"Let's go."
After paying and asking the attendant to help pack the clothes she had changed, Asumi urged Ren.
"Yes."
In response, Ren followed her out of the store, also holding the white shirt he had just changed in his hand.
"How are you? Exciting, isn't it?"
Asumi turned to him and asked while adjusting the bag in her hand.
"What's exciting?" Ren didn't quite understand what she was talking about.
"It's about us wearing matching costumes? I want to know how you feel."
Asumi pointed to the clothes they were both wearing.
"I don't feel anything, it's the same as usual."
These weren't special clothes, so there was nothing odd about it.
"I thought you would be very happy." Asumi teased, "I fulfilled your wish to wear matching outfits with me."
Ren firmly denied: "That's not my wish."
"Then what is your wish?" Asumi asked curiously, "If it's not difficult to achieve, maybe I can help you accomplish it."
"No." Ren shook his head.
He couldn't possibly reveal his wish to become like an ordinary person.
"Really? I don't believe it~"
From the words he had just rejected, it could be inferred that he definitely had a wish he wanted to fulfill.
"Even if your wish is to have a girlfriend, I am capable of helping you achieve it." Asumi casually gave an example, "I know many pretty girls, if you want to find a girlfriend, I can introduce you to them."
She worked as a maid in the store, and the girls she knew were quite pretty, but they could hardly match Ren.
Although she didn't think Ren needed her help in finding a girlfriend.
As long as Ren took off his glasses, even though he didn't know anything, he could still easily find a girlfriend.
Not to mention he was not only handsome but also rich and had good academic achievements.
He was the type who didn't need to be worried about by anyone.
"I don't have any idea of having a girlfriend for now." After spending some time arranging the conversation, Ren rejected her proposal, "If I want to find a girlfriend in the future, I will ask you to help me."
His current goal was to try to be an ordinary person, and things like having a girlfriend should be put aside for later.
"Your answer is nothing like what a high school student would say." Asumi complained.
"Is there a question?" Ren asked attentively.
"No, I'm just a little curious about your wish, Kouhai-kun." Asumi said directly, "Your grades are obviously very good, but you don't show off. You only got 100th place in the exam, but you're willing to help me, Itsuki, and others with tutoring."
"You're very handsome, but you always wear glasses when you're outside. You only take them off when you're at home."
"You help us without asking for anything in return."
"You said you don't have any wishes. It's hard to believe."
"With such contradictory life, I don't believe you have no pursuit at all."
Asumi stared at his cheeks, trying to see the hidden truth.
"Sorry, I accidentally said a lot of things, just ignore it."
Drawing back her gaze, Asumi reached out and took his left hand initiative.
Feeling the warmth from her palm, she continued: "Let's go, let's shop somewhere else."
"My wish is to live a normal and ordinary life, nothing more."
After a long silence, Ren replied softly.
"If my grades are too high, I'll have a lot of trouble."
"If I look handsome, I'll attract attention."
"Helping you is just something I want to do. I don't need any rewards."
As a person with superpowers, there was nothing Ren couldn't do as long as he was willing.
Everything was as simple as going to heaven to deliver a message to Gabriel.
What if he didn't use his superpowers?
Then he would be truly worse off than an ordinary person.
Because his common sense was very limited, he often relied on his superpowers to survive.
What was the reason for him to become like this?
There was only one promise, and that was superpower.
It was the most special place.
Special people would receive special treatment, that's what he summarized as common sense over the past ten years.
And he didn't want special treatment at all, so why should he attract attention?
Just maintain the status quo and live a normal life.
"Thank you, I am very satisfied with my life right now, and I hope to continue living like this in the future."
Thinking about everything that had happened after he met them, Ren slightly raised the corner of his mouth and spoke to her gently.
"I mean, you..."
Asumi said emotionally.
"What's wrong?" Ren asked hesitantly.
"You're really good at saying misleading things!" Asumi emphasized her tone, "If you remove the word 'we' from the last sentence, I would definitely understand it as you confessing your love to me."
"I just expressed my inner thoughts." Ren replied softly.
"That's why I said it to you." Asumi sighed, "And what you said should be said to everyone, not just to yourself. Kouhai-kun, you shouldn't do this."
"I'm sorry."
Ren didn't think much when imagining his language earlier.
It wasn't easy for him to think of such a long sentence, and for other things, he really couldn't think of it.
"This is not something that requires an apology." Asumi said casually, "But if you feel you're wrong, I can accept your apology."
"Um."
"Don't stand here foolishly all the time. Let's quickly go to the next place."
Asumi squeezed the hand she was holding.
"Where should we go?" Ren asked.
"Let's go shopping and help you fulfill your wishes. A normal life can't happen without sufficient material reserves."
Asumi winked her left eye at him, showing a bright smile, and pulled him towards the supermarket in the mall.
"Didn't I just say that? If your wish is not difficult to fulfill, I can help you fulfill it."
"And your wish is fully within my abilities. Anyway, shopping is a very important part of ordinary life."
