After the shocking event that happened, Oli took a whole five minutes to recover and process what transpired and when Oli recovered, Elder Alfred explained what happened.

Chronos' name is special to the residents living on the Continent. The people don't know what is special about it but, the people of the Continent of Chronos respect and fear Chronos's name. That's why, when one pledges their allegiance, they pledge in Chronos name so that they don't betray and stay loyal whatever happens. If they break their pledge, the golden chain that binds them will tighten until their bodies break apart and suffocate them until they die. The Kings and Emperors use it for their retainers so that they can't betray them.

So, when the twenty-five farmers pledge in Chronos name, they will be stay loyal to Oli whatever happens.

When Oli thought about it, all he could think is, magic. So, he was sure now that this world is magical. Even though, he has never seen elves, demons, or dwarves, that golden chain alone is enough to convince Oli.

"There's nothing I could do, after all, it's already happened. Sigh." Oli said when Elder Alfred finished explaining.

"So, I know all of know why are you all here, right? My plan is to revive and modify the farming system that you guys currently used. And may I ask, what is the farming system currently being used?" Oli ask a question and Jose answered it.

"Young Master, the two-field system is the one being used throughout the Continent. It is the knowledge passed down by our ancestors."

'Even though the map of the Continent of Chronos and, Earth is the same, there is still a big difference between the two. A proof of this is the farming system they use. Hopefully, the author of the book I read as well as our ancestors on Earth, would not be enraged if I borrowed the idea they invented and made. This is for the good of all and, also as thanks for the gold that I been received and is yet to be obtained. 'Oli thought before continuing to speak.

"Jose, can you please explain what is this two-field system about?" Oli.

"Uhm, the two-field system is the method where the farmland is split into two fields. The one field is developed with grain, seed, or rye while the other field lays fallow until the following planting season to recover the fertility of the land." Jose explained.

"Thank you for the explanation, Jose. Don't you see or observe that the other field is a waste because it is not being used?" Oli.

All the farmers looked at Oli with scoffed expression and thought, 'How can the other field be wasted when it will be planted in the next planting season. They let the soil fallow to restore soil fertility.'

Jose was about to speak to voice out his thoughts but, Oli raised his right hand showing that he wasn't finished speaking yet.

"Yes, it is a waste from my point of view but, for you guys who have grown to do farming, the two-field system is the best method but don't you think that there is only a single crop that you harvest and that harvested crop can't sustain for long and the livestock you take care of, can't breed all year long?"

When Oli said this, all the farmers began to think what Oli just said and, one by one they, started to nod agreeing, on what Oli just told them.

"Yes, your right young master. The harvested crop can't sustain us for too long and, it is only sufficient to feed the village we, can't sell any." One of the farmers said.

Oli smiled when he heard that, then he said, "That's why I will introduce to you guys the four-field crop rotation system."

When Oli said that, he asked if there's a nearby river because the four-field system can't function sufficiently if there's no irrigation system. The four-field system can still function, but the labor of manual watering is long and tedious.

They walked Northwest from the village to reach the river Aras. The group consists of Oli, Jose, Zion, and Liam. Zion and Liam are included because the Aras river is the boundary of Innisgue Forest, the forest where Oli first opened the portal and where he was attacked by the black bear and the pack of black wolves.

"Liam, stay vigilante. We're near the territory of black wolves." Zion said to his son while he was walking in the front and, Liam is in the back. Oli and Jose were in the middle because they can't fight.

It takes a whole three hours before they reach the river. When they reach the river, they saw the long river with crystal clear water that stretches through another village or Kingdom. Oli walked near the river and tried to drink some water, which he tasted freshwater.

"We can use this river to connect the irrigation system and use it as a water source," Oli said while looking around if there are obstacles that will block their construction if they start building.

"This is where we get drinking water and water supply from the farmlands young master." Zion said.

"Forgive my rudeness young master but, can I ask a question?" Jose while scratching the back of his head.

"Oh, go on. You can ask anything Jose." Oli replied while smiling.

"What is this irrigation system that you are talking about?" Jose asked.

And with that, while they are walking back to the village, Oli started to tell what the irrigation system is and how important and sufficient it is in farming. Lucky, the group didn't encounter any trouble.

When they returned to the village, Oli immediately went to his room to open the portal to return to Earth and buy an irrigation pipe that they will use in the construction.

When he returned, he immediately looked at his money in his bank account and, he still had $ 2000 left. Oli estimated that from Leefside village to Aras river is 11 km and, he needed roughly around a thousand or more pipes to connect the Aras River to the farmland.

He can buy right now but, the problem is, it's going to be suspicious if he buys a thousand pipes so, Oli decided that he will, buy a hundred pipe every day and put it in the vacant lot near his apartment. Oli will bring it to the Continent at midnight so that no one could see the portal.

By now, Oli considering buying his own house to avoid this kind of problem in the future. Oli also unconsciously didn't know that despite what he said of being a temporary chairman of Leefside, he started to like this job.

The first thing Oli found out about the portal was that where he last opened the portal, the portal will open again where he last opened it. And now, Oli found out something new on the portal. When he was about to transfer the pipes, he thought that it would take a long time to transfer, so Oli wondered if he could open the portal at the top of a hundred pipes and lower the portal to the pipes to automatically transfer it. At the same time, when Oli thought of this, the portal opened above the pipes and, what he was thinking happened. The portal automatically transferred the pipes. When he opened the portal again to see if the pipes transfer to the castle grounds, he was shocked at the sight of hundred pipes that were stocked in the castle grounds.

"Shit, the portal can be used like this while I struggle to carry and pull the bamboos back and forth." Oli said in a tired expression before he go back to sleep.

It was seven o'clock in the morning when Oli woke up. Still sleepy, Oli started to clean himself and changed his clothes into comfortable ones he was going to guide and help the workers to construct the irrigation system. When he finished, he looked at the mirror saw himself, an Asian young man with black hair and eyes Oli's hair also became longer, and under his eyes are black circles, proof of lack of sleep. Before Oli goes back, he grabs the irrigation plan he searches on the internet and prints it. They will follow this plan to construct the irrigation system.

When Oli arrived at the castle, Zion immediately greeted him to say that the men were ready and would bring the pipes to the Aras river. They were just waiting for Oli to arrive. Oli wasted no time and immediately ordered Zion to start carrying the pipes.

The population of Leefside is around 200 people. One hundred men are composed of adults, elders, and children, same in women. Oli's companions were fifty men doing the job of lifting, digging, and assembling the pipes.

Roughly, the walk between the Leefside and Aras river would take three hours. There are no horses and carriage in the Leefside and, since they carried the pipe along the way, they take five to six hours to arrive and get started.

Oli lived and got used to the Era with automobiles, so when they reached the Aras river, he was exhausted. The period on the Continent of Chronos is set in Middle Ages, so the fuel-based vehicle has yet been invented. The primary vehicles used by residents here are horses and carriages.

While the men were digging, Oli approached Zion to ask something.

"Thank you for joining us here Uncle Zion. I want to ask something, is there a store where we could buy some seeds, livestock as well horses and carriage. As you can see, I'm not used to the long journey, especially walking." Oli said while chuckling.

"Hahaha, I also see that you, the young master had trouble in a long journey and, if we are hoping of trading seeds, livestock's, Lapin Kingdom is better and near. For horses and, carriage, I think it will be difficult for us to get and, find one. Many wars are happening right now and, a war that is just about to happen so, every horse in Kingdoms or Empires goes immediately. The carriage is too expensive and, the village doesn't have the money to buy one. " Zion said in a relaxed expression.

"Is that so? But I don't think it will be difficult for us to find a horse and carriage. Trust me. So, how long's the journey?" Oli.

"Eight days and half." Zion.

When Oli heard it, he was baffled. It's freaking eight days. Eight days on walking! Eight freaking days sleeping outside! Oli was about to speak when they heard a commotion in the assembly team and, after that, the man named Ino, who Oli assigned as a leader in the assembly team, came on running.

"Young master! Sorry for disrupting your conversation with Sir Zion but, there's a problem with the pipes! I hope you can take a looked." Ino said.

Without a second thought, Oli immediately followed Ino to looked the problem. What he saw was the end of the pipe busted. The pipes are made of plastic so, one wrong move, it will break. They can't properly install the pipes. Oli is not an engineer and, not an expert in this kind of field, so Oli is having trouble with how he can solve this problem. All Oli needs is an expert in this field or, a master craftsman, to be able to install the irrigation pipes but, sadly, there's no such a person in the village.

"We can't install the pipes properly. If we try again, the results are still the same. I hope I can find an expert or master craftsman." Oli said while looking at the broken pipes.

"You can't find a master craftsman in these parts, young master. No human being hail as a master craftsman, only a dwarf and, I think only a dwarf will be able to do this difficult design, young master." Zion said while looking at the plan.

"Dwarf? Where could we find such a being? Can we hire them? Or talked to them?" Oli.

"I'm afraid not, young master. Like the elves, the dwarves also distance themselves to humans but, if we are lucky, I think you can find one to the..." Zion

"To what?" Oli.
