Look Away

"I need to use the bathroom." Axel heard her say and he jumped to his feet in readiness to help her get to the bathroom. Knowing already that her body was still recovering from the effects of the sudden awakening of the venom, her extreme weakness was no surprise to him.

"W-what are you d-doing?" Alita stuttered in slight panic when his hand moved towards her. If she could move her body, she would have scrambled away so fast it would look as if something extremely hot just scalded her.

"You said you needed to use the bathroom. I want to help you." He answered, his face telling her that his intentions were quite obvious. However, he knitted his brows when she shook her head vigorously and he paused.

"What wrong?" He asked, clearly confused by her action. Did he hear wrong when she said she needed to use the bathroom or did she perhaps mean something different with that statement?
