It was one hour until I was due to meet with Arthur. Myles finally let me out of the underground room he had first brought me to. He had brought me to his apartment in Knightvale.
It was a small one-bedroom with recently updated appliances. Overall, it was nice with crisp and clean colors and textures. The furniture was minimalist but the couch was comfortable, even if I was unable to sleep all night.
I didn't know what to expect from tonight, and I was making myself sick worrying about it.
"You're going to leave anxious sweat marks all over my couch," Myles voice broke me from my anxious thumb-twiddling. "River's going to make me buy a new one if you don't take a breath."
I stood and paced around the coffee table. "You really like her?"
"I don't think Morgan will ever let me near her again, but I really do. She's-"
"Like a fairy queen," I cut in. It was the only thing I could think to compare her to.
