Dragons are not very social creatures, even amongst their kind. The bonds of familial kinship were also not very strong among dragons. Dragons would randomly find a place to lay eggs and leave them there or kick them out of the nest a year or two after they were born. After leaving the nest, even their siblings would become rivals for living space.
In addition, it was common for the treasure-loving dragons to fight when they saw each other's troves. It was rare for many dragons, particularly those who had left the nest, to live together in one place. It would never happen without an overwhelmingly powerful Dragon Lord to gather them under its reign. One habit that unites all dragons is the love of precious metals, jewels, magic items, and related wealth.
"Who are you?" The black dragon said with dangerously narrowed eyes while looking at Igneel, and the gate behind him where 3 other people stepped out. A dragon senses to see the vauae was not to be looked down upon, this black dragon's eyes instantly explored with greed seeing how valuable the items Igneel and the others had on, but this greed disappeared once he realized they were all dragons.
high-ranking dragons have polymorphic spells that allow them to transform into their human form. The only dragons who were capable of doing such things were those far stronger than himself, to be able to use a spell to take on a human form wasn't the hard part, an illusion or something of the kind could do. it was truly taking on a human form, that level of transformation wasn't simple.
"My name is Igneel, and I came here to give you the chance to come to my kingdom of dragons," I said with a smile, making the dragon's eyebrow tighten. he had never heard of a dragon empire or kingdom. dragons were the absolute strongest race, they lived as they wished. the only thing they had to worry about was another dragon.
"Kingdom Of Dragons?" the black dragon asked, to which Igneel nodded slightly,
"A place where only dragons could exist, I built it from the ground up, and currently I have thousands of dragons... well, you should first come to see for yourself and see if you like it or not," I said with a smile, the Black dragon's senses told it that it was best it went. it had a bad feeling if it said no, something bad would happen, so it nodded its head,
"Good," I said while using the ring, and cast one of the newly recorded spells, Gate, this one leading to the new second floor of the dragon Palace. with that, I and the dragon entered and found ourselves in hell, It cost a lot, but I switched the floors, and had Hell be the first floor.
"t-those is your kingdom?" Horror filled the dragon's eyes seeing the undead dragons, so many walking aimlessly around. there were even skeleton dragons with their complete immunity to some degree of magic.
"yes, but you can't stay here. only the undead can stay here." I said calmly while opening another gate, which I had him follow me through, leading to the second floor. there we arrived, and instantly the pupils of the dragon shrunk seeing the endless number of humans there. he knew all of them were dragons,
"Before I give you permission to wonder my kingdom, there is a thing you should ask about why, the king personly came to get you," I said calmly,
"one, I'm not of this world and the magic of this world is new to me. so I want you to help me and my people understand it. at the same time, I want information about this world. in return, you would be under my wings, to protect and give resources to grow, along with some treasures you want. hell, when you gain the power to turn into a human. you can wear gear like none other. understood?" I asked to which the dragon slowly nodded its head in understanding.
"so, first tell me a thing or two about yourself. who are you?" I asked with a smile, to which the dragon took a deep breath before speaking.
Negra was his name. like most black dragons, he was kicked out of his nest by his mother to go and survive on his own 300 years ago. he was considered an old dragon by now, above him would be the Ancient Dragon dragons which would normally have the strength needed to fight for the title of dragon lord.
Anyway, for the past 300 years. he had to survive, and avoid being killed by other races who would jump at the chance to kill a baby dragon, while also avoiding bumping into his siblings until he was strong enough to fight back. currently, he had land for himself. yes, it was near some humans, but he didn't care for insects. to him, goblins, humans, trolls, and so on were all just different types of insects.
after taking his 50-year nap, he was planning to go treasure hunting, or maybe find his sibling's caves and steal their treasures. luckily, he gets the jump on them and kills them. That was pretty much all to his story, in the dragon's eyes, there was nothing huge that happened. his life was too short to have any huge event take place. Igneel's appearance was the biggest event of his life.
So, Igneel had him tell him about the powerhouses of this world. and instantly, the dragon lost himself as he spoke about the Chaos Primordial Dragon. the strongest dragon there was, said to have birthed all other dragons, the dragon was shocked that I didn't know of this dragon.
The Chaos Primoirdla Dragon was a god, the origin and source of wild magic. it said that he could do just about anything with his magic, from creating life to erasing it from existence, and even affecting time and space. many dragons believed he was the creator of this world,
below him were his children, The Fire, Earth, Wind, Air, Water, Light, and Darkness Primoirdal Dragon. these 7 children went on to birth to all other dragons, from the lava dragon to the frost dragon. they split this world amongst each other, the water dragon ruling the sea, the air dragon ruling the sky, and so on. They were huge and said to be as long as counties.
below them were the Dragon Lords, be it amongst the black dragons, or the frost dragons, all of them had dragon lord. a dragon lord was like the strongest of their race, and were given the chance to even meet with the primordials if they were lucky.
Igneel also learned that the 4 human clans were not the only huge clans out there, humans had spread out far and wide. on the continent they were on, the Dragon Palace was located pretty much in the center... well, about a few miles away from it.
to their right was a huge lake, Levi and his tribe only saw a small branch of the leak, but the thing was far bigger and could be mistaken for the sea. the true lake was about 100 miles from the Dragon Palace, and if we left nonstop for about 600 miles we would hit the sea.
up north for about 1,600 miles, we would hit the sea as well, and about down, about 1,300 miles, you would hit the sea. dragons could be found somewhere within this much land, as for what was beyond the lake, the dragon didn't know. so Igneel guessed they were not in the center, maybe to the far left of this continent.
why else would the dragon call it a nake? he knew other dragons called it a lake, so thats what he called it. there was also the fact this world seemed a bit... small. honestly, if you had dragons the size of islands, to counties, you should be able to see them, that was even more so when most of them would rather take on a dragon form than anything else.
if that was so, dragon sightings would be more common, leading me to believe there were more out there than this simple continent, even though the black dragon knew nothing about what was beyond the sea, it was considered a forbidden zone for the weak due to how huge the sea was.
Plus, I wished this world to be bigger than Earth. I would be greatly disappointed if this world wasn't that big. back in the game YGGDRASIL, each of the 9 realms was a leaf. they were estimated to be two to three times the size of Tokyo.
"My lord." Odin suddenly appeared the aura he gave off enough to make the dragon's legs go weak. Odin had a worried look, but after seeing Igneel was okay, he threw a glare toward Alfred. how could he allow his lord to step out like that?
"Odin, this is Negra. he will be helping you in your search. I have welcomed him here, so treat him right. understood?" I asked to which Odin who wanted to say something could only node with a helpless look... should he chain up his lord? For his lord's safety, he would do it if he had no choice
'The Chaos Primordial Dragon... if what Negra said is true, that guy is stronger than me. but he is the source of all this magic, I will take that power for myself.' I thought while walking away, a sharp look in my eyes.
would you like someone stronger than yourself to exist out there? of course not. For now, they needed information, this young dragon gave us nearly nothing. I will leave the knowledge collection from other dragons to Raven, and the support from Thor if it's ever called for such a thing.
but first, this would be put on hold. so I called for a meeting to be held the next day to go over the guild's progress in the past 2 months. so, the next day Igneel sat on a throne, Hela, Arbol, Aqua, Zeus, Stella, Loki... and a new guy. a man with flaming red hair. it almost looks as if his hair was made out of fire. his body was messy, and he didn't care much for his appearance, that was because his face was deformed, and this was Hephaestus. found in the basement of the 7th floor, guarding the treasury. he was also the strongest of all of the level 100 NPC
With Odin standing at my side, I calmly looked at them for a moment before speaking.
"I'm sure by now we all know about the primordial dragons and so on. but before we even think about them, I want to know the current condition of the guild. so, starting from the first-floor guardian, report." I said calmly,
"Reporting from the first floor, I was able to minimize the cost of everything, while moving around the traps, and spawns to make the most space possible. Thanks to Loki's help, I was also able to maximize their usefulness while taking into account the cost it would take to fix them if needed. currently, my floor is not only far stronger than before, but we are saving more than 10 times the gold coins compared to before." Hela said with a smile, eyeing me deeply. I avoided eye contact while simply nodding my head
"Reporting from the 2nd floor. currently, my floor is Self-sustaining. after minimizing the cost without weakening my floor. our cost had dropped by 5 times. all of the cost from my floor is being canceled out by the incoming it's bringing in. Currently, we are working to see if we can increase the income even more, so we can support the other floors. also, I plan to have about 30% tax on the food grown. that is of course going to you." Arbol said with a gentle smile, to which I nodded slightly
"Reporting from the 3rd floor. the cost on my floor remains the highest, but thats due to how huge it is. so, after maximizing the traps while minimizing the cost. we have captured much sea life, and thanks to Goetia, the rate these animals are producing has been sped up. we are currently working on being the top seafood supplier to the other floors. we have also become self-substance as well, with how large my floor is, I'm working on having about 50 or so million different sea life take root." Aqua said with with a smile,
"reporting for the 4th for... well, the cost there could only be minimized. it's a mountain with harsh conditions, making it hard for most plant life to take root there. so, we are looking for another form of income, such as mining, so far we have found many unique ores which could be sold. the land heals, so in a way, we have an endless amount of resources. but we have found that overdoing this does increase the amount we each month. because of this, we are seeing how much mining we should do to avoid increasing the price." Loki said calmly, this was currently not self-sustaining just yet.
"Reporting from the 5th floor. the city in the save is well... it shames me to say that it can't be self-sustaining for the time being. we are currently trying to find something to bring us income, but as it is a city built on clouds, thats not so simple. however, I have lowered the cost of the floor by more than 6 times. we are currently seeing if we can grow unique plants that only grow at extremely high heights and other such things. we are also starting a farm, and trying to size up the money to have our floor size increase so we can do more experiments." Zeus said, to which I sighed softly. Zeus' floor was the smallest
"Reporting from the 6th floor. I was lucky as those in my city could care little for food and water due to where they live. instead, what worries me is the cost of the traps and other such things I cost money to keep up. I was able to minimize them, but there isn't much I can do. to make income, I'm working with Arbol to have the dragons capable of using sunlight-based spells go down and support her farm. I plan to see if I could grow unique plants that could only be grown under unique starlight, moonlight, or other things to make income." Stella said with a tired look, which made me pity her. She was not good at leading others, so giving her this task was stressing her out.
"Reporting From the 7th floor, the treasury. the amount of money we have and adding our current intake rate. we could go... 10 years before we run dry. This is not adding the chance we might have to use more gold coins for other tasks like fixing traps or bringing back a falling ally to life." Hephaestus said calmly, making me node slightly
"Reporting from the 7th floor... the 7th floor condition is the worst out of all other floors. the traps here are the most, plus the maids here all need food due to how low-level they are. it was okay the way lord had it, but with the dragon, knights spawned along with the other unique dragons, and mainly the cost for Hephaestus blacksmithing room, we are using more than twice the amount of money than any other floor while having the lowest income." Odin said calmly,
"I have been trying to create a way for the dragons who wish to eat to do work to make money to buy things. dragons which helped in the collection of fish for Aqua floor were laid out depending on how much fish they brought in, and dragons which are working on the second floor to help grow plants also get paid for their work. In a few months, Arbol would have saved enough for her floor to grow. form there we can use the new land to have new farms, and do more experiments." Odin said before I stopped him
"why not have undead do work?" I asked calmly, causing Odin to freeze for a moment. oddly enough he didn't think of such a thing. since the dragons were okay with eating for a day and going months without food, they were not the best for the job. but he was trying to do what I asked him, allowing the people's lives to remain comfortable, so he wanted them to work for it.
"what would happen if the food they take cost something else? if they were to join my army, and their service to the army could give them points, points which could be used to buy things they want. as for those who did their time in the army, they could do other things to gain points. many jobs would give points, some more than others. for example, those who want to learn to be a blacksmith, sell their weapons for such points, which could later be used to buy food, clothing, and other things." I said, leaving Odin's pupil to shrink for a moment.
"This would be a stable cycle. they would, but we are not coughing up any of our wealth, instead, the worthless points would be worth something because they believe it's worth something. This way we make money, by not losing anything. as everything they buy would be grown." I said before Odin bowed slightly
"My apologies my lord, I have shamed myself," Odin said, with a downcast look. how could he not think of something so simple? he was shamed,
"No need to apologize. It is easier to come up with ideas and plans when seeing or hearing about the whole picture... now, Loki a report on the human? how far are they before they could start giving us offerings?" I asked calmly,
"Well, I already did. right now, they should be collecting resources to offer up to you, the shinobi is to collect them and bring them in to trade in for gold." Loki said with a smile, to which I nodded slightly before asking him, how things with the humans were going, through there you can see what I cared about most.
"Well, the beast was such foolish creatures, they were more easily collected than expected... 10, no, 7 days at most. the Uzumaki clan would face them, while we work from the shadows to have them flee towards Levi, who has been spreading the news to the other clans about such an event about to happen. he is of course considered a fool by many, but when he battled the Uchiha clan leader and showed off the sword power, more people took him seriously. things are lining up perfectly for them to turn towards him for help." Loki said with a cruel smile, to which Hela's eyes glowed slightly
"My lord, can I also join in the fun? can I capture some human and bring them to Hell?" Hela asked with bright eyes, the thought of those insects fighting for her amusement, brought her a unique sense of pleasure.
"I like what you're thinking. Loki targets those with gifts. I want to learn more about them, bring them back here to be studied closely." I said to which Loki nodded, while Hela pouted slightly, that's not what she meant. next was Odin's turn,
"Well, my research in the past few days into the fusion of wild magic and tier magic has been... well, I realize it might take hundreds of years to make much progress. so, I wish to truly learn the magic. with Negra's help, I should be able to do so at the fastest speed possible. but even so, I wish to have more dragons of this world here." Odin said while I looked at him with an interested look.
"For one, we can use them as spies once they are under our control. having them explore this world for us while using them as a cover. we can even use them to test these primordial strengths. lastly, not all dragons would willingly want to join us. we can use them to test how we can gain Wild Magic. maybe we need to eat them, maybe we need to absorb their magic through special means. either way, we should try seeing what we can do with this magic." Odin said to which I nodded slightly,
"Loki, how long until humans and dwarfs meet?" I asked calmly, Loki thought for a moment before speaking.
"I say at most... 1 year," Loki said to which I went quiet for some time before nodding, i was willing to wait, plus we couldn't try and take on too many tasks all at once. we were all dragons that grew stronger with time. what did we need to worry about? The more time that passed, the stronger we got...
"Than, Odin let's not rush with the dragon take over too quickly. just have all of the dragons in the nearby range under our control. I want to know about the magic of the dwarf, I also wish for Hephaestus to learn it, and maybe one day create gear like none other. combing wild magic, runesmith, and YGGDRASIL knowledge." I said calmly, to which Odin nodded slightly, while Hephaestus's body shook. that would be a first, his body shook in excitement at the thought of doing so.
"So, until Hephaestus gets his hands on Runesmithing, our range would be limited," I said calmly
"Understood!" Everyone said at once, and with that, the meeting came to an end...
