Chapter 1

Today is my first day in Crown Lake College (CLC).I haven't been there before but my mum went there. It's a college every teenager wished to go. I gazed at my mum picture beside my bed.She died when I was in grade 10.

"Wake up Adorna"Dad said tapping my shoulder slightly.

"I'm awake"I said sitting upright.

I had my bath and prepared for college.I packed my hair in a ponytail and didn't apply any make-up cause I'm not a fan of it

Dad had prepared breakfast,so I sat down to eat. Butterflies were in my stomach cause I was wondering how the school will be.

"Can we go now"Dad asked breaking my thoughts. I gulped the remaining of my juice.

"Mmh"I said standing. I dropped the remaining of my breakfast in the bin putting the plate in the sink.

Dad helped me to move my luggage to the car and we zoomed off.

CLU was beautiful just the way my mum described it but I guess it is more modernize than when she was in the school.

"it's beautiful,isn't it"Dad said behind me as he watched me admiring the school

"Yeah"It was really beautiful with lot if flowers and a beautiful fountain. Hundred of parents were hugging,kissing there children.

"I will love to see your room before I go"

"What?"

"Let go"

"Common Dad, it's only girl's hostel"

"But you are my kiddo"

"I know,help me get my luggage out of the truck"I said distracting him so he won't persuade me further.

"Thank you"I said after the last one.

Leaning on the car,I stared at the locket mum gave to me before she should pass away. It was the best gift mum ever gave me,I cherish it with all my heart. It was a picture that contains the younger version of me,mum and dad.

"Keep it safe"

"Yeah"I said putting it round my neck

"This was your mum last wish to me. To make sure you attend Crown Lake College"

"I really miss her"

"Yeah me too, kiddo"

"You have to start going" I saw my Dad eyes growing moist.

I hugged him tight "Bye Dad. Take good care of yourself"

"I will. Take care of yourself also'' He said entering the car. I waved at him and stood until his car disappeared from my sight before proceeding to look for my room.

B32 that was my room. Finally I found it after moving about with my luggage

'Nessa owns this room ' was posted at the room. Ignoring it I knocked.

A girl opened it on the second knock. She is a black American. She had her hair in long braids that went pass her shoulder. Everything about her spelt unruly. Not to be associated with. She gave me a look and smacked the gum she was chewing loudly.

"Yeah,can I be of no help to you?"

I frowned "mmh, Hi"

"Look I'm really busy,even though I have no plan on helping you,so if if you want to say something be quick I haven't got all day"

"Well,I was told this is my room,room 113 to be exact"

"Can you see clearly"

I looked at her where was this conversation heading to.

"Yeah,I can"

"If you can see clearly,you will notice 'Nessa owns this room"

Was this a joke or something"But my room is B32 and it is located here"

"Okay,come in"She said tapping my shoulder and smiling devilishly
