The next morning, Nora's heels was sounding on the polished floors of Black Industries as she followed Ethan into the conference room.
A knot formed in her stomach as she saw someone who is kind of an imposing figure at the head of the table.
The person looked up from the document in front of him, his eyes was locking to Nora's. His lips formed into a smile that did not even reach his eyes.
"Well, this must be the assistant I have always heard so much about," Henry Black, Ethan's Uncle said, his tone was very smooth but filled with pride.
Ethan pulled out a chair and told Nora to sit.
"Nora Hayes, She will be working as my assistant for this project, so we will all be working together." He said quickly.
Henry rest his back on his chair, looking at her somehow.
"Project, you say? That is a lot of responsibility for someone so… new go do." He said.
