Chapter 10: Nail-biting fight

Ryan was unable to avoid the fist from the third cranonian and it crashed into him. It felt like a truck crashed into him and he got sent flying. His body found the floor before rolling and then coming to a standstill. He got up and realized the sword was quite a distance from him.

'How far is Wikkie. It's starting to get dangerous', Ryan thought as he looked at where he left Wikkie. He felt his stomach churning as he looked at Wikkie fighting against the cranonian leader with the staff. Cassidy wasn't far off as she kept the lion distracted.

The lion was trying to catch up to her but just as it got close, she would move faster and it would have to chase her again. Wikkie and the leader's weapons kept clashing and it didn't look like anyone had an advantage but Ryan knew that Wikkie knew about it's legs.

"#$& ¥£€¢ @$°€¢," a rough voice talking in the cranonian language came from Ryan's side. He looked to his left and saw a fist coming towards him. He placed his arms in front of his chest and took the hit. He got sent flying again before rolling on the ground.

He looked up and saw a cranonian coming from the air. It was trying to crush Ryan with it's body weight. He quickly rolled out of the way before getting up and running towards the sword. There wasn't even a dent in the floor where the cranonian landed.

The ship didn't even shake. Ryan managed to reach the sword and looked at the three giant cranonians. He was racking his brain trying to come up with a plan. He wanted to distract them at first but now, he had to either kill them or stall them long enough to bomb that engine himself.

The three cranonians chased after Ryan with their giant bodies and all he did was run around and avoid being cornered. There was no way he could stall them. He had no other choice. It's either kill, or be killed.

With this resolve, Ryan started looking for a way to kill them. There was only two vital organs in someone's body. The first being the heart. The second being the brain. He ran to the closest giant cranonian with all the speed he could muster.

The cranonian immediately threw out a punch toward him. Ryan jumped onto it's hand and ran up it's arm before jumping and stabbing the sword into it's eye. The cranonian groaned and Ryan pulled his sword out before running down the cranonian's arm and jumping away from it.

The other two cranonians stood still as the first one collapsed onto the floor. There was silence around Ryan. The only sound was the sound of Wikkie's sword and the leader's staff clashing with one another. The sound was echoing through the air.

The two giant cranonians got enraged and rushed towards Ryan. He rushed towards them too and got ready to dodge the first punch but instead of a punch, the closest cranonian lifted it's fist. Ryan stopped running and waited for it.

The giant cranonian smashed down with it's fist. Ryan jumped out of the way and grabbed onto it's arm. He ran up the arm of the cranonian and went straight for it's eye. Out of the corner of his eye, Ryan saw the hand of the other cranonian heading for him.

Ryan didn't have time to think and he threw the sword at the cranonian's eye. Ryan only had time to see the sword entering the cranonian's eye before he got smacked away. He rolled on the ground and quickly got up.

The cranonian was thrashing around but the sword wasn't deep enough to cause a fatal injury. The other cranonian was already heading towards Ryan and punched towards him again. Ryan swiftly jumped onto it's arm.

Ryan was already used to the cranonians' movement and he quickly got onto the shoulder of the cranonian and jumped towards the other one with the sword in it's eye. He kicked the hilt of the sword deeper into it's eye and grabbed onto it.

The cranonian fell to the ground with Ryan on top of it. Ryan tried pulling out the sword but it wouldn't move. He placed all his strength into his arms and legs and pulled. Ryan was barely making it move when he got punched by the last giant cranonian.

Ryan smashed into the wall and collapsed onto the ground. He tried getting up but that uncomfortable feeling in his chest got even worse. He knew now why he felt that way. He had a few cracked ribs and now it was really broken.

Ryan managed to get up but his sight was fuzzy. He couldn't make out anything clearly. This didn't last long as his sight got better. The last cranonian was looking at it's partner and didn't care about anything else.

"¶∆°£ $•π£ #$°&," the cranonian was saying something and getting smaller. Ryan looked on as it kept shrinking. It kept on talking in it's strange language and getting smaller. When it finally got to the size of the average human, it stopped.

Ryan got a really bad feeling. The cranonian turned towards him and held out it's hand. The hand turned into a slimy mess before becoming long and cone shaped. A smile appeared on the face of the cranonian and it's teeth was all over the place.

"Ryan! Here!" a voice echoed through the air. Ryan looked to where it came from and saw Cassidy pointing in the air. A small knife was heading towards him. Ryan felt something and the cranonian was running towards him.

The cranonian had the cone pointing straight at him. It was incredibly fast but the knife was closer. Ryan held out his hand to grab the knife but it went passed him. The cranonian was already close to him. He jumped towards the knife and picked it up before turning around.

He held out the knife without looking and all he heard was a piercing sound.
