Sedah had calmed down after a bit. "What is it, swordsman?"
Kagekawa had hesitated in answering, unsure of his fate. Scared to provoke him with his next words.
"I sent Arthur off to find and hunt an S-Class monster."
"An S - class? That might be best for him right now. I did say he was ready, but maybe it was too soon for him. Enough talk now swordsman. Leave."
Kagekawa had now left, making his way north.
-----------------------------------------
"Arthur! Arthur!" The drunk barbarian had said overjoyed. Patting his back.
"Good news! An S-Class quest was posted; weren't you looking for something like that? Haha!"
"An S-Class quest was posted? Really?"
Arthur ran through the crowd of adventurers looking at the S-Class quest. An S - Class is a very rare and special quest, that you'll only ever see being posted every couple of months. The rewards are high. The risk is even higher.
Arthur looked up at the quest board.
-----------------------------------------
A Direwolf has been spotted!
Reward: 5,000 Gold Sigil
Rank: S - Class
Size: Colossal
-----------------------------------------
"It's a direwolf? Aren't they a B-class monster?"
"Look at the size! It's a colossal!"
"Hey, don't direwolves travel in packs? What if there's a bunch of colossal ones?"
"Don't be stupid, colossal monsters are too rare. To be a pack of them? That's too unreal. At worst there'll be a few smaller direwolves travelling with the big one.
"Anyways, no one here is stupid enough to take an S-class quest, especially without a party."
All the adventurers nodded in unison.
"I'll take the quest!"
"Who said that?"
Arthur ripped the request from the quest board.
"I'm taking it and completing this quest!" Arthur said with a big grin on his face.
"Arthur?!? Are you sure that's a good idea? I know you completed an A-class quest just recently, but an A-class to an S-class is just too big of a jump."
"You completed an A-class quest today! Shouldn't you rest a little?" A few adventurers spoke to Arthur, saying what everyone else was thinking.
"Don't worry! I'm going to complete this quest and get stronger." Arthur replied trying to reassure all the adventurers.
Arthur ran to the counter.
"I'd like to do this quest!" Arthur ecstatically exclaimed with a huge smile on his face. He then handed the quest to the guild receptionist.
"An S-Class, huh? Well, try not to die."
Arthur then received a stamp on the paper.
=Quest in progress=
"Receptionist, do you know where the direwolf was last spotted?" Arthur hadn't a clue where to start looking.
"If I remember correctly, it was requested from a large village, west of here. Up in the mountains, I believe? If you start travelling now on foot, it'll be about a week. Ah! Remember, this quest has been posted through multiple different guilds across the country. Be quick, or someone might catch it first!"
"Thanks for the heads up!"
Arthur left quickly, his feet now enchanted by the wind.
"If I go at this pace, I should make it within a day or so."
Another chapter! :D This is quite a short chapter today. Sorry for my posts being slow recently. It will get better soon, I promise!
