Norse and Christian Pantheon

In front of Ainz was an old man and woman who were on death's door, floating in an unconscious state. He had cast a Sleep spell on them, making them unaware of what he was doing.

Friesen was looking from the side while holding the two strongest weapons he created thus far.

In his left hand was the spear Gungnir, which had four runes engraved on it. Each rune increases the spear's power, making it the strongest offensive weapon on Earth.

In his right hand, he had a cape that conceals one's presence and increases one's defense.

The cape as an item with four runes was perhaps the strongest defensive type item.

There was a reason he gave them such powerful items, it was because Ainz was only to create Odin and Freya, tasking them in reproducing the Asier and Vanir Gods.

Whether Asier or Vanir, they were both the same. One was a group of gods dedicated to war and bloodshed, while the other loved nature and lived with it.

Different creeds and ways of life created two types of gods, who were in all honesty, the same.

Odin and Freya both possess the power of a level 80 NPC, which is beyond what the Mercenary Scroll can do.

The Mercenary Scroll allows one to summon an NPC of level 70 and below, however one could bypass this restriction by using data crystals.

Because Yggdrasil was something important to him, Ainz spent more time tuning it than the others. He had to select some locations to play the role of the Seven Realms.

This was not hard since Scandinavia covered seven Nordic countries and he could use the special wall spell to create these realms in them.

Asgard and Helihiem were already set in place, so he picked a northern part of Europe, which was colder than the rest, and summoned some Frost Giants, turning that place into Jötunheim.

These Frost Giants were basically newborns with simple minds, which he tosses to their new homes.

One might be wondering, why not summon Frost Giants from Ainzslnd? The answer is simple, they were his subordinates and he will not sacrifice them. Plus, he wants to keep Earth a secret. This was a treasure trove that had an impact on his future.

He was not sure if his action will change the future, but since he still exists, he supposed the future was still the same. Of course he wondered if this was his Earth and not just one of the many in the multiverse. There was no way for him to verify this.

Midgard is the land that exists outside the special walls.

The barrier between mythological realms does not interfere with mortals. Meaning it was possible for a mortal of the Norse mythological realm to enter Greece and vice versa.

Ainz believes this was enough, Odin can do the rest. Some of the stand alone worlds he created were empty and just needed to be filled.

How he did it, Ainz didn't care, just as long as it's done.

Ainz began to change the old man into Odin while writing a plassble backstory. He had to admit, it seemed he was getting more and more proficient in making origin stories.

Odin is around three meters tall, white hair, one golden eye, and battle armor. On his shoulders, his eagles, Thought and Mind sat, also in an unconscious state.

Odin was a hybrid between a Frost Giant and a Celestial, similar to the Primordial Gods, but slightly smaller and more powerful.

Ainz had to rock his brain on what kind of spells and abilities to give Odin, but eventually settled on leadership and combat.

He would love to give cool abilities like future sight and whatnot but those were something he didn't have.

Freya is a short and slender woman with long red hair, green eyes. She was draped in white robes that made her look like a dainty maiden. But one must not be fooled.

Ainz gave her a lot of spells and some practical skills like etiquette. As to how many spells he gave her, Ainz was not sure how much stronger she was than Odin.

Freya is a hybrid between a Celestial and a human, being a Celestial Human, which Ainz termed Vanir Goddess.

After checking through their templates and making sure there wasn't any conflicting information; he teleported them to Asgard.

———

Odin sat upon his throne with his hands clenching the armrest, turning sweaty in the process.

He had the most horrifying dream, he dreamt that Heimdall blew the Horn of Ragnarök, signaling the final clash between gods and giants.

The children of his blood brother, killed the Asiers' in droves, before falling to death like their father, Loki.

Odin had noticed the mess up order of events for Ragnarok and used it to his advantage. He had ordered the remaining gods to aid in preventing Asgard from falling, which it seems he succeeded in. However, the fact he survived was quite confusing but a happy twist nonetheless.

Approaching one of the windows, he was graced with the familiar sight of his city. A city so beautiful it could only hold the gods themselves.

Sadly as he observed, Odin noticed there was no one walking the streets. The once jovial place became empty and downcast with shadows of the past.

'Why did he survive? What is there to live for? Baldr was supposed to come back and restart everything, but instead I remain.'

On his shoulders, two crows which personified his Thought and Mind, nuzzled into his neck, calming his raging thoughts.

Gripping Gungnir, he signed: how was he supposed to deal with the fact he was the last of the gods? His power was great but his means were limited.

Odin walked back to his throne, debating upon what he should do.

Just as he sat down, his eye gleamed as he flew towards a familiar location, shaking with excitement.

In front of him was his wife, Freya. He wondered how it was possible, but deep inside he didn't care. As long as she remained at his side, there was hope.

———

Freya woke up in a field of trees bearing delicious fruits, feeling at home.

As she stood there, a wave of memories that seemed foreign to her entered her mind, causing her face to dim.

Her children, her family and friends, everyone is dead. But for some reason, she, who didn't participate in the war, survived.

What about Thor? The future All Father, the most powerful god? Even he died.

She wanted to scream impossible but she knew it was true.

Thoughts of killing herself formed but hesitated. As long as she is alive, she could find a way to bring her family back to life but if she died, there was truly no hope.

Getting her resolve, Freya turned around and stood in shock and disbelief. How could this be? Her husband was standing before her, with a rare look of happiness.

———

Looking at Asgard, Ainz smiled. Indeed, it was a good idea to create them.

Opening his inventory, Ainz pulled out an old Mirror of Remote View.

To be honest, he had better Mirror of Remote Viewing, but because they were expensive to create and manage, he always used the old version.

However, considering that the gods, demons, and angels, minus the current Primordial Gods, would not be able to descend without a sacrifice, Ainz planned to give each realm a mirror.

In Heaven there will be one inside the Hall of God, in Hell, one would be presented to all of the Demon Kings and in Asgard one would be in the palace, and one in Helheim.

This would create the sense of omniscience for the gods and demons.

To make it fair, Ainz added one in Olympus, in the Temple of the Fates and one in the Underworld.

Grabbing seven summoning crystals, Ainz activates them, summoning seven armored angels that look like mechas rather than flesh and blood creatures.

The creatures in front of him are Seraph Empyrean, high tier angels, the ones closest to the throne of God.

Technically, there were more powerful angels, however it's impossible to summon them without having a specific class and losing experience.

As high-level angels, the Seraph Empyreans had a myriad amount of divine spells. They could summon many low level angels, which in a way solved the lack of angels in Heaven.

Ainz had to use a Mercenary Scroll since the Seraph Empyrean were summon creatures. One of the ways to modify them was to use it.

His use of the Mercenary Scroll to create NPCs could be said to be pioneer by him. He was surprised it worked, but happy nonetheless.

Ainz changed their appearance to look human, with seven pairs of wings on their backs. A golden halo floated about their heads, showing their divine origins.

The Archangels look similar, other than the clothes and items they had.

Ainz checks their template, erasing information about himself, putting God in his place. He gave them names, the names of the archangels from the Bible.

Finishing with them, he forced them asleep, which is difficult, since as angels they possess resistance to such spells but with Ainz massive mana pool and level difference, they had no choice but to sleep.

Waving his hand, a young blonde-haired man appeared before Ainz began to change his very being. Ainz made him a true pureblood Celestial, which was more divine than an angel.

His body faded away as divine light covered his very being. Whenever one looks at him, all they will see will be a ball of light.

A mortal would combust upon gazing upon his body, so it wouldn't be a hard call him a god but it would be hard to call him God.

Sending the archangels and God away, Ainz signed with tiredness. Having a mortal body was truly bothersome sometimes.

If he was in his Overlord form, he could continue to work longer, but since he wanted to experience the pleasure of mortality, he was willing to bear with the tiredness.

He was about to create the sovereigns of the demon race, the Demon Kings. The creation of Demon Kings to most should be easier for him than the angels but that wasn't the case.

Living in a place full of evil creatures and being the lord of said beings, Ainz wouldn't feel satisfied to create half-ass Demon Kings.

Spending five times as long on the Demon Kings as the archangels, Ainz created perfect templates for them.

He changes a few things, such as the Ruler of the Eight Hells, to be Asmodeus, the Demon King of Lust, the Ruler of the second layer.

Ainz never liked Lucifer, as he was too stupid for his liking. How was he supposed to become God if he cannot even plan for all possibilities? His pride blinded him, and that's also why he is the weakest of the seven Demon Kings.

Putting each Demon King on their level, Ainz activated Armageddon Evil, causing the entirety of Surface Hell to turn crimson as demons poured out of the ground, covering the entire floor in matters of minutes.

It wasn't long before thousands of low-level demons covered Surface Hell.

The demons were confused since they were summoned from the Demon World, into another Demon World which seems to just finish being constructed.

This Demon World made them feel awe and somewhat humble, as they notice that there exist lower layers, probably meaning even more dangerous demons exist down there.

In their Demon World, there was one giant level that spanned a large area. The rulers amongst them each rule over a region, being kings among their kind.

Some brave demons decide to venture down to the lower levels, to see what resides down there.

As soon as they entered the second level of hell, an invisible power pressed down on her body, causing the amount of power they could access to reach a high time low.

With this power level, even a weak human could kill them. Aware of this, the demons decide to forget it and return to the surface.

Ainz was ignorant of what the demons thought, as he didn't know that perfecting Hell caused a divide in the levels of the demons.

Maybe in the future there will be ranks between demons. However for now there will only be low-level demons and demon kings.

Checking the time, Ainz realizes it should be time for Gaia to give birth, and it was also time for the Greek world to change and welcome their gods.
