CHAPTER 17 – VS LT. SURGE (PART ONE) (Fixed)

In the previous chapter, we saw how our heroes, along with the Professor and the LT. Surge, they discover the location of the supposed Queen Diglett, which was tied with chains that Team Rocket used to steal her energy and take her to her boss, in addition to chaining Pikachu, Fuecoco and Quaxly, now only Sprigatito and the Professor's Meowscarada remain while the LT. Surge was fighting to free the Queen from the chains.

Excadrill and Farigiraf, the evolved form of Girafarig, this is going to be complicated, both Pokémon are evolutions and Sprigatito just fought, the good thing is that the Professor had his Meowscarada, otherwise it would have been the most complicated to get out of this.

Sprigatito and I looked at each other and nodded, then turned to Pikachu who was still tied up and calmed him down.

"Don't worry Pikachu, in a flash you will be free and ready for action" – I said as I stroked him.

"Pika pi..." – Pikachu said faintly.

Those damn chains, now I'm very angry.

"Let's start, Sprigatito, use Leafage to Excadrill!"

"Meowscarada uses Flower Trick on Farigiraf"

Both attacks were aimed at the respective Pokémon at full speed.

"Ski it and use a drill!" - said James.

"Your equal, skip it and use Psychic!" – said Jessie.

Excadrill dodged the movement and rammed towards Sprigatito using Drill Run.

"Skip it and use Hone Claws!"

Sprigatito could barely dodge it, but he got it and sharpened his claws, literally.

"That was luck, Metal Clawl!"

"Leafage!"

Both attacks collided, but in the end Excadrill was stronger and ended up breaking the foliage, however, I was expecting this and Sprigatito could no longer be seen anywhere.

"Where did he get into?" – exclaimed James in surprise.

"Now, use Leafage!"

Sprigatito directed a huge torrent of leaves towards Excadrill that this time he could not dodge and was sent to fly.

"Shit, a kitten won't beat us, use Drill Run!"

Foliage as strong as the one Liko's Sprigatito made in the third chapter of the anime, which was the last one I saw, came out directed towards Excadrill who was already approaching Sprigatito at a high speed.

At the same time, the Professor's Meowscarada also knocked down the Farigiraf, although with the initial Psychic it started badly.

"Come on Koffing!" - exclaimed James.

Both Pokémon came out, however, just as we were about to fight again, something happened, the ground of the whole place shook and suddenly a huge Dugtrio approached Team Rocket, and believe me I didn't seem to be happy at all.

"TRIO!" roared the Dugtrio.

"Oh, shit!" – said the members of Team Rocket.

Jessie, James and Meowth: Team Rocket has been defeated again!

Then, the big Dugtrio threw a small torrent of sand at our Pokémon that immediately freed Pikachu and the others, so the girls quickly came to hug their little ones, the poor ones couldn't do anything this time, I'm afraid they feel bad about it, so tonight... I'll make them forget that.

He was obviously thanking us.

"It was no pleasure to help you!" – I shouted.

"Make sure no human finds you again!" commented Nancy.

"And change places, Team Rocket could come back!" – added Verity.

"TRIO!" – nodded the Dugtrio.

And then, without saying anything else, all the Diglett and Dugtrio present left the place, digging.

After all this mess, we came out of Diglett Cave.

" Who makes a meal in a restaurant? I'm hungry" – I suggested.

"I'm signing up!" – Nancy said immediately.

"Count me in!" – Verity nodded.

"Pika pi" – Pikachu seemed to love the idea.

"Spri" – Sprigatito also nodded, as did Fuecoco and Quaxly.

"Hahaha, have a good time" – smiled the Professor.

"Don't you come?" – I asked.

"I'm not foolish enough to want to meddle in other people's appointments" – denied the Professor.

"Also, the Professor and I have to do some things before his departure, enjoy your time as a couple" – added the LT. Arises.

After that, he drove us to a restaurant near the Pokémon Center, where, quote, he said the food was exquisite.

In a way it makes sense, it is important to know how to improvise and fight against trainers that you find by chance does not offer the same result as fighting against Gym Leaders, so, theoretically I understand the concept.

"Voltorb uses Rollout!"

Voltorb quickly shot out towards Sprigatito.

"Magical Leaf!"

Leaves of different colors were directed towards Voltorb, the good thing is that this attack never fails, the bad thing is that the Voltorb Rodar scattered the leaves as if it were paper and impacted Sprigatito sending it to fly.

"Are you okay?" – I asked worriedly.

"Spri" – nodded.

"Good because there it comes again, wait for the right moment and jump with all your strength!"

Sprigatito waited until Voltorb was near him and jumped, however, the LT. Surge had other plans and simply smiled.

"As I said before we have to rush things, use Self Destruction!"

"Fuck!"

Sprigatito is very close to Voltorb and it was impossible for him to dodge the attack.

The Voltorb lit up and exploded causing a huge smoke screen that, when it left, both Pokémon were on the ground unable to fight.

"Sprigatito and Voltorb cannot continue!" – said the referee.

"You've done well" – I said as I sent it to his Pokéball.

The LT. Surge did the exact same thing and then took out his other Pokémon.

"Magnemite, I choose you!"

"Go ahead Charmander!"

Charmander and Magnemite went out to the battlefield.

"We won't give up, even if you have the type advantage, use Thundershock!"

What stupidity, my Charmander is extremely strong.

"Skip it and use Flamethrower"

Charmander easily dodged the Impactrueno and launched a huge Flamethrower that completely weakened the Magnemite.

"Magnemite can't keep fighting, Charmander is the victorious!" – exclaimed the referee.

"In one fell swoop, that Charmander is no small feat, I didn't expect it" - said the LT. It arises by returning Magnemite to his Pokéball.

"Charmander is super strong" – I nodded.

An Electabuzz took to the battlefield.

"Flamethrower!"

Charmander threw a huge Flamethrower at Electabuzz.

"Let me show you how strong we are, use Quick Attack to dodge, and then use Thunder Punch!"

The Electabuzz nimbly dodged the Flamethrower and used his Thunder Fist on Charmander.

"Defend yourself using Metal Claw!"

Charmander and Electabuzz hit attacks one after the other, but clearly it was Electabuzz who had the chance to win and so it was, because after a few blows, Electabuzz hit the Thunder Punch and sent Charmander to fly.

"Are you okay?" – I said somewhat nervously.

"Char" – nodded.

But to me it seemed the opposite, Charmander could barely get up and was very scratched, actually Electabuzz did that only after an attack, I think I have no choice but to change it, but just when he was going to send him to his Pokéball, he looked at me.

"Well, I trust you," I nodded.

Charmander gave me a smile, then looked at Electabuzz and roared.

"¡Char!"

Suddenly, a light enveloped him, this is...

"It's evolving!" – exclaimed the LT. He emerges surprised.

Little by little Charmander's silhouette changed and the light dissipated giving rise to a... Charmeleon!"
