17 - Mayor's Action

The City of Opolice is a bustling place where felons hide and reek havoc

although at the moment being robbed or robbing isn't where their attention was, at the entrance everyone watched the entrance of two enchanting people walk in, Even though the woman wore a mask over her nose and mout and wearing all white everyone can see her beautiful green eyes, slim figure and pale porcelain skin. on the other hand the man was just the very definition of beauty, if the man was also a woman they would have already asked for her family house and ask for his hand.

the man had white long hair, slant eyes , pinkish lips and a well physic, his light blue robe complemented his height and appearance add to the fact his hair was flowing elegantly behind him.

both were just like royalties, They started picturing the mayor's daughter and the beautiful maiden walking in the city gates.

the mayor's daughter was also indeed beautiful but wasn't close to the peerless maiden in white.

"I told you , you should have disguised yourself too" Yo Huiyin now Yu Yan said to the man walking beside her

"Even with disguised we're still conspicuous." Bao Shīzi stated his eyes gesturing to her eyes which was outstanding over her white mask

"Then we must take shelter here first. once we get a room in one of the inn's we can begin looking for herbal houses that have the herbs in this list."

Bao Shīzi nodded. he can't beleive he is actually finally serving his family's savior

he smiled to himself not caring about the sudden shrill of the girls close by that watched him, And within those group of women stood a beautiful girl with black eyes and brownish skin, The daughters mayor, Yi Zhen clutched the basket of flowers in her hand watching the man intently

[He's perfect! he's the one for me! I must report to father! I must marry this man!] with a resolution in mind

"Zhen Zhen! where are you going?" the girls called out to the beautiful girl but the latter has already left rushing to her chair sedan and ordering them to go back to their manor fast

Meanwhile Yu Yan and Bao Shīzi have checked in an inn of two seperate rooms, Yu Yan sat infront of a table and began separating the list of herbs that can be found within the city and those that can be found in a different city

just thinking about how many cities they need to visit to find these rare herbs was giving her a headache.

she plan to make different types of medicine that has yet been made in these time period and to create a name for her new self, her plan was to Spread word of herself in order for her to easily recruite people to work for her, It's easy to say she's planning to create an army by her side. In this world the strong and the wealthy are on top, But if you have great influence and skilled in medicine a lot of people will join force with you.

after all this wasn't an ordinary world, And if she invents something that is yet invented here more influences will come fawning over her, It was the only way she could think of to get revenge.

plus the Yo Family wasn't just a family with great imperial physician as their pillar, They were also great friends with the Chao Family, The Chao family held the military forces that can rebel the imperial soldiers

this was the reason she couldn't just went in and strike down those who have humiliated and hurt her

although the problem is, She will struggle making these medicines since the time period she is in has yet invented some machinary and tools she uses to produce them

so she has to start back to the basic way, although not easy she'll pull through

as she was finishing up, folding the papers and titling them as to which city they can be found a loud knock caught her attention, she heard arguing from outside her door and some loud bangs until her door opened wide, She calmly watched men in armor came in her room with spears and swords pointed towards her

her mask was still on but behind that mask held a mischievous smirk, people already began looking trouble for her now she doesn't really have to worry about her safety, If she could loop these people with her words she can monopolize them to do stuff for her. Unfortunately she has to deal with them right now, she needs to show them first who's the boss

"Woman! you must come with us! the mayor wants to speak with you"

one of the men used 'Must' and 'Wants' in their sentence as of telling her that it was an order and she has no say to it

"and if I refuse...?" she said playfully, she needs them to spill the Beans first before she even follow them, Plus she needs to show them she isn't someone to disrespect "You barge in someones room and order them around like you feed them. My question is what is your standing in this that you have such audacity to think your hot stuff." she couldn't help the sass in her voice

they remind her so much of her sassy sister back in the 21st Century....
