Hank Clegg tensed his grip on her shoulder a little, even though he knew Victoria was joking.
"I came up looking for you," he said suddenly after a moment of silence. "But you were changing, and there were quite a few people around, so I left."
Victoria was taken aback.
So Hank Clegg knew why she was angry.
"And then what?" Victoria asked again.
Looking for her was one thing, but he still went on a blind date.
"Then I waited for you in the living room. But at that time, Mr. Wright's blood brother arrived, along with his wife and daughter. "Ah! That damn Shawn Clegg!" Victoria immediately cried out. "He said he didn't know where you were."
Hearing this, Hank Clegg's eyes darkened a bit.
What on earth was Shawn Clegg playing at?
