As we make our way into shadow vail one things clear this place is something different from everywhere else I've traveled there are people from all over that look like there here for the catching competition as I start to sign up for the competition someone bumps into me to grab a signup sheat I turn to say something and before I know it im met with skully "Skully" well what do we have here mr beginner course is here the fact you made it this far is impressive for someone of your skill but unfortunately for you I'm here to take that first place so don't get your hopes up"

well unlike our first encounter I won't be defeted by you this time I'm alot different then we last squared off if you want I can prove it "Skully" well Ark show me what you got I'm prepared foe anything you could throw"

we quickly leave after signing up to find a battle field as we do it looks like we've attracted an audience, So since you accepted my challenge I hope your ok If I set the rules? Serpentera descend for battle, Lucario destroy the competition. As our 2 have been picked we start off lucario use extream speed Serpentera use freezing glare "duskclops use willow wisp on serpentera and swampert use surf" as duskclops gets hit with the glare it freezes but not before the burn hits serpentera causing massive damage but its allowd lucario to speed in and deliver a bone rush before swamperts attack goes off. Serpentera use aurora beam lucario catch I throw the shadow blade and as lucario catches it a black light shines over the field and once it's stops lucario is there coated in black aura besides the new aura his look has changed slightly his fur becoming Matt black and grey well his eyes have turned red. what just happened "Skully" I don't know what you just did but if you won't act I will swampert respond to my call transcend your limits mega evolve" As swampert glows with energy it then charges at lucario bit as it goes to use Mach punch serpentera intercepts and use constrict on mega swampert lucario then uses the sword in a circular motion as as it does it then slices down causing an attack o haven't seen as shadows poor out and invelp swampert and serpentera leaving neither to be seen before both reappear both knocked out as they do what I deemed shadow lucario untransforms from the firm he took exhausted but before he can react duskclops uses shadow ball knocking it out I quickly return lucario and serpentera and then send out haunter and as I go to reach for Charmeleons ball froakie ball opens up and before I can call it back someone from the stands stops me, "Kite" I'm sorry but even tho you didn't choose it it's on the field so kirian froakie must be your choice I will now reaf this battle Skully please choose you next pokemon" as this new person steps up I can't help but notice an interesting aura about this person but I have time to focus as skully sends out his next pokemon Lampent. Alright froakie use bulkup haunter fire pledge "Skully" Lampent flame thrower duskclops use focus blast" as the attacks fly off froakie sits back as I call for iron defense as haunter takes the attacks I try to think of a way to even this out but my pokemon that could mega got taken out and my main hitters for delta are knocked out or couldn't be uses due to froakie taking Charmeleons place I could try the shadow blade but after what lucario did it's feels like its been drained somehow its going to be a bit before I can be used again as I send haunter back out to fight duskclops it clicks I cam feel the energy I quickly recall haunter and reveal my dynamax band as I dynamax haunter as it comes out I have use max phantasm and as the attacks connect duskclops faints apon collusion, alright froakie take stage use brick break as it connects with Lampent its goes down as froakie celebrates its win its starts to glow as out from the light appears kirian frogadier similar to regular frogadier its color and features are different enough to set it apart however the most defining feature is the fin on its back as i look at frogadier pulls them off revealing fin blades. "Skully" Alright I'm counting on you shelgon" as the pseudo dragon comes out the pressure is felt, Alright frogadier use shark tooth slash as it's uses its new blades shelgon effortless dodges before retaliating with dragon rage blasting frogadier head on taking it down as it land it uses dragon dance then squares off with haunter, Haunter use shadow ball, As the attack goes off shelgon takes it head on well using another dragon dance powering up it then readys up and as it eyes haunter it fires off a powered up dragon pulse at haunter, Haunter use flamethrower and push it back as the attack connects haunter barely uses flamethrower before it connects barely keeping it at bay as the attack inches closer haunter starts to struggle before glowing purple as shadows from the pokemon in the are start to gather towards it as it does its attack is starting to gain enough power to push it off I'm confused but also excited i pull out the pokedex to learns thus is haunters ability graveyard its pulls in others shadows to channel the souls of fallen pokemon to aid it battle. Haunter we need to finish this now use everything you've got "Skully" don't let them win shelgon full power" as the attacks go all out they connect with both sides as an explosion is seen from the collisions resulting in a double knock out. "Kite" with both sides being unable to battle the result is a tie" dang we almost beat him next time for sure "Skully" you didn't win but neither did I I'll make sure we face eachother again see you in the competition I won't lose there but do me a favor evolve that haunter I want the honor of crushing it at its full potential" I'll make sure we fight again but if haunter evolves you won't even get a tie. As we walk off the guy who teamed earlier Is gone I wanted to ask him some questions one about his weird aura but as I look around I can sense his aura but can't see him I quickly send out lucario who's exhausted but ask for help we link and quickly zone in on his signature and follow it as I find the source the person it belongs to isnt the same I remember. I'm sorry but I haven't maybe he went off to prepare or he's scoping out the competition?" hmm well thanks anyway, As he turns to leave i quickly use my sword to slash at the man and without doing damage I connect with the jacket as the illusion fades away revealing Kite. Well if I have the correct term I'm what's known as an aura guardian I can sense and control I new something was up when we first met your aura was cloudy and has a dark hue now I know why you have the ability of zoroak. "Kite" well its rare for someone like you to come along and discover me but with abilitys like yours I'm not shocked my ability stems from the training me and my zoroa did as a kid my dad's lucario taught us how to harness our control over aura but we weren't cut out for it but we discovered the training came with different results after zoroa evolved we discovered we could link with eachother and I could copy the ability of it or others on my team however zoroak is the only one who's ability I've been able to use effectively the others are more of a one and done I've tried but they don't really work well but enough about me ide like to learn more about you how about after this competition you and I battle I want to see your true strength but right now we have a competition to start see you in the finals"

with that we make our way with the others where the announcement of rules was made there's two parts of the competition a catching round and a battle round the 4 people who have the most points by the end battle in a 2v2 format the winners get 1 of 2 rare eggs that will hatch in to pokemon from a foreign region. With everything formal out of the way the count Down from 3 "3-2-1 and let the shadow vail catch cup commence' and with that the catch cup begins
