The bathroom

Alita stirred awake several hours later and she opened her eyes. Her eyes stayed on the ceiling for a while as her mind tried to pick up from where it had stopped.

Slowly, her brows drew together into a frown as the realization hit her. The ceiling she was looking at was different from the one she had been waking up to the last few days.

Panic set in as she turned her head to the side only to confirm that she was in a strange room. This was no hotel room... How did she manage to...

She turned the other way and almost jumped away in fright. However, her body was still too weak to move. The memories her mind was trying to recollect came flooding in the moment she set eyes on him. Frowning harder, she glared at the man who just raised his head from the bed to look at her.
