Path to Strength

This is the first book I am posting on this platform, so I ask for patience. My native language is not English, and I am not ashamed to say that I am using the so-called "Best Translator in the World" to help me with this work (DeepL translator). I was really trying to find fanfics that take place in the worlds of Baki, Kengan Ashura or the like, and although I found them, I only came across ones where the character gets supernatural powers that put him above any fighter from these worlds, and that frustrated me. A man needs to see two people fighting using their fists entirely, rather than creating interdimensional portals or something of that sort. So don't expect these kinds of powers here, because here there will just be the old way of solving problems. ---------------------------------------------------- It was a normal day for Yuji, going to school, then to the gym he was attending and finally home. A monotonous, but pleasant routine. There was no cause for pride, much less shame, so for the teenager that was enough. As always, everything was going as it should. That was until the moment when, looking in the mirror, the boy's whole perspective seemed to change. Facing someone who looked like him, but at the same time, was not him, Yuji sees himself in a similar world, but which is certainly not his. Crossover world of animes, including Tokyo Revengers, Baki, Kengan Ashura, Holyland, Hajime no Ippo and others that can easily be included in FF if readers have ideas.

Chapter 14

On his way to the room his friends were in, Yuji ran his hand over the back of his neck, an intense discomfort at the spot where he was hit by Senju. He knew that if it weren't for his resistant body, for sure a permanent sequel would be going to pull his foot. A blow to the back of the head is dangerous, because it can directly affect the brain, even leading the individual to a vegetative state. This is why Yuji was so angry towards Senju, if it was one of his captains, they might be dead.

"But she may have perceived my resistance, and struck me knowing that I would not suffer a fatal blow with it..." He whispered, the boy snapping his neck trying to ease the tension in the place. "No... A blow to the back of the head could be fatal to anyone."

As he was nearing the door to the rest room, the boy suddenly felt dizzy, his body swaying unconsciously as he leaned on the wall to keep from falling.

'The kick affected me more than I thought... Damn, I guess I should have hit her a little harder' He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to stop the vomit that was in his throat.

After a few seconds, the dizziness disappeared, Yuji relaxing and walking into the room.

"I've never seen that style! I thought you were just a boxer!" Akira spoke, a glint in his eye. After seeing Yuji using Jeet Kune Do, the teenager was fascinated, determined to make sure his commander taught him how to fight like that.

"You stopped that girl's blows like they were nothing, it even looked like she was no opponent to you." Shiki commented, the boy helping Osanai to sit up, the blond already awake, just trying to deal with his headache.

Yuji was changing clothes, as his shirt was soiled by the blood from his nose. The pain in the back of his neck was fading at a surprising speed, and Yuji could only shake his head and brag in his mind about how broken his body was.

"That girl was very strong... The style I used is Jeet Kune Do, it's a martial art that uses fast and strong attacks to finish a fight as quickly as possible. I took advantage that she was stunned since I started using the kicks and beat her before she could process what was happening." Yuji explained, finishing changing clothes and sitting down on a bench. "If I had prolonged the fight, my chance of victory would be very low."

"I see..." Akira had a hand on his chin as he seemed to be thinking about something. "That last kick she hit was powerful, are you sure you're okay?"

Akira and Shiki were worried. From the moment they saw Yuji suffering the attack, they knew it was not an injury that could not be ignored.

"My body improves quickly, I feel much better since we've rested." Yuji explained. He knew the two were worried, but the damage wasn't enough to affect his brain, so they wouldn't have to worry. "But Akira and Osanai need treatment, so Shiki, take them to the hospital and keep an eye on them."

Shiki was confused for a moment, his eyebrow raising as he asked.

"Keep an eye on them? You're not coming with us?" He asked.

"I have to pick up our prize, so I'm staying. I'll enjoy it and talk to their leader." Yuji stood up and prepared to leave the room.

The two captains remained silent. The idea of leaving Yuji alone, no matter how strong he was, was not pleasant. Being in the place where the B1 members were out in force, it didn't seem smart to leave someone from a rival gang in the place alone. They were about to protest the teenager's words, but Yuji was quick to interrupt them. Yuji knew that his captains were smart, and this would definitely go through their minds.

"I know what you're thinking, but Akira and Osanai are in no condition to fight. And Shiki, it may not be encouraging to hear this, but you can't handle someone like them, your skills aren't at this level yet. But in any case, I'm sure they wouldn't attack me. Akira left one of the strongest out of combat, and apart from the Senju girl, none of them are a problem for me." Yuji pointed to himself, a confident smile on his lips.

Shiki and Akira felt apprehensive, but they knew that Yuji's words were about the truth. Even if they worked together, their strength was not enough to stand up to a group of local delinquents. Knowing the strength of their commander, the two knew that Yuji had faced groups before, and that if they were both together, it would only serve to make him lose focus during the fight.

Being aware of this, the two could not refute his words.

"Just be careful."

"If necessary, call us, and we'll bring our entire divisions."

The two said, and Yuji cracked a small smile at this. These three, in a short period of time, had learned to care about each other, and that made him very happy. The relationship between them was not just that of boss and subordinates, but of friends.

"Don't worry, if I have any problems, I will call."

Sitting on a couch across from a table, a Senju with bandages on her face had her eyes fixed on a figure in front of her, also sitting on the couch, but concentrating on sipping what looked like a cup of tea.

"Uh, that tea is really delicious." This figure was none other than Yuji, who drank all the liquid from the cup, placing it on the table and turning his gaze to Senju.

The two stared at each other for a few seconds, Yuji seeming clearly uninterested in the girl's stares. Sure, she was pretty, but staring at him could only make him uncomfortable.

"Well?" Yuji asked.

Senju, who after several seconds, finally moved. Snapping his fingers, what looked like a common delinquent arrived holding a suitcase, placing it in front of Yuji and opening it, showing several Yen banknotes piled up. The boy didn't bother to count and simply closed the suitcase, his eyes turning to the girl with interest.

"So, princess... Looks like things didn't go the way you wanted them to, huh?" He spoke.

"How?" Senju's voice took Yuji by surprise. "How did you get so strong?"

Senju, after several minutes, had finally said something, and it was something Yuji had not expected. For a moment, he was afraid that he had broken the girl's confidence due to his quick victory, but looking into her eyes, that did not seem to be the case. The gleam in her eyes indicated only that she was still determined. In fights in the past, Yuji had ended up winning so easily that he broke the fighting spirit of his opponents, discouraging them to continue strengthening themselves. He didn't really want to do that, but even if he restrained himself, his opponents would still notice, so it was something he couldn't stop. If his opponent didn't have a strong resolve, this would be inevitable.

"How?" Yuji began to think seriously about that question. If it depended on his skills alone, just with his boxing orJeet Kune Do, the boy would already be someone strong, but with his body, which got stronger every time he put in effort, even in a short period of time, it made him a power in that world. He couldn't just say that after taking the body of his otherworldly version, he now had a body that could be compared to a Sayajin. "I've never been one to leave the house, and I had a lot of free time, so I started practicing martial arts, and I ended up discovering that I have a bit of a talent for it."

He scratched the back of his neck as he sketched a small smile. Senju, listening to the boy's explanation, felt as if a punch hit her in the esophagus. How could someone become so strong in such a short time with "a little talent"? If this person was not a genius, ordinary fighters could already give up their careers. That was what was going through Senju's mind, who let out a tired sigh.

"Let's cut to the chase..." Yuji caught the attention of Senju, who raised an eyebrow in a sign of curiosity.

"I want you..."

Silence hovered, Senju's eyes widening as a faint shade of red appeared on his face. His mind, which had previously been on alert with the boy in front of him, stopped for a second to try to understand the meaning of those words. Meanwhile with Yuji, the boy seeing the girl's expression, looked confused for a moment before understanding what was happening.

'Oh, I made a wrong choice of words.'

Just as he was about to explain himself, noticing a leering movement, Yuji quickly put his arm beside his head, narrowly blocking a powerful blow that sent him flying off the couch he was sitting on, his body rolling on the floor as he stood up and regained his balance.

With intense pain at the spot where he was hit, Yuji looked down at his forearm and realized it was red, a sign that it would soon swell.

'Shit, my muscles were relaxed, the damage ended up being greater than it should have been.' Regulating his breathing, Yuji turned his attention to the one who attacked him.

"Bastard, how dare you set your eyes on our princess like this." The person who attacked him, was none other than Keizo Arashi, the one capable of beating Osanai without showing difficulty. "I don't care if you beat the challenge, I will finish you off here and now!"

Arashi advanced towards Yuji like a bull, the teenager breathing calmly as he analyzed his opponent. After having seen his fight with Osanai and having felt his punch on his skin, Yuji already had an idea about his strength, and concluded that the man in front of him was at least physically stronger than him, and since he didn't want to make the situation even worse, he realized that he couldn't rely on his boxing in this fight.

When Arashi reached him, the man immediately sent a punch towards Yuji's face. The boy seeing this, with a smooth motion, moved to the side while deflecting the trajectory of the man's fist using his palm. Arashi was surprised by this, but before he could do anything, a punch hit him hard on the tip of his chin, making him feel as if his whole body was shaking, his legs giving way and bringing him to his knees.

How was this possible? How had Arashi been defeated so easily? The man wondered as he tried to get up, his legs ignoring his commands and leaving him helpless on his knees.

"Stop!" Senju's voice reached them both, Yuji turning and seeing Senju about to advance toward him.

"Wait! You've got me all wrong!" Yuji raised his hands in a sign of surrender as he stepped back. "I made a wrong choice of words! What I meant was that I wanted to partner with you!"

Senju stopped, confusion replacing her features as she eyed Yuji warily.

"What kind of partnership?"

Yuji smiled. "Let me explain."

In the Yggdrasil warehouse, the main base of the gang, Yuji and his captains could be seen sitting on a couch, in a place that seemed to be about a resting place. Some of the gang members were also in the place, but they had their own side conversations. With most of the other members training punches on punching bags or machines, the place looked like a gym frequented only by people who knew each other.

It had been two since the challenge in B1 had occurred. Osanai still had pain in the back of his head, while Akira wore a cast on his arm, and Yuji had only minor bruises on his arms and neck. The two captains felt envious of Yuji, who was able to recover in such a short time.

"So why did you call us, Akira?" Yuji asked. He was doing some light exercises before his captain called him. He had never called them before, so that should mean something.

Shiki and Osanai also seemed curious, their attention on Akira.

"Some time ago, a drug started going around..." Akira began and pulled a transparent package from his pocket, placing it on the table. In the package, there were three pills, and it puzzled Yuji. "They call this drug 'The Truth'... Every drug is addictive, but this one is on another level, besides making people hallucinate, it makes them extremely dependent to a point where further treatment is extremely difficult and time consuming."

"And what the hell does that have to do with us? If people want to use that kind of shit, then fuck them." Osanai spoke with a threatening tone. He could allow Moebius members to use that kind of thing, but on the condition that it was at least 100 meters away from him. He really couldn't stand this kind of thing, because unlike cigarettes, which was what he used, drugs like this drove people completely crazy.

Shiki patted Osanai's shoulder consolingly twice, causing a vein to pop out on the blond's forehead.

"Well, I wouldn't disagree with your opinion, but..." Akira paused for a moment, his eyes turning to Yuji with a serious expression. "I caught two members of my division with this, and upon questioning them, they told me that a group threatened them to take it and distribute it around. Investigating a bit, I found out that this group is beating anyone who refuses to use the drug." Yuji seemed to understand what this meant and frowned. "If we let this continue, it could tarnish our gang's reputation. They might even think that we who are responsible for distributing in this area."

Silence hung between the four of them, and even the surrounding members were silent. Everyone seemed to be waiting anxiously for the decision of their commander, who was holding his hands together as he stared at that package.

"Akira, do you know where the drugs are being supplied from?" Yuji asked with a serious tone.

"With the help of my members, we found out that the drug is coming near Shibuya, more precisely Shimokita." Akira explained.

'In the anime, no mention of this drug was made. I don't think this is due to my interference, and unless Mikey thinks something like this isn't worth his time, everything is indicating what I've been thinking for some time...' Yuji grabbed the package with the drugs and threw them on the ground, quickly stomping on them a few times. 'This world is not just about the world of Tokyo Revengers.'

"Shiki, Osanai, take your divisions and patrol around the city. I don't care who is using it, if this drug is found, destroy it. If you find the group that is responsible for spreading this shit, you already know what to do."

"You got it, he he."

"Yes, Commander."

The two agreed, with different responses.

"Akira, pick some men from your division, let's pay a visit to Shimokita..."

"The home of the delinquent hunter."
