As I woke up, I dressed up and left my apartment.
As I made it to the Pokemon Center, I laughed at the sight that was before me. Ash, energetic as hell, pestering the trainers that just woke up for a battle with a wager of 11,0000.
Standing beside him, embarrassed, was the redhead beauty Misty. I walked over to the duo and decided to greet them.
Ash and Misty saw me and stopped what they were doing for a moment."Wassp Joey. Ever since what you said yesterday, I have been trying to have battles with wagers but these trainers are all scared", Ash said.
The Pikachu on Ash's shoulder cast a look of shame at Ash, as the trainers weren't actually scared of his battling skills.
After a minute of pestering trainers for a battle with wagers, a trainer accepted, wanting to shut Ash up.
As they made it over to the backyard of the Pokemon Center, there was a Pokemon battlefield.
I decided to referee the match. I stood at a safe distance away before telling the trainers to choose their Pokemon.
Ash's Pikachu jumped off Ash's shoulder and onto the battlefield, ready to rumble. The opposing trainer clicked on of his Poke Balls, releasing a Ponyta.
After getting a nod from Ash and the trainer, I spoke.
"Let the battle begin"!
"Ponyta, use Flame Charge, the opposing trainer shouted. Ponyta stomped the ground, surrounding himself in orange flames before blasting towards Pikachu.
"Pikachu, Thunder Shock", Ash commanded Pikachu.
Pikachu glowed yellow before releasing a small lightning bolt towards Ponyta. Ponyta expertly moved around the Thunder Shock before colliding with Pikachu.
Pikachu skidded across the battle field before coming to a stop. I winced at this. The opposing trainer smirked thinking it was going to be an easy payday.
The trainer called for another Flame Charge, and this time, Ponyta was even faster. Ash looked at this with serious eyes before calling for a move.
"Pikchu, use Agility and then use Thunder Shock", he called out. Right before the Flame Charge connected, Pikachu glowed white before disappearing completely.
The rodent reappeared behind Ponyta before unleashing a bolt of electricity, frying the Ponyta. Ash smiled, turning his baseball cap backward, signifying he was in the zone.
"Pikachu, follow that up with a Quick Attack", Ash said, not letting the trainer breathe. Pikachu then slammed it's body into Ponyta, rag dolling Ponyta across the field.
As the dust cloud from Ponyta crashing into the ground dissipates, Ponyta was laid out on the floor unconscious.
"Ponyta is unable to battle, Pikachu is the winner", I announced, to which Ash jumped in joy over the win.
The trainer was mad but rules were rules, so he walked over to Ash and handed him 11,000 Poke Dollars, and walked away grumpy and cursing silently.
Me and Misty congratulated Ash on the win. Ash grabbed a Potion out of his backpack and healed up Pikachu before running over to other trainers for wagers.
I didn't want to waste my day seeing Ash battle, so I walked away to go do some training. Misty saw this and followed me."Where you heading off to", Misty said, nervously as she didn't want to invade my privacy on accident.
"I'm heading off to the Battle Club. Larvitar can't go a day without training, he's just that belligerent.", I said responding to her. Misty chuckled lightly at the idea before getting one herself.
"You know, I should be training my Goldeen. I haven't had the chance too since she needs to be on water to train effectively. I'll meet you there. I just need to get something.", Misty said before walking off. I didn't really mind, what could go wrong?
I walked over to the Battle Club. I wanted to do something different, before finishing my training with the swimming exercise from yesterday.
I went over to the Target Area, where targets are in different areas of the room, each one being farther and farther away. I released Larvitar and told him what the plan was.
"Larvitar, we are going to practice our new move, Rock Blast. On each target, you have to hit the bullseye 5 times in a row before going to the next target. If you don't hit a bullseye within the first 15 times of trying, no matter where you are, you have to start from the beginning.", I said, explaining the plan to the green reptilian.
It was a hard challenge, but if Larvitar conquers it, his mastery of the move will increase exponentially.
Larvitar began to try to hit the bullseye on the first target, the easiest one. After 10 minutes of trying, one of the rocks finally hit the bullseye. He moved on to the second one, but I guess he didn't adapt quickly though, as he missed 15 times and restarted again. Larvitar finally realized how hard this will be.
______
After 3 long hours, Larvitar finally did it. After that training, I expected Larvitar to be tired of training for the rest of the day.
Instead, he took off towards the swimming pool. I ran after him, following him into the swimming pool. When I entered, my eyes dashed over to the pool and who was there.
Misty was gliding through the water with her Pokemon, the animals following her every move. She was with her Goldeen and Staryu. I couldn't help but notice what she was wearing too. She was equipped with a red bikini which I reacted with a small blush on my face.
I soon snapped out of it before going into the changing room. Before I went in there, I ordered Larvitar to start the exercise and I'll be there shortly.
After that, I changed into my swim trunks and entered the pool. Misty then swam over to me." You finally decided to join me", she said with a big grin.
"Yeah, Larvitar wanted to swim so why say no. Also, I wanted to spend some time with you", I said, which I was awarded with a small blush from Misty..
"I was wondering ,Joey, why are you headed to?", She asked, with a thoughtful expression. I raised an eyebrow at this.
"I was thinking about going to Pewter through Viridian Forest. Thinking of making a temporary group. Would you be down? Ash is probably coming with us too", I said to Misty.
It seemed like Misty was waiting for that question."I mean since I also am traveling to Cerulean City , I guess it wouldn't hurt to travel with you temporarily", she said folding her arms across her chest.
As the day ended, I walked Misty back to the Pokemon Center. Ash was waiting for us, holding a second bag full of Poke Dollars. Ash's Pikachu look tired as hell too. I forgot about Ash's quest for money.
"I told you, Joey. Me and Pikachu were really in sync.", he said as he handed the bag to Misty. I shouldn't be underestimating Ash, he was the future World Champion. Now that I'm here, it would be different.
I explained the plan of travelling through Viridian Forest. He accepted the plan immediately.
"I'll meet you here tomorrow.", I said to them before walking off.
I looked forward to tomorrow, as that's when my journey starts.
