A knock sounded on Emory's room door. He sat upright in his bed, expecting to see Mirianne emerge from the other side of the door. Mirianne had gone out to get Emory some fruits and food because Emory hated the hospital's food and would not eat it.
"Come in, why are you kno–" Emory casually said but was taken aback by the people who entered his room.
Wearing a royal blue suit that looked tailored to perfection, and a red tie that was knotted with experience was Jacob Sinclair, the mayor of Noju Island, and following closely behind him was his wife Maria Sinclair who looked as stunning as ever despite her age. She had on a tailored dress and was accessorized with jewelry however it was minimal and simple yet tasteful accessories, overall she exuded a sense of poshness and authority.
