25: Vermillion city cruise & Alissa

Leo wore a pair of slippers and some swimming trunks before stepping out, he also carried a small suitcase.

With the amount of money he currently had, he could definitely afford the cruise and even buy a big private room for himself on the ship.

"Thank you sir, here is your ticket" a lady dressed in a suit said as she stood next to the ship ramp, she smiled as she counted the money before letting Leo on board.

"This ship is really big, Leo thought" he had even noticed a few civilians walking around with their Pokémon.

Not only that, there was a huge pool and many food stands, the cruise ship would also take many stops along the way, so people could hop out and enjoy the sea.

There were also many guards stationed inside the ship although this was a Pokémon world, people could still die from Pokémon attacks.

Not only that, there were pirates around the seas as well, for the safety of the civilians, they had to take all protective measures

"H-hey, I remember you, your Leo right?" A young girl said as she walked up to Leo, she was wearing a small bikini which barely covered her curves.

"It seems like people have already gotten comfortable on this ship" Leo thought.

"Yes my name is Leo, but who are you?" Leo asked, he didn't recall ever meeting her.

"Hmph, ignorant as always huh, my name is Alissa, i also came from the Kanto region and started my Pokémon journey" she said with a smile.

"Ohh- Wait, then does that mean you are here to challenge the vermillion city gym?" Leo asked curiously, he was actually started.

"That crazy muscular dude? Hell no, I came here on vacation, I'm not really that crazy about Pokémon battles or whatever" Alissa said in a lazy tone.

"Oh, well it's nice to meet you Alissa" Leo said before preparing to leave.

"Wait, Leo, I didn't think you would already be in Vermillion city, I saw your post of course, and this should already be your third gym battle I assume" Alissa said with a surprised look on her face.

"It was nothing, but training all day made me really stiff, so I decided to come take a break on this cruise" Leo stopped before replying to Alissa calmly.

"Well I'm only here because my older brother works as a guard on this ship, his Pokémon are all strong so this cruise should be pretty safe, this is also my first time visiting him at his work" Alissa said with a proud look.

"Your brother must be strong then, but anyways Alissa, is there anything fun to do on this cruise." Leo asked her after some thought, he didn't mind becoming friends with this Alissa, she seemed pretty nice.

"Of course there is, come here" she said before grabbing his arm and running off.

"I guess I'd rather have a beautiful girl pull me away than a man" Leo thought helplessly, although the wasn't homophobic, that didn't mean he would become gay just to support gay people.

Alissa pulled Leo towards a small board on the ship, it listed many places and the locations on the ship.

There was a small theater, and the pool which could already be seen, and there were many good places, arcades, and more.

"Oh yea, I forgot to mention before I left pallet town, I came with a few others, basically a group of friends, only two" Alissa said as they left the area around the small board, they had also previously exchanged contact information.

The ship's pool area was full of people, but the rest were probably either in their room or haven't even came out at all.

"Oh really? Where are they?" Leo asked, he didn't like talking to people, but he decided to become a bit more social in this world.

"my girlfriend isn't here yet, and the guy friend should be..." she stopped and pulled out her phone.

"He got Stuck in a mall, but once they come I'll inform you and we can hang out" she said before waving and running away happily.
