Collective Honeymoon

The sun was still rising to have a better view of the Earth, as to spread its full focus on every surface equally. The suburban side of the city was clearly bathed in golden rays of that yellow dazzling colossal star.

It was the time right after the breakfast. The birds were chirping happily as they competed with the suburban residents, while they hurried to begin the day at their supposed occupations.

Ignys Villa was not any better. Therefore merrier, messier and noisy. Nicole Lajerrica Vlahos and Andrew Lyric Vlahos proudly owned this abode. Even though the Villa was a tad bit huge for four of them, they were not complaining. At the time two redheads were watering the lilies in the garden compound. Ignys Villa was like a beautiful white toy put in the center of large green carpet from the plan view. There was a shade in the rear left of the entrance of the villa, which wrapped the compound of the Ignys Villa with a fence of square shrubs. Many colourful flowers and leaves were dancing on the potted and beautifully decorated plants. Two redheads were watering the plants. The two had the surprising cooperation ability. Like twins.

Harper Charmeine Vlahos and Raphael Nathaniel Vlahos were the supposed twins. Both teens looked exactly like their parents' hybrid copies. Both were redheads. Which was the trait they got from their father. Vlahos' always had the dark scarlet hair and this physical trait passed down to the descendants for ages.

Raphael had his father's dark scarlet hair, but Harper got some of her mother's golden strands in between those dark scarlet locks. The boy's facial features matched his father's, but had the eyes of his mother's, green like emeralds. The girl was some different story, as she got her mother's soft looks, but got her father's light olive skin tone and electric blue eyes with some green and golden flecks. In short, one cannot tell if they were twins on the first sight.

"Why does it seem like I'm forgetting something?" The girl murmured with a tilt of head as she sprayed the emerald leaves shining in the diluted sunlight from shade with water.

"We have packed everything. All the clothing, toiletries, gifts for Grandma and Grandpa, gifts for Mr Davis and his family, your Mac and accessories etcetera etcetera." Raphael listed the whole lot of things they had prepared from a week ago as the school announced the summer holidays.

"Charming." A sweet voice called out from the distance. The two faced the direction from the call came out and saw a slender figure in white sundress running to them from the other side of shrubs.

That figure was Svetlana Armaita Dunkeld. The youngest of the three of River Prudence Dunkeld and Trent Rainer Dunkeld. Being neighbors for almost eighteen years Dunkelds had a very familial relationship with Vlahos'. Svetlana was Harper's best friend and always a partner in crime with the twins. She loved to call her these two best friends with their middle names as according to her their middle names were really 'aesthetic' unlike her. Harper's middle name being Charmeine was really a tough work to speak for the five years old Svetlana, so she clumsily called her Charming, which became the nickname only she could call Harper with. The loved ones called her Lana as according to Harper her middle name was very middle aged. The girl was always soft-spoken and sweet, but can be aggressive when needed. Her heart shaped face and hazel eyes would always drew everyone in, as she would analyze everyone with those keen, steady, glimmering hazel orbs. Her long light brown shiny hair flew down to her waist, as its soft waves framed her delicate facial features.

"Careful Lana. Lawn is not trimmed by the gate." Raphael shouted as he saw her coming through the gate beside the shade. It was to facilitate the three of them to meet at any time without disturbing the front door.

"Carter and Anna are on the way with Aunt Nara and Aunt Dove. Uncle Jones and Uncle Paxton are going to Green Street Club to retrieve their freaking Golf kits." Lana announced while huffing and puffing after rushing here.

"What? What are they gonna do with their Golf kit in the Greece? Seriously?" Harper exclaimed.

"Well, some middle aged things we can't understand." Raph commented while wrapping up the watering.

"But their flight is up the notch in three hours. And they have time to worry about a mere golf kit?" Harper's nerves on the forehead swelled. These middle aged folks were seriously too much. Firstly they are sending their teenage kids to their Grandparents' town. And they themselves are going on a trip to Greece as their collective honeymoon for the excuse being they are considerably tortured by their middle aged crisis.

An SUV drove through the front gate of the villa to the parking area. A sulking blonde came out from the front passenger seat. Simultaneously an elegant woman with strawberry blond hair came out with a hint of humor on her face. Both had the same button nose and the shining blond hair which created a halo in the morning sunlight. A pale hand took the support of the door and the lady dressed in black came out. Which made the striking contrast with the former duo. Along came a girl with black short hair who was as pale as her mother. The two teenagers had arrived with their mothers to the Ignys Villa.

Carter and Annaelle were familiar with the other three from kindergarten. Carter Serephiel Vallejo, the second born of the two of Nara Constance Vallejo and Jones Lorien Vallejo, became best friends with Harper through the Interschool Math Olympiad Competition in class 7. In the class 9, they instantly clicked with each other through the Stag Oblivion Forum, where the hackers, Science and Math geniuses gathered and blew colourful farts. Carter was a typical geek boy with the intelligent senses, but his handsome features would always made that information neglected by everyone. Take an example for today. The kind little Sir ask his Mother Empress that he wanted to drive the car as he was a year away from eighteen and ready to enroll in a University and eligible to learn to drive the car. And his Mother Empress dismissed his great idea with a hint of disdain that in the absence of his father she was the only one eligible to drive his baby car. Well, we could see from whom the love to cars the little Sir inherited.

The noirette was called Annaelle Barbelo Pouskin aka Anna. The beloved only daughter other than the two sons of Dove Celestia Pouskin and Paxton Cedric Pouskin. Her tomboyish nature and energetic approach could intimidate anyone. She was actively aggressive and believed in instant gratification, unlike Harper, who was talkative and passive aggressive, which was a very dangerous combination. Her icy blue eyes were very cold that could stiffen anyone with a hard look. Her inky jet black hair reached to her shoulders and would tickle the shoulder blades. Her pale skin would draw a beautiful contrast with those short pinstripe straight dark locks.

The Ignys Villa was full of rowdiness this morning. Cater and Anna finally arrived with their mother. Vallejos and Pouskins also lived in the same community. Nara and Dove went in the villa while Carter ran to the garden pulling Anna with him as he discovered his three best friends in the backyard.

"Hey. Have you packed the baby? My baby will feel lonely without me here." The blonde blew without any coyness. The other four rolled their eyes collectively.

"Yes. Your baby is packed along with its accessories." Harper gave affirmative as she, Anna and Lana hugged each other and went to share some new school gossip.

"Let's go in. We need to gather our luggage in the front yard so we set off once Dad arrives." Raph suggested seeing the girls about to lay their court in the backyard.

The teenagers walked into the villa and saw that their mothers were gathered in the kitchen packing some necessary sauces and condiments along with snacks for their trip.

"Trent can't do without hot sauce at all. I packed an extra bottle for him." Mrs Dunkeld gushed.

"Yeah. Jonas needs to have my signature condiments for all his meals. So I made the seasoning for all of us. We have to taste the home too." Mrs Vallejo added.

"Paxton and I are going to tour around for local specialties. He looks too excited for the local foods and products. But I guess he will be tired after two days of enjoying and demand for home cooked food." Mrs Pouskin softly twitted in as she mocked her husband behind his back.

"Oh." A rough baritone voice called out.

"Oh?" Along came a teasing exclaim.

"Hm…" the last one was a cold noise of agreement.

The ladies turned to look at their husbands who had come to the kitchen looking for their wives at unknown time. The three ladies who were caught talking behind the back of their husbands' backs flushed in embarrassment.

The teenagers who came after them exchanged glances in between them. They were really used to this dog food being fed to them on daily basis.

"Well, Andrew and I are gonna attend the conference for the first three days. Then we can laze around with ease." Seeing the unnatural atmosphere and their children Mrs Vlahos piped in.

"You are the decision maker, dear. I shall drop the kids to the town. I have talked to Mr Davis. He shall arrange the pick-up." Andrew Vlahos came into the kitchen and taking his wife into his arms so as not to be left behind.

Nicole aka Mrs Vlahos blushed as she avoided his paws and turned around to hold the bag filled with snacks and sweets.

"Come on kids. These are some snacks that four of us made. You can take it back to the town. And yes, Aunt River's Hot sauce and Aunt Nara's signature seasoning are also packed in this. So enjoy and share them with your Grandpa and Grandma. And have some sympathy on us and do not do anything outrageous like last summer vacation trip." Nicole handed Raph a huge bag filled with snacks.

"Well, you too. Remember that you are now getting old. Get hold of yourselves and do not get carried away." Harper taunted the parent folks.

"What did you say you brat?" Andrew went to hold his dear brat who was sulky the whole week after hearing about their trip. Others were used to these duo's chase. The gentlemen went to their wives to help them pack the snacks.

Harper ran to the other side of crowd so as not to be caught by her dad. "Well, have a safe trip. And use protection. We two are enough to handle you at your old age." The crowd laughed out at the girl's sassiness.
