It was around 6am in the morning and the alarm was already screaming.
I gave it a smack more than once to stop the incessant screeching, but it kept going, exercising it's impatience to get me out of bed. I reluctantly opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling for like a minute. Changed my position to the other side of the room and looked at Shade, she was still snoring and lost in the wonder world.
Shade has been my friend from childhood and till now, we are still friends, in fact she is a friend turned sister. Everybody knows her with me and I love her endlessly, or used to love her endlessly. We both applied for "Jamb" to study in the same University as it appeared we were not ready to be separated in any way. I hurriedly woke her up and reminded her we ought to be in the lecture room for MCB 107 and most importantly, we have to be there even before the lecturer. We walked inside the lecture theater while I kept looking at Shade horribly. I kept looking for where the beauty lies which attracted that very cute guy but I can't find it. I mean, she looked like a baboon craving for bananas even though it doesn't make up their diet.
