55. Cheapskates

The shop assistant came over and questioned what had happened. She obviously asked this from Wan Wan's company as they were dressed better.

Someone who was extremely rich, did not like dressing in branded clothes all the time. They only liked comfortable and discreet stuff.

But people who were barely rich thought branded items were the epitome of a rich man's symbol. The misconception carried by the world was similar to how the shop assistant thought.

If one was wearing branded clothing, they were extremely rich?

Lan Xie did not like how the shop assistant seemed to favor Wan Wan's company. RuQian on the other hand expected nothing less from a store like this.

"You three are causing trouble. Leave if you are not going to buy anything." The shop assistant was angered that potential customers had been hurt and angrily said to Lan Xie.

Lan Xie was barely hanging onto her anger, she calmly stared at the shop assistant, "Is this how you treat a customer?"

The shop assistant was scared not by the words but by the angry stare directed at her.

"Hah! You? A customer? That's a nice joke." Wan Wan interrupted.

Lu Xu Mei knew very well how rich Lan Xie's family was but she did not stop Wan Wan. "Wan Wan, don't be so mean. They can shop if they want."

On the outside her words were nice but anyone with a brain could see she was looking down on them indirectly.

"Humph.. we will be needing dresses to go to the party Old Master Zhang is organizing, so you can clear these cheapskates out of here." Wan Wan said to the shop assistant.

Lan Xie snickered at Wan Wan's words. They were trying to push out the guest of honor of the party they have been invited to.

Lu Xu Mei glanced towards RuQian, knowing she was the granddaughter for whom the party was being thrown.

Her father had been so angry that the old hag had not even invited him to the party everyone was talking about.

Su Ting did not have any intentions to attend as he wanted to turn down the invitation when the old man sent him one and humiliate him but that old bastard did not even send him an invite.

Su Ting was actually pretty happy when he found out RuQian had moved out of his house; he did not even like to look at her face.

But not being invited to a party everyone he knew was invited to was utterly humiliating. Of course if he actually attended the party he could make a lot of connections but Su Ting was a very stubborn man.

He hated being referred to as RuQian's father, so he did not want to go. So he had made up a plan to make sure RuQian looked like the spoilt child while Lu Xu Mei, the suffering step sister.

They were sure RuQian did not know Lu Xu Mei's identity as Su Ting's daughter. But as Su Ting had not received an invitation they were worried how Lu Xu Mei would attend.

Thankfully Chang Min had received an invitation with a plus one so Lu Xu Mei would enter with Chang Min.

The shop assistant had also heard of the grand party where celebrities, businessmen and other rich socialites would attend.

Knowing Wan Wan and her friends would be attending this party she immediately tried to get rid of RuQian and her friends.

RuQian raised her eyebrows at what Wan Wan had said. She was pretty sure she had not seen Wan Wan's name on the list, so how was she invited.

RuQian turned towards Lan Xie to see a smirk on her friend's face. Looked like her friend was going to play with this mouse at the party.

RuQian smiled internally to herself. She had given extra invites to her close friends whom she trusted so they were allowed to give out the invites to whomever they wanted.

"You don't even look like you can afford to buy the clothes from here. Leave before I call security." The shop assistant said to Lan Xie.

Lan Xie was about to retort when RuQian tugged her arm. "Let's leave Lan Xie. This store is not up to our range." RuQian pulled Lan Xie out of the shop without another word.

Lan Xie smirked when she heard her friend's words. RuQian had now said this shop's clothes were not up to their status, so if Wan Wan bought anything from this shop it would only look like she was a cheap girl.

As expected when she turned around, she saw Wan Wan fuming and awkwardly standing, not knowing whether to stay or leave.

Unknown to the girls, a bodyguard had always been following RuQian for the past few days and had a pinhole camera attached to his clothes.

So Mu Chen who was seated outside in his car had seen everything that had transpired in the mall.

He placed a call to someone while he told Mai Sichong to deal with what was happening inside.

After the crowd had dispersed from the store, the mall management went into the shop.

The main manager looked around the shop, "You!" He pointed to the shop assistant who had insulted RuQian and her friends. "You are fired."

"What? Sir what do you mean?"

"Get out! You should know who you have offended."

They left after that. The shop assistant started crying and wailing while being dragged out by the security. Wan Wan and Lu Xu Mei and their other friend stared dumbfounded at what just took place. They did not know what to derive.

Lu Xu Mei did not think RuQian was capable of something like this, so she just thought the store assistant had maybe offended someone else.

After RuQian and her friends left the mall, Lan Xie let out her frustration all at once. "Who the hell do those bitches think they are?

Ahhh... I wanted to hit them in the face. They don't even know who we are and how dare they say that we are poor? She is not even good enough to work as my servant and she dared to call me a tramp. That snake!"

"Sigh. It's okay Lan Xie, you can take your revenge later on. Now, why don't you calm down. We still haven't found any clothes." RuQian tried to calm Lan Xie down.

"Oh.. right we still haven't found anything." Lan Xie realized. "Let's find some other.." Lan Xie's phone started ringing so she picked up immediately.

"Oh, hello auntie, how are you?"

"Oh that is so nice. How is everybody else?"

"Okay we have a place to shop. That was my aunt just now. Seems like my cousin helped us out this time."
