Chapter 3

I scanned the Library I was sitting in, my gaze trailing over the beautiful ceiling and the sculpture of the Library. How did it never attracted me, How come I never noticed the beautifulness of this library. The smell of old books was blessing my nose and the books maintained properly in the sack looked so perfect. My eyes got fixed on the book which said "Pride and Prejudice" I've heard of it by my best friend who loved to read novels just like me, so decided to read it.

As I placed my hand on it someone else laid his hand on mine I figured it, It was Hardin, This Bastard again, I don't know why my life has become so troublesome ever since he entered it, like I'm always having mood swings just because of him, But I gulped my anger because I was happy today and don't wanted to ruin my day so, I decided to ask him to remove his hand peacefully, yeah He'll do it ofcourse I didn't said anything to him anyways.

"Hey! Hardin, it seems like you like the same book as mine haha...So, can you please remove your hand from mine so that I can take it."

he ignored me and started pulling the book.

I pulled it towards myself with all of my force.

"I'm talking to you can't you be nice to me just for once in your life?" I narrowed my eyes and almost shouted.

"Shhhh! its a library." a senior that was reading book on the chair gestured us to keep quiet.

"You want me to be nice to you?" he smirked and came a foot towards me.

"Ofcourse I do, who likes to get bullied by someone?" I looked down and refrained myself from looking up at his eyes I don't know why, I'm dumb and thought He's just scaryyyy.

"Well, I wasn't intended but as you've mentioned it now-" He kept on coming forwards until my back collapsed to the shelf and our faces were just a few centimeters away.

he leaned down a bit, I still didn't looked up and closed my eyes, But I could easily feel his breathe on my cheeks.

"I'll be your bully, from now on." He hushed and took the book from my hand without me even noticing it. I noticed it when he turned back and was about to make his way, I suddenly saw a book "House of leaves" in the shelf beside me, I hurriedly grabbed his hand and pulled him back.

"Here! You can read it." I said, Even tho I was panting as if I've ran miles away But I tried to keep it lowkey.

he looked at me confusingly and said,

"I've never read any horror book before."

"Then try something new, I loved this one, and I'm sure you'll love it too. when I'll complete the book you're having you can read it." I looked at him in the hope that he'll accept my proposal.

"This book better not make me regret my decision." He took the book from me and left.

What just happened?

I asked myself and put a hand on my chest, Oh my gosh! it's beating so fast!

I sat on the chair in the library and he was at the corner. I don't know why I wasn't even concentrated on what I was reading, My mind was having the thing that had just happened going like a video tape and my eyes kept on looking at him.

I look at him few times and this time our eyes met, I lowered my face as soon as I realized. I felt uncomfortable and stood up not to meet his eyes again but here my organs goes again, never listening to me, and it's the second time our eyes met. I hurried towards the exit and Sighed.

"Gosh!! its still beating as much fast, I'll have a heart attack for sure."
