"Then the bell was sent flying somewhere over the clouds in the air," Olvia said excitedly.
"Probably. Let's climb," Jack smiled.
The group, filled with renewed determination, began their ascent. They climbed Giant Jack, the colossal beanstalk that towered over Skypiea, searching for the elusive Golden Bell.
As they climbed, passing through the cloud layer, the group saw a giant bell reflecting the sunlight not far away from Giant Jack, but it was still a distance away from the plant and impossible to jump. The girls excitedly discussed how they could possibly retrieve the bell, overjoyed that they had finally found it.
"We've found it!" Aria squealed, her eyes wide with excitement.
"Indeed, it's the Golden Bell," Olvia confirmed, her voice filled with awe. "But how do we get there?"
Luna and Sophie exchanged glances, their minds racing to find a solution. Meanwhile, Amelia held Aria protectively, her eyes locked on the distant bell.
Jack frowned as he assessed the situation, knowing that he'd have to use the painful technique, Sky Sprint-Air Walk, that caused his muscles to tear whenever he used it. He didn't want to show his pain in front of his family, but he couldn't let the bell slip through their fingers.
Steeling himself, Jack grumbled and then took a deep breath. Without a word, he leaped from Giant Jack towards the small cloud island where the bell was. As he was about to fall, he used the Sky Sprint-Air Walk technique to kick the air, propelling himself towards the bell despite the searing pain that shot through his muscles. His family watched in awe and concern, knowing the price he paid for using such a powerful technique.
As Jack finally reached the bell, he gritted his teeth against the pain and touched the magnificent artifact. The Golden Bell shimmered in response, and with a gentle push, he sent it to his Pocket Space. The group watched with bated breath, relieved and proud of Jack's success.
Now that the task was done, Jack used the technique one more time to return to his family on Giant Jack, trying to hide the pain he felt from his loved ones. As they climbed down together, the excitement was palpable, and their descent was filled with the chatter of the girls, eagerly anticipating their return to the Gold City.
Upon reaching the city, Jack took out the Golden Bell from his Pocket Space. The girls approached it with reverence and curiosity, their eyes wide with amazement. Olvia, her heart pounding with anticipation, began to read the Poneglyph inscriptions that adorned the bell.
"Amazing," she whispered, her eyes scanning the ancient text. "This is a piece of history that has been lost for centuries, and now we've found it."
Aria, her eyes sparkling with pride, looked up at her father. "Daddy, you did it!"
Jack's calm blue eyes softened as he met her gaze, a small smile playing on his lips. "We did it, Princess."
Robin, eager to be part of the excitement, clapped her hands and repeated, "Daddy did it!"
Olvia continued to study the Poneglyph, her eyes widening as she uncovered more information about the ancient Shandians and their connection to the city. The group listened with rapt attention, their fascination with the city's history growing with every revelation.
After they were done with the reading, Jack gathered his family and shared his plans. This island belonged to the Shandians, and they deserved to have it back. However, he also understood Ponis's longing to step onto the earth, so he came to a conclusion that would hopefully satisfy both parties.
The girls covered their ears as Jack took a deep breath and shouted, his voice booming through the air. "SHANDIANS, COME OUT!" His voice reverberated all around the Upper Yard and even reached Angel Island. Everyone, including the guards at Angel Island, heard him. They assumed their god was in danger and rushed towards Upper Yard, weapons in hand.
As the Shandians, also armed, appeared before Jack, the people from Angel Island arrived at the same time. Both sides eyed each other warily, unsure of what was happening. Jack smirked at them, an air of confidence about him.
"I, the God Slayer, open Upper Yard to everyone," he declared. As he spoke, he struck the Golden Bell, and the island sang its song once again. The sound echoed through the land, signaling the end of a centuries-long conflict.
Both sides hesitated, unsure of what was happening. Their confusion was only alleviated when Gan Fall arrived and explained that Jack had defeated them and opened the Upper Yard for everyone. Jack then revealed that he had found the ancient city and the Golden Bell, treasures that had long been lost to history.
As Jack recounted his tale, his family listened with a mix of awe and admiration. His calm demeanor and confidence gave them the reassurance they needed to face the uncertain future. Even the stoic Jack couldn't help but feel a sense of pride at his accomplishment, though he hid it well behind his usual calm expression.
The Shandians and the people from Angel Island listened in rapt attention as Jack's words painted a vivid picture of their shared history. They could see the ancient city in all its glory, the Golden Bell ringing out its song, and the battles that had raged for centuries. As they listened, they began to understand the importance of the Upper Yard and the sacrifices that had been made to protect it.
As the story came to an end, a hush fell over the gathered crowd. They looked at each other, their eyes filled with a mixture of hope and determination. The time had come for them to put aside their differences and work together to create a new future for the Upper Yard.
The Shandians, their faces filled with gratitude and disbelief, approached Jack and his family. They offered their heartfelt thanks, knowing that they could never repay him for all he had done. Jack nodded, accepting their thanks with his usual calm grace.
