Recovery in Violet city
The EMT's checked on everybody and the only people with injuries are Falkner and Michael. Falkner's injuries can be solved with pain meds and time but Michael was rushed to their local hospital and was stabilized. The doctor is currently talking to Finn and Emelia since Michael has no family in this region they have been allowed to be by his side. "He has burns on his back and the back of his legs, and is unconscious with a ventilator to make sure he breathes normally. We don't know the timeline of when he will wake up but he should be fine and walking a few days after he wakes up. We know that he is not from this region but the police have told the hospital that they were able to contact his family and they sent someone to see him."
Emelia thanked the doctor for his help and then both of them returned to Michael's room. They sit next to his bed and Emelia speaks up. "I hope he wakes up soon." Finn hasn't said a word since the battle. He looks down with a sad expression, holding the edge of the bed tightly. "This is all my fault. If I had gotten in the elevator in the first place then Michael wouldn't have gotten hurt." Emelia grabs Finn's left hand. "I don't want to hear you blame yourself for something that none of us could've changed. It's not your fault."
Finn looks at Emelia and shakes his head in compliance. "How about we get some sleep. We've had a long day." Finn suggests. "That works for me. It's not gonna be the most comfortable sleep we've had but it won't be the worst either." That extra comment makes Finn crack a smile. "True, I was also in the hospital for saving someone ya know." Emelia's smile turns into anger. "I was worried about you jerk." Emelia pouts and turns the other way. "I was joking Em, relax. Have a good nights sleep." With that Finn gets up and grabs his jacket that Eevee was laying in and puts it on. Eevee gets mad because she was laying on it comfortably. Finn looks at her being upset about the jacket and opens his arms. "Come here you crybaby." Eevee jumps energetically into his arms. Finn goes over to the chair in the corner of the room, sits down, and falls asleep. Emelia after watching all that leans back in her chair and also falls asleep.
---The next day---
Finn wakes up and looks around the room to see Emelia still asleep and a nurse checking up on Michael. He gets up and tries to wake up Emelia but she doesn't get up so Finn just leaves her. Eevee sits up in his hood and pulls his hair gently to get his attention. "What's up? Wanna go for a walk?" She violently shht we'll relax here for a bit and then we'll go inside and see if Emelia is still asleep." Eevee nods her head in agreement. Finn lets out Zubat to let him bask in the sunlight for a bit.
After about a hour of sitting outside Finn decides that it's time to head back in and check on Emelia. Zubat goes back to his Pokeball and Eevee jumps into the hood. Finn heads back into the hospital and starts the long walk back to Michael's room. When Finn gets about two doors down Eevee pulls on his hair. He turns his head to look at her but she jumps out of the hood and runs to the room. Finn shrugs his shoulders and walks to the room. When he gets to the room he sees Eevee angerly growling at a girl standing next to Emelia over looking Michael.
The girl has long jet black hair in a ponytail. In her hair there is a red flower. She has gray eyes with small pupils. She is wearing a loose white crop top and a purple school tie, tight purple shorts that come up to the midriff. Black thigh highs and black shoes with a purple tongue.
She turns around and meets eyes with Finn. "Do you need something or are you gonna look at me all day?" She says with a soft voice then looks Finn up and down and puts her index finger to her chin. Finn replies to her question with a straight face. "Why are you here?" After asking his question Emelia opens her eyes to see this girl next to her which makes her jump a little. The girl immediately puts the finger that was on her chin on Emelia's mouth to shush her. She talks to both of them softly. "Be quiet, the baby is sleeping." As she says that she places her hand on Michael's face. Finn grabs her wrist the moment she touches him.
Finn looks her in the eyes. "Move your hand! I won't say it again." She tilts her head and smiles. "Calm down. I'm not here to fight anyone. I was sent here by my parents to see how my brother is doing." She lifts her free hand to show that she means no harm. Finn lets go of her and looks at Eevee on the floor still growling. He picks her up and puts her in his hood. She stops growling and calms down but glares at her. "If I'm aloud to speak now, my name is Machi. Again I'm his sister and as you can see, I am the one who is usually with Michael all the time. I'm the only one in our family who is always on his side. Mother and Father don't really care all that much and our older brother is well... That doesn't matter. I volunteered to travel here from my school to see him."
Emelia being the social butterfly that she is starts to talk to Machi about her and her school. She studies abroad as an apprentice for multiple people. She didn't name names but one is a gym leader, one is an elite four member and the final person is her actual sponsor and is in charge of a massive corporation. He wants her to become his assistant and she needs world experience and training in order to work the job. She goes on to talk about her experience with the gym leader has been eye opening.
Machi decides to stay with Michael until he wakes up. A few days pass and Michael still hasn't woken up and Emelia is getting more worried with every day that passes. On the third day since Machi arrived Emelia starts to tear up next to his bed. Finn decides to take Emelia into the hallway to try and calm her down. A few moments after they both leave they hear Machi yell from the room. "BIG BROTHER. I'M SO GLAD YOU ARE AWAKE." Finn and Emelia look at each other in shock. They rush into the room to see Machi crying and hugging her brother. Michael looks around the room to see Emelia in tears and Finn smiling. "Well good morning dummy." Finn says with a smile on his face and extends his fist to Michael. Michael chuckles and replies. "I'm pretty sure the dumb one is you shorty." Michael lifts his hand and both of them share a fist bump.
