Opposite

Unknown to her, her disguise had dropped and she was in her original form. When the humans saw her, they panicked and attacked her with various weapons she didn't take time to note as she was struggling to save her life.

Exhausted from the long travel and the running away from the humans, she found it difficult to teleport to another location. When she ran a considerable distance away from them, she took some time to catch her breath, then tried again.

This time, it worked and she teleported, but she didn't get to her destination before her strength failed her and she fell straight into the water. In addition to all the minor injuries she had sustained on the island, a sharp stone inside the water where she fell pierced her side.
