Chapter 43 - Ferry to Bukas Town

The next morning, at 4:33 a.m., Rico and his team woke up, grabbed their belongings, and checked out of the hotel, before walking to the port of Kidlat City. There, Rico asked one of the cashiers for a ticket to Bukas Town at 5:00 a.m.

"Okay, are you alone, kid?" the cashier asked him. "Or are you with an adult?"

"Um, I'm alone, sir," Rico answered honestly, "but my Pokémon are with me."

Riolu then responded with confirmation.

"I see," the cashier responded. "Well, that'll be 120 Poké Dollars, kid."

In response to that, Rico get his wallet from his backpack, get some money, and give it to the cashier.

Receiving the money, the cashier gave him the ticket and said, "Your ship will be leave at 5:00 a.m."

Receiving the ticket, Rico bowed slightly for a few seconds, and responded, "Thank you so much."

He and his team then proceeded to the security checkpoint in order to get to the waiting area.

After successfully passing through the security checkpoint, they went to the waiting area, and settled down at an empty row of seats. At this point, Absol and Starly are in their Poké Balls, and only Riolu, Litleo, and Piplup are out of their Poké Balls, and are with their Trainer.

Later, they grew a bit bored while waiting for the announcement. Outside of the terminal building, ferries are parked at the harbors, while most of them are either in the stage of boarding or in the stage of emptying in order to make room for new passengers. One of them, named the S.S. Manuel, was in the process of letting vehicles in before the passenger themselves.

Then, by 4:49 a.m., the announcement called for those who were bound for Bukas Town via the S.S. Manuel, and Rico and his team snapped out from being bored, and they eventually stand up, grabbed their belongings, and went to line up with the other passengers. One terminal staff member was checking their tickets and tearing one part of their tickets as confirmation of their boarding. Luckily, Rico had his ticket, and he and his team had managed to pass through. After that, they walked all way to their ferry and climbed the stairs all the way to the second deck. There they searched for an empty comfortable sofa to sleep on. After a little bit of searching, they found one at the air-conditioned room of the ferry, and they eventually settled in and use the backpack as a pillow, and Rico lay down on the sofa, and fell asleep. His Pokémon then gathered around him and fell asleep as well. Later, at exact 5:00 a.m. in the morning, the anchor was hoisted up, and the ferry started to depart from the port of Kidlat and towards Bukas Town. The voyage will take 4 hours to complete.

Along the way, as the sun rises beautifully on the sea horizon, Rico and his Pokémon woke up at 7 in the morning. Rico then yawned and rolled his eyes a few times.

"What time is it?" he asked himself. He then grabbed his smartphone from his backpack, and checked the time. It was 7:09 a.m., and most of the passengers and their Pokémon are already eating breakfast at the ferry's cafeteria.

Rico then stand up, and said to his Pokémon, "Well, let's have breakfast."

His Pokémon then agreed, and they and their Trainer went to the cafeteria to eat breakfast, carrying Rico's backpack.

At the cafeteria, Rico bought cup noodles for 20 Poké Dollars. He already had his water bottle and already filled it up at the hotel restaurant the night before. After paying for his cup noodles, Rico and his Pokémon went to a table for four and settled down. While waiting for his cup noodles to be cooked, Rico get his team's food bowls and food, and poured the food into the bowls, before serving them to his team. He then called Absol and Starly from their Poké Balls, and they came out with an energetic mood.

"All of you, eat up," Rico told them.

His team did so, and they eat up their special food.

With that, Rico rolled the food bag closed and put it back into his backpack, before sitting down and opened up his now cooked noodle breakfast. The atmosphere around them was a bit busy, but it was peaceful.

Later, at 7:28 a.m., Rico and his team are finished eating, and Rico took their empty food bowls and put them away in his backpack, before proceeding to throw the empty cup into a trash bin. After that, Rico grabbed his water bottle and backpack, and they all went back to their spot in the cabin.

By 8:50 a.m., 10 minutes before arriving at Bukas Town, they are at viewing deck looking at the sea horizon, seeing its beauty of nature.

"I wondered what is the type of the gym at Labuyo Town will be," Rico thought to himself.
