At the end of the mission, I did not expect to be greeted by malice from Zeal after innocently asking a peaceful and non-life-threatening situation. All I wanted was her to teach me some of her moves and techniques in battle. To be honest, I felt a bit crippled and lethargic after she said we're not friends. Well, she has a point since we recently met.
As we return to headquarters through our helicopter, I notice a lingering anger inside of her. I for one, know how it feels, the urge to punch something, and release all your anger to an object. That is how Zeal feels. Her fists are tightly clenched, teeth with immense movement, pushing each other like a battle between two sides. The rest of her emotions are purely absent wherein only resentment, deep resentment is present.
She squints her eyes tightly, shutting off the light from bringing positive thoughts to her mind and giving way for negativity. Even if we are not friends, I feel the urge to help my fellow partner in justice. The negativity surrounding her- the aura is intense. I know how it feels to have deep grief, with the reason behind it sealed from anyone.
We arrive back, and there we parted ways immediately with not even the slightest gesture. All she did was to give me the second microchip and left me for good. I was left with a fork in a road. Either I comfort her or I give the microchips to the leaders. In the end, I decided to put my priorities first, giving the microchip to the executives.
Upon receiving it, the three of them felt glad and pleased, complimenting me with many great words. Once again, guilt shrouds me as I know Zeal was the one who proposed the plans and I merely did nothing but to think of a plan for portion two.
"If I may ask, where is Zeal?" Admin Hector queries with suspicion towards me.
"I- I am uncertain Admin Hector sir. It is either she went to her room or went somewhere else. I swear, I did not do anything to her but for some reason, she was a bit, melancholy." I reply with a soft voice.
"Melancholy? She must be trying to cope up again. Sigh, let her be, the next time you'll know it, she'll be all better." Admin Fortuna says on the other hand.
"Cope up with what? What happened to Zeal? I am desperate to know!"
"Sorry, Luna but what is to remain private will always remain private. Now, you deserve a day-off again tomorrow so run along now and go wherever you want. It is best if you do not bother her." Crimson bids as I place the microchip on the palm of his hands. Without extending the conversation, I leave the room and returning to my very own.
Inside my room, I throw my bag to the floor, completely stressed about the whole mission. Two at once gave me a headache and all I want to do is to sleep and rest. I also forgot to assign someone to protect the egg but it seems fine upon my return. It is looking healthy as ever.
After jumping to my bed, I hear an unusual sound. Something from the table moved abruptly, and knowing I'm alone, fear shrouded me. It can't be the work of Misdreavus since she is inside her Pokeball. She's also my only ghost-type which makes things a bit suspicious.
The table shakes again and there I noticed it was coming from the egg. My drowsiness dispersed right away as I immediately grab my Rotom-phone to further research about this phenomenon. According to the trusty Bulbapedia, the egg usually trembles when it is near hatching. I held my breath after reading this and sat on a chair with the table in front of me.
I then stare at the egg, plain, both emotionless and expressionless. It shakes again and my heart throbs quickly. I've witnessed it for the second time and I believe it is time for the egg to hatch. From emotionless to excitement, I stare for half an hour to hear the cracking noises, to see the immense glow but nothing happened. I consulted Bulbapedia again and just realized it does not mean the egg is shaking it will hatch right away. Although, it is a sign the embryo is matured to the point it can kick its own shelter.
"Oh come on." I sigh with disappointment, hitting my head to the table multiple times.
"Please hatch already. It's been days now, and I'm excited to see you." I beg desperately for the egg to hatch. I even wanted to crack it open and hatch it for the little embryo which will soon be part of my magnificent team. Also please, I hope it would be a feminine to match my ideal team. Knowing nothing much happened to the egg except for shaking, I finally gave up and jumped right into my bed.
Almost entering a deep sleep, my phone alarm rings, surprising me.
"Oh no. I forgot." I panic while declining the alarm. It is currently four in the afternoon, the time I groom my Pokemon but the thing is, I'm too lazy. The water made me cold and the desert made me hot, mix them together and I got a fever.
"I'll just groom them when I wake up," I said to myself, setting another alarm at exactly five in the afternoon to complete my other agendas. With everything taken care of, I can finally sleep peacefully.
Top contributors of Power Stones will be released tomorrow!
Anyway, I'm running out of chapter titles again so prepare for another round of awkward titles which has a few to none co-relation to the chapter. If you've noticed, Luna's narrations are a bit awkward in some parts since she is trying to be sarcastic.
