousin in Alola" said Prof. Oak. Ryan was excited, Alolan pokemon have many things to offer. Mainly there is the Alolan form which are way better than their counterparts. "Take it" said Prof. Oak. Ryan carefully took the pokeball which was offered. "Call it out to see what it is" said Prof. Oak who also was visibly vibrating with excitement.

As Ryan threw the pokeball a pokemon emerged from the light. The pokemon looked like a cat, it had black colour fur while it had red stripes in the legs and the forehead, it also had thick whiskers which were orange in colour. "It is a Litten" said Ryan as his eyebrows shot up.

"You know about this pokemon?" asked Prof. Oak. "Yes, Litten is also called Fire Cat pokemon and is a pure fire type. It evolves into a Torracat which then evolves into Incineroar which is a Fire and Dark type." recited Ryan.

There was pin drop silence. 'Did I say something wrong' thought Ryan. "Marvelous! If I hadn't seen you in person I would have thought you are reading from a book!" said Prof. Oak. Ryan was embarrassed. 'He may look like him but the way he speaks is similar to that one' thought Prof. Oak fondly.

Meanwhile Litten was observing Ryan. 'This person is powerful, very powerful. Aura is rolling off from him' it thought. He also had seen the pokemon that were near Ryan they were also powerful but were obeying this person. Litten has been the strongest of its pack, but that didn't satiate its hunger for power. 'This person will definitely help me to be the strongest!' It thought as it went near him and kneeled before him.

Everyone who were talking saw the pokemon moving. They were nervous, fire types even in unevolved form can unleash devastating moves. They were surprised- No surprised would be an understatement- They were utterly Flabbergasted seeing Litten kneel, even though Ryan did nothing. 'This boy is an unsolvable mystery' thought everyone in the room except Ryan .

Ryan looked at the pokemon emotionless, but the pokemon understood what he wanted and jumped in his arms. Ryan kept Litten in his arms. He had always wanted to have a cat in his previous life. He used Analysis on it.

Ryan thanked his emotionless face now because he can keep calm and hide his giddiness. "Oh here is your NanoDex" Prof. Oak said. "NanoDex?" asked Ryan. "It is an upgraded version of PokeDex which can store all the pokemon you have caught!. Not only that you can call them whenever you want. It also acts as a smart phone, X-Transciever." Prof. Oak said proudly.

"I can't accept this" Ryan said. "Ryan the reason I am giving this to you is you are responsible, mature. You also you have to collect info about many pokemon too. It is yours, nothing can convince me to take it back" He said. Ryan sighed and looked at it before pocketing it. The Professor smiled as he saw this.

"Well I'll be leaving professor, I don't want to let you down" Ryan said as he left. Ryan left with Litten's pokeball in his hand. He couldn't believe he was so lucky Litten is on the peak stage of Unique layer. It can break through Legend Talent after its evolution. The most surprising thing is that it has Scorching Sands, Lash Out and Burning Jealousy!.

They are usually tutor moves, if this Litten has that as Egg move both of its parent must be Incineroars which have learnd the moves and mastered it till [O] or above. This pokemon is going to be one hell of a monster when it is going to be a Incineroar, especially with its base Attack state as 115 .

What Ryan doesn't know that the notepad had in his pocket had fell down as he left the room. The professor noticed it and took it to give it to its owner. Unfortunately he didn't see Ryan anywhere. He tried to resist the urge to look what was written inside, keyword being tried. He gave in and saw the contents.

When he saw the contents his eyes almost bulged out of its sockets. It contained theories he had never thought about!. The theory of evolution!. Most importantly the theory of possible evolution after reaching the final state!. This was a treasure trove of theories and research!. He has to discuss this with Ryan and have his permission to research about it with other professors.

Prof. Oak ran towards the chairman's office and asked "Where is Ryan Mortimer's house". the chairman had only seen the professor like this one time, when he had crazy amount of theory and almost made a breakthrough. The chairman told "Calm down! you look like a crazed mad man." He exclaimed.

"I am sorry" said Prof. Oak. "Now tell me what happened that you almost became a crazed psychotic old man?" asked the chairman trying to suppress his snicker. Oak was offended but left it. "Read this" the professor said. Taking the notes he read it. As soon he read it he knew why Oak was in that state. "Whose is this" the chairman asked seriously if this book was in wrong hands it will be a disaster.

Prof. Oak grinned like a madman and said "One Ryan Mortimer". The chairman was dumbfounded. Not only was that child a prodigy trainer, it seems like he is an Bona fide Genius. He has the talent to become a regional professor!.

"It seems like we have underestimated him" said the chairman. "You know the Viridian City orphanage which was locked down right?". "Yes" Prof. Oak said. "The matron's final will was to give the orphanage to Ryan. Now he lives there in order to remember the matron who raised him since he was 7 years old" said the Chairman. Prof. Oak immediately set to Ryan's house.

Meanwhile with Ryan:

"Litten" Ryan spoke. "You have already reached the threshold for your first evolution, but don't be arrogant for there are pokemons which are several leagues above you." Ryan said. Litten saw where he was coming from, one of its pack members after evolving into a Torracat challenged him to a battle only to be crushed ruthlessly. Litten resolved that he will always be humble.

Ryan seeing the Littens in deep thought spoke with it and learned that it crushed it own evolved pack member. Ryan was surprised but was pleased that it already knows the lesson of not being arrogant.

Ryan was going to his home to introduce their new family member and train Litten to evolve it into a Torracat. He reached his home and called everyone out. They all saw the cat in Ryan's arms and saw it with jealousy. Pikachu was second in command so it was okay, but an new member being near their father/ trainer/ Alpha was unacceptable.

As Ryan let Litten down he heard a knock on the door. 'Who is it? I hope it is not Gabriel or Lucien' thought Ryan. He opened the door to see Prof. Oak, he welcomed him to the living room and said "What brings you here Professor Oak". Oak just slid Ryan's notepad on the table.
