Heartbroken

"Am soooo tired..." Lizzy threw her bag on Kenji's head and he laughed.

"Guys, i think am gonna go chill in the pool. Wanna come Ken??" Ramona asked her brother.

"Me?? I'll stay here." He relaxed on the sofa and Lizzy sat near him.

"Isara???"

"Are you speaking Filipino right now??" Lizzy asked laughing.

"LMFAO, where did you learn that?" Kenji asked.

"Haven't i been in the Philippines to dance to a song?" Ramona frowned and sat between them.

"Why are you just standing there? Is it because your friend 'Aaliyah' isn't here for you to sit near??" Ramona asked Valerie, as she snapped out of her thoughts again.

"Um...."

"Hey Ramona, that is what i don't wanna hear. Don't yell at Valerie just because Aaliyah isn't here. Then fine, am her friend too. So what?" Lizzy pulled Valerie as she sat.

"Okay girls, so what came about Aaliyah's haircut??" Kenji asked curiously.

"I don't - "

"Your sister cut it off." Lizzy and Valerie said in unison.

"You did what? Weird." He saw Ramona looking raging mad.

"am sorry for asking. Was only curious."

"Same curiosity made me ask....Aren't you Japanese? Then why do you understand English so much?" Lizzy asked.

"Mom is Japanese, am sure Ramona must have told you. I don't know much of Japanese. But when i tasted Sushi and Miso soup once, i went wild! I puked the first time, but the second and third, it was delicious!" He explained.

"Awwww. Anyway, am off for nap. After those music videos and audios, i should be able to close an eye." Lizzy got up taking her pillow along with her upstairs. Ramona went to the pool, Valerie and Kenji were left together in the living room.

Kenji looked at Valerie, and she looked at her phone, avoiding eye contact. It buzzed and she smiled.

"Hey sis"

She smiled and Kenji caught her.

"Wow, your smile just lightened up the whole room." Kenji said and her heart skipped a beat.

"Are...are you talking to me?" Valerie asked.

"Nope, i was talking to my Sushi. Of course you, Valerie." Valerie smiled again, and Kenji smiled too.

"And its really contagious."

"Haha, its not an illness."

"SHE DOESN'T GET JOKES! That's why she's so boring." Ramona came all dried up in a towel. Kenji shrugged and saw Valerie texting someone. It was Tristan.

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TEXTING AND SMILING?" Ramona snatched Valerie's phone and gasped.

"Woah, Aaliyah's crush??"

"I thought he was your crush too."

"Girl, snap out of that. Since his daddy feeds him cereal, and his mommy buys him sugar, then i don't love such boys. Even Aaliyah is a fool for still loving him. He has a bratty brother, and a father who insults him and force him to scrub the floor! Then he cries so bad, he dies!"

"Woah, woah, woah, Ramona will you stop insulting someone like you are plucking some roses? Please be nicer."

"Duh! Ken, you don't know this guy at all. He's a cheap media personality..."

"SHUT UP!" Kenji yelled and Ramona's heart broke.

"Stop insulting others just because you are greater than them or something. All these people you look down upon are better than you, but you will never get that. How much are you making these days? PATHETIC!" He stormed out of the house and Ramona broke down, crying.

Aaliyah got home and knocked. The guards gasped on seeing her.

"MISS AALIYAH! YOU CUT YOUR HAIR!!" They yelled.

"Yup, doesn't it look nice?"

"You are even more gorgeous than before!" The guard screamed.

"Thanks." Aaliyah smiled and knocked. Her mom opened the door and gasped.

"WHAT? AALIYAH YOU CUT YOUR HAIR?? SO WHAT INSTAGRAM IS SAYING IS TRUE? I ALSO SAW IT IN THE MUSIC VIDEO!!" Her mom pulled her in and shut the door.

"Aaliyah!!" Paige and Ivy screamed and ran to hug their sister.

"I watched your music video. It was fascinating.."

"So...Miss Luna uploaded our music video without my permission??" Aaliyah sat and folded her arms.

"Aaliyah...We actually have a pleasant surprise for you.." Ivy said.

"Ohhh, what is it..."

"Two pleasant surprises actually!" Ivy and Paige moved out of the way and Aaliyah saw her sisters, Anneliese and Alyssa.

"GIRLS!!!!!" She ran towards them and gave them a choking hug.

"I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" Aaliyah yelled as they pulled her away.

"I missed you too.." Anneliese smiled.

"Okay girls, stop cry-laughing and why don't you sit and watch some shows?" Their mom told them. They sat and Aaliyah was so happy.

"I'm mad at you." Alyssa said.

"Why?"

"You cut your hair. It doesn't look very nice. Or are you trying to look like Alyssa with chin length" Anneliese frowned.

"Just watch the music video and be quiet guys..." Their mom connected the YouTube video to the television.

"Wow....just take a look at Valerie's dress...it looks cheap." Paige muttered.
