His neighbour

Cameron  looked outside, rubbing his temple. First he didn't find anyone, then he looked in the opposite direction of his bedroom. He heard the laughter from that direction. He saw a man standing at the window facing his back. 

Just when he was turning his head, he found his fiety assistant walking towards that man. Still she was laughing while looking at him. He could see the dimples on her cheeks. She looked carefree with that man.

Ava moved closer to him and patted the wet hair of that man.

Cameron was startled to see her in the same building. He never imagined that Mr. Lewis would give his adjacent apartment to his assistant. His lips curved into a smile when he came to know his feisty assistant is going to stay as his neighbour. 

But all of a sudden, his smile died when he saw that man twisted her arm at the back  and whispered something in her ears. He clenched his jaws looking at them.

Cameron could understand the closeness between them by watching them. But he could not hear what they were talking about as their windows were far from one another. 

" Who is he! Her boyfriend! " Cameron doubted.

" Is he the reason for ignoring me! Is he the reason my charms are not working on her! Is he going to live with her! " He thought in his mind.

When he was in his own thoughts, both of them left the place. He could see the face of that man. He wanted to know how the man looked. He was so curious why Ava was interested in that man. He stood there for some time thinking about it and then went back to his bed. He sat at the edge of the bed.

Suddenly one idea popped out in his mind, to know how the man is with Ava. He took his mobile on the nightstand and opened an app in his mobile. As there waa CCTV cameras installed on his floor, he can view the video recordings through the app.

He quickly opened the app to see the video from the last two hours. He saw three people entering the floor. Apart from Ava, he noticed the same man and elderly woman in the video. He could see that man's face clearly.

In Ava's apartment

As the food order arrived, Ava and Jake went to the living hall. Garry noticed Jake's shirt and face which was drenched with water.

" Ava ...is it your deed! " Garry questioned her. Ava hid her smile looking at Jake whereas he was glaring at her.

" Ava ...you are not a kid anymore…." Garry said in a strict tone.

" It was Jake who started first. I was doing my work…." She whined just like a kid. Jake was enjoying it when Garry was giving a small lecture to her.

" Okay ….aunt Garry ...leave it...let's have something to eat. I am starving…" Jake interrupted after a few minutes. Garry stopped with his words and they had food in silence.

 " Do you help in arranging things? " Jake asked while cleaning his hands.

" No …. thanks…" she replied with a serious look.

" Okay….bye...then…" Jake stood to leave. Then Aunt Garry asked to leave him up to the elevator. Ava agreed and followed him silently out of her apartment. 

While walking to the elevator, he said, " You look so beautiful while laughing. Keep smiling…." Jake said, while pressing the button of the elevator.

" Thank you. But you look like an idiot while teasing me ...." She retorted. Jake laughed at her and said, " You need to take private lessons on how to flirt with others…."
