Week 18: Here we come Apocalypse

You: "Okay, lets go to the apocalyptic world."

Kore: "Sure, I'll take you there now."

The world around you seems to start to spin around you, starting slow, then speeding up at an accelerating pace. Once it's going around you so fast all you see is lines of light it starts to slow in the same way it started. Once it stops you see you are now in a completely different landscape.

You rub your eyes and look around. As you are looking around you notice what appears to be ruins. These ruins look remarkably like what one would expect Tokyo to look like if it were ever destroyed by a large earthquake then left abandoned for at least 100 years.

You: "where are we and what happened with all those colors?"

Kore: "We are in what use to be this world's version of Tokyo. This world was completely identical to your own until Hitler. Hitler had a scientist that discovered a unique energy that could cause even more damage than nuclear physics would deem possible... he didn't however know how much damage it'd do. This weapon fried all electronics & released this energy world wide, after wiping all of the European continent off the face of the world, including the scientist and Hitler."

Kore: "This energy would later be called Qi, and those that can learn to use it called cultivators."

You: "Could you teach me how Qi Works?"

Kore: "If you mean how to use it, it'd be pointless unless you choose this world... however, if you mean the system of Qi and it's possible uses, sure."

Kore: "Cultivators are broken up into 3 categories... Mortals, those who's life expectancy is less than 200 years... Demimortals, those who's life expectancy is 200-1 million years... and Immortals, those who's life expectancy is over 1 million years. As of yet none have become a true immortal, one who won't die of old age no matter how long they live. All 3 categories are broken into tiers, with each tier having 3 grades of Low, Medium, and High. Mortals tiers are Awaking, Strengthening, and Transcending. Each Mortal grade you brake through adds 5 years of life expectancy, each tier adds an additional 15 years, with breaking beyond Transcending adding 100 years. Mortal category is the only one that deals in set year amounts, after that it's in percentage of life left... so the faster you cultivate, the better your chances of advancing further, and the longer you will live. In the Demimortal category there are 9 tiers, broken into 3 groups of 3. The first group is called Body, where each grade focuses on strengthening a specific part of the body. The Tiers of the Body group are called Cardiovascular, Neuroskeletal, and Dermal. The 2nd group is called Perception, where the general point is to improve your perception of the world around you. The tiers of the Perception group are called 5 Senses, Spacial, and Temporal. Lastly the 3rd group is called Soul, where you improve aspects of your soul. The tiers of the Soul group are Body, Sense, and Separation. in Demimortal each Grade increases life expectancy by 1%, Tier by 10%, and group by 50%."

Kore: "Also, as far as the Immortal, the number of tiers is unknown, however each grade increases your life expectancy by 10% and each tier by 50%."

Kore: "Would you like me to explain how Qi can be used as well?"

You: "Yes please... also, where is everyone?"

Kore: "Most people reside inside of Sects, these Sects usually having an Immortal protector while being run by Demimortals. Non-Cultivators and Mortals usually being the ones to do the more remedial jobs like livestock care and farming."

Kore: "Now Qi uses are mainly limited by only 3 things, the amount of Qi your body can contain... this increasing as you increase in grades; your affinities, this never changes; and your imagination. As long as you have the right affinity and enough Qi, your only limitation is what you can think of."

Kore: "As far as Affinities go, there are as many types and combinations as there are lives that have ever existed, and they seem to have no rhyme nor reason in this world."
