Xu Kai watched as Xing cried, her tears streaming down her face. He felt a pang of guilt in his chest as he realized that it was his fault for pushing her to clean the old house. He knew that he had been too harsh on her and that he needed to apologize.
"Xing, I'm so sorry," he said, reaching out to touch her shoulder. "I didn't mean to hurt you. I just wanted to know why you just distanced yourself from me"
Xing sniffed and looked up at him, her eyes red and puffy. "I almost died in there , Kai".
Xu Kai felt a lump form in his throat as he realized how much he had hurt her. He pulled her into a hug, and she buried her face in his chest, still crying.
"I'm sorry," he whispered. "I'll try to be more understanding from now on. I just want you to be happy."
Xing pulled away from him, wiping the tears from her face. "Well who gives such punishment for one to be happy?" she Said.
