A gray-haired woman that was in her early 50's stepped out of the private jet along with her assistant who was walking behind her.

"*sigh* That girl will really be the death of me, she is the Kalos Queen so why is she not doing her job." Palermo the gray-haired woman said she is also a former Kalos Queen back in her days.

The assistant took her note pad and reported, "Base on my investigation she is here to watch her friend Ash Ketchum compete on the Lily of the Valley Conference, it is also stated here that she has feelings for the young man."

Palermo nodded her head and said, "That's not surprising, to be able to make the Kalos Queen fall for him means that he really is an interesting young man, let's go and meet Serena first."

A white limousine was already waiting for them at the airfield, as soon as they entered the car they immediately went towards Ash's house.

Ash already went back to his house after the battle, his Mother along with Serena was in the living room watching Max's match while May and Dawn went to watch him live.

"Congratulations on your 9th win, Son," Delia said with a smile on her face.

Serena looked at Ash and warned, "You will be battling Iris tomorrow, I heard that she is being groomed by Alder the Champion of Unova."

Ash raised his eyebrow and asked, "Alder? is she gonna be the next Unova Champion then?"

"I think so, Serena's elder and also the leader of the Dragon tribe was Alder's old friend and when he visited the Dragon tribe a few years ago he saw Iris's talents and chose to groom her so I am pretty sure that she is strong," Serena said why trying to remember the things she researched last night.

Hearing Serena's report Ash knew that she put in a great effort to research, he patted Serena's head and said, "Thank you for your efforts, I will surely not disappoint you tomorrow."

Serena smiled cheerfully and nodded her head while raising her fist, "Do your best!"

Delia smiled seeing their interactions and calculated inside her mind, 'If this continues then I am confident to have a grandchild in 2 years' time.'

While the tree of them was still conversing with each other James entered the room and reported, "Boss, there is someone looking for Lady Serena outside."

Ash and Serena looked at James in a questioning manner while Ash asked, "Do you know who it is?"

James nodded his head and replied, "She said that her name is Palermo."

"Oh no, let me go see her," Serena responded and hastily went outside to greet Palermo.

Ash stood on his spot and tried to remember where he heard the name, when he couldn't remember it he shook his head and also went to the front door to meet their guest.

"Madam Palermo, long time no see why did you come here in Sinnoh?" Serena greeted Palermo as soon as she saw her outside the door.

Seeing Serena walking out Palermo put on a dissatisfied look on her face and replied, "What do you think I am doing here? isn't it to take back the Kalos Queen who just disappeared all of a sudden?"

Serena was surprised to hear her response and had an awkward look on her face, she didn't know what to reply and thankfully Ash also appeared behind her.

"This isn't the place to talk how about you guys go to the living room?" Ash said with a smile on his face, he heard what Palermo said earlier but chose to let Serena handle it herself.

He then looked at James and said, "Server our guest well."

After ordering James, Ash then went back inside the house not sparing Palermo another glance.

"Your boyfriend really has an interesting character," Palermo said while looking at Ash's back.

Serene didn't disagree with Palermo nor she agreed, she looked at Palermo and asked, "Why do I need to go back to Kalos? the Master Class Tournament is still 4 months from now."

Palermo took a sip of tea that James made and replied, "You have been missing for 2 months without any updates about your current location, do you think that is how a Kalos Queen should act?"

She then stared at Serena and continued, "You became Kalos Queen 2 years ago and this will be your 2nd time defending your title, I hope that you haven't been complacent just because you won your first title defense."

Serena smiled hearing this because she knew that Palermo was just checking up on her, "I will never be complacent, please give me some more time until I finished my business here then I will surely return to Kalos."

Palermo nodded her head and changed the topic, "So how is boyfriend doing? will he be able to win the pokemon league champion title?"

Serena glanced at the hallway where Ash left and replied, "The league title is just the start, I am sure that his ultimate goal will be the Champion Festival."

"Oh, It means that your boyfriend is really confident in winning this tournament. I'll be staying for a while then to see if he really has what it takes, he must at least be a league champion to be able to date our Kalos Queen right?" Palermo teased.

Serena smiled back and said confidently, "You will not be disappointed in your stay."

"I will be taking my leave now, I was just making sure that our Kalos Queen still wants to defend her title. I was afraid that you would have lost all your passion and just wants to be stuck with your boyfriend forever." Palermo stood up followed by her assistant as they exited the house with James accompanying them.

'Boyfriend huh, I still haven't even confessed except for that time when we separated 5 years ago. Argh! that Ash!!! what a blockhead!!!' Serena was raging inside her head cursing Ash a million times.

Unknown to Serena that a certain someone was leaning behind a wall clearly eavesdropping on their conversation.

"We didn't even talk about it yet and here you are already claiming to be my girlfriend," Ash said as he made his way towards his room with a small smile on his face.
