39. Paradise

Bai Xing then remembered that patriarch Zhang, had indeed announced that a party would be held for his granddaughter on her birthday, in maybe three months and that was a month and a half earlier. This party had been the talk of the city. Everyone wanted to attend this party but only those with an invite would be allowed and not just anyone would be invited. Even media personnel were not allowed, only the top, experienced and famous media members were allowed to be present to cover the party, and most importantly the identity of the hidden princess.

After discussing the terms of the contract, Bai Xing signed it without hesitation. Since RuQian wanted them to move as early as possible, she called a moving company then itself, helped Xiao Ruan pack some toys and the three left with a few necessities.

The moving company and the workers would take care of the rest. After leaving the house, RuQian suggested having food as neither of them had had any lunch. They entered a restaurant half an hour later.

They ordered their lunch, RuQian was watching her diet, so she just ordered some salad, mashed potatoes, a small sandwich and some diet coke. Bai Xing and Xiao Ruan, on the other hand had a hearty meal with some fries, sumo burger, a large pizza, a quesadilla and drinks.

RuQian couldn't help herself and ordered some desserts for all three of them. She could go without food but not without desserts. They ordered a few macaroons as Xiao Ruan wanted colourful sweets and a small cake for the three of them.

Xiao Ruan wanted to give some to her momma so RuQian asked the waiter to pack another cake and a few more macaroons. They left after RuQian paid the bill and Xiao Ruan carried the desserts in her small hands. They had offered to help carry it for her but she had denied them saying she could do anything, she was a princess!

RuQian instructed her driver to head towards golden luxury condominium. Xiao Ruan fell asleep on the way to their new home. RuQian had made sure the apartment contained all the new furniture, so the family would only have to move the items they needed and the rest could be donated.

Bai Xing listened to RuQian's suggestion and said that he would discuss this with his wife. Since his wife had been busy at work he did not want to disturb her. He had yet to tell her about the move but he figured she would be fine with it, seeing as she always wanted to move from their old house, they had no money though.

He had already texted her the address of their new house, informing her to come to that address. He wanted to surprise her. During their seven years of marriage his wife had never complained about the lifestyle or the lack of money they had. She had supported him all the way through.

Now he wanted to make sure she lived a comfortable life from that day forward. He could not thank RuQian enough but he knew that was not what she wanted. He would work hard and stay loyal to her for the rest of his life!

After they reached the apartment building, Bai Xing woke Xiao Ruan up, they entered the building following RuQian looking very nervous as he thought they looked out of the place. As the name suggested the lobby pillars were covered in golden frames, the walls contained small mirrors which reflected the golden color all around, the ceiling was covered with golden panels, the marble floors smooth and tidy.

RuQian was way too familiar with this building. This was the same building in which she had lived in, in her previous life. Her grandfather had gifted her the penthouse when she wanted to move out of the Su Mansion after she entered college.

In this life, she had yet to receive the gift but she had already bought it for herself. She did spend most of her life in that penthouse even if most of it was filled with sadness, she still wanted to stay in the same apartment in this life. But this time she wanted to fill that cold apartment with warmth, love and most importantly happiness.

RuQian had the key cards required to enter the building which she gave to Bai Xing. Since there were only two adults in the house only two cards were given, they could request for more if necessary but it was a long process.

These key cards would give them access to the building, the lift would have a separate card. Each floor in the fifty one storeyed building would have different key cards. So a person from one floor could not just enter another person's floor. If a visitor was to arrive, they would be escorted by a staff who had keys to each floor and the rules were so strict that even the staff member could only carry a single floor's key card at one time.

All these rules were set up to make sure each and every individual home in the building was safely protected. The building consisted of six penthouses spanning the whole of that particular floor, so the most safest people in this building were those who lived in the penthouses as the entire floor was occupied by them and she was one of them.

RuQian showed Bai Xing how to enter the building, then introduced him to the lobbyist present at that moment. Each staff member was trained to be polite and were also trained in basic self defense skills. No one judged others by one's appearance as they knew most of rich people were too quirky for them to even understand. This was what RuQian loved most about Mu Conglomerate, the way they managed their businesses.

In her past life, she was safe from the paparazzi because the building's security was good enough or else she would've been stalked very badly. The paparazzi still tried to get in but it was truly an impossible feat. This too was one of the reasons why she did not hesitate in buying the penthouse.

RuQian helped with the lift and while the lift arrived at the designated floor, she explained all the rules and security measures of the building to Bai Xing. He was truly amazed by the hi-tech security measures that were in place. He had heard Golden Luxury Condominiums had great security but he did not expect it to be this good.

Of course this wasn't the best in the country but it was still pretty amazing that his family would get to live in this kind of a building.

Their apartment was on the twentieth floor, it did not take long for them to arrive. The building had a kid's playing area both indoors and outdoors, same for adults for sports, swimming pool, gym, a small medical room for emergencies, of course a hospital visit was necessary but this was for any emergencies that needed to be treated immediately.

There were four apartments on each floor until the thirtieth floor, the thirty first to fortieth floors had three apartments on each of them, the forty first to forty fifth floors had two apartments on each one, the rest of the floor's above were single housed.

Each of the apartments from forty sixth to fifty first were all considered penthouses as they occupied the whole floor and each one was better than the other. The higher the penthouse, the better it was designed. RuQian owned the penthouse on the fiftieth floor, only a level below the best one.

She had found out in her previous life that the owner of Mu Conglomerate owned all the topmost floors apartments in all their buildings. It was said, this was to ensure he had a place of his own in every part of the city. She had never seen the lift approach that floor other than the cleaning staff.

This was also another beauty of the building, the lifts were made of bulletproof glass. It also helped that the walls of the building on the inside were lined with mirrors making the whole place look beautiful. RuQian knew this was the most beautiful place she would ever stay in.

Little did she know, this was just a slight preview to the paradise she would reside in for the rest of her life!
