Chapter 29 : Versus Other Hunters

"Aren't we lucky? Three idiots hunting down monsters, when they can took it from the others, gahahaha!"

'More people were coming, their number increased by 9. There are 12 of them and I can feel some of them are strong'

"Aren't you guys overestimating us if you're that many?" Evan said.

"I don't underestimate my enemies, I always go all out"

"Who are they brother?" Tom was hiding behind Leo's back.

"They have such a large number for a single world to have. But they may also be from a single world"

Evan looked at each and every member of their enemy.

"Good no woman, I can't deal with girls"

"Ohh, it seems you have the wrong idea. We're only here to collect your catch, we don't want unnecessary fights. It'll be win-win for both of us, you guys get to live longer and we get a few more monsters, hohoho"

They're wearing the same clothes, with a same badge on their chest. They really came from a single world. Wait how many worlds are there? And how many human came from Evan's world?

Such thoughts crossed to Leo's mind.

"What win-win are you saying!?"

"Evan wait!"

Evan jumped towards the leader of the enemies as he clenched his fist.

"Was it the only way? Well, it is because we're not letting you live, get him! Ohohohoho!" Five of his member went to fight against Evan and five people also went to Leo and Tom, leaving the leader and another one behind.

Evan's still in mid-air and was gonna reach the leader.

"A good punch in the face will do right? Haa!"

It was intercepted by the five, the power of his punch was a lot stronger than their defense so they flew everywhere but recovered easily.

"Don't get in my way!" Evan landed on his feet and so the others.

They were each holding a dagger, a group of assassin. They surrounded Evan and constantly encircling him as they throw dagger to him.

"Behold, my brother's circle of death, Dart throwing, hohoho"

They kept throwing daggers, but Evan can easily saw and dodged the daggers. When someone threw his dagger, the other one at the end will catch it and threw it again. The dagger's speed keep increasing as they throw it continuously. Evan can't keep up anymore and was getting a graze everywhere in his body.

"Kuh! Argh! They keep throwing I can't keep up with them anymore!" Evan got his leg hit, his arm and stomach.

"Hohoho, it looks like you can't keep up anymore"

"Argh! If you guys don't want to stop then I'll!" He bumped his hands together and puts strength in his hands, raised it and strike the ground. The ground trembled as the ground cracked up. The enemies was shaken and stopped their attacks. They lose balance, Evan saw this as an opportunity and used it. He swiftly leaped through and with "One!" He break its neck, to the other one "Two!" He used the dagger the enemy's holding and used it to stabbed his throat. Then to the other, "Three and Four!" Evan hold the third's and fourth's neck and break it together. "The last one the fifth!" Evan pulled out the dagger on his leg, arm and stomach, then he stabbed it where he was stabbed with it. Evan and the leader can clearly and loudly hear them screaming in agony as they die.

"You! How dare you killed my brothers! You'll pay for it!"

"I'd like to see you try"

The other five also did the same to Leo and Tom. It's hard defending him and his brother. Leo increased his senses to keep up to their attacks. Leo focused his eyes on a single dagger for a second. The enemy threw it at Tom, Leo caught it and deflected the other daggers.

"Imposibble! He caught my dagger and defend our attacks" they stopped moving and distanced themselves to Leo and Tom.

"Where are you going?"

"Wha- ugh!" Leo used 'cloak' and quickly went behind him and stabbed him in the guts, twice.

They drew another dagger, Leo had vanished from their sight.

"Brother behind you!"

He looked back and with a whoosh his head flew and fall to the ground. They then felt the ground shake and both lose balance for a second. Leo threw the dagger, the enemy dodged, his balance still unsteady and when he looked down he saw Leo with his fist clenched. He groaned in pain and had to let go of the dagger. Leo picked it up and stabbed him with it. The two others got scared, "Mo-monster!" They ran away but Leo chased them and also killed them mercilessly.

Tom was shocked as he saw his brother brutally killed those humans. He thought that his brother still has a side that he didn't know.

"Ah... that felt refreshing" Leo was stretching his arms as he walked towards Tom.

"Brother, did you just enjoy killing them?" This is his first time seeing Leo like that.

"That was the first time I killed human. Yeah I enjoyed it, what am I gonna do about it they're gonna kill us. It's kill or be killed, no need to pity everyone. It might come and bite you when you're not looking"

"Even so, they're... still humans"

"It's just as your brother said, no need to pity them. They're worst than you think, they killed and even abused and torture other people before killing them..." it was the other one left besides the hohoho guy. (Even I, the author don't know his name)

Leo's always on his guard, not letting it down even for a second when inside a dungeon.

"Then that also applies to you..." Leo said.

He jumped down from the tree and shortened the distance between them.

"Unfortunate, how unfortunate" he lean closer and sniffed Leo. "I can sense it! The power matching his Excellency! How unfortunate, truly unfortunate that you'll die by my... hands!"

He doesn't wield any weapon, but he swung his sharpenes hands, poiting at Leo's neck at point blank range. Leo stepped back, he bumped and stumbled over Tom. He forgot he's behind him, Tom caught him with both hands.

"How unfortunate" he went for another one, this one was pointing at his heart. It was fast, Leo can't put force on his hands to defend so he turned to Tom and dodged to the side with him.

He wasted no time and followed Leo with another attack, he was focused on Leo and it made Leo noticed this and thought that he doesn't have to worry about his brother getting hurt.

A barrage of impaling attack, Leo haven't stood up because his enemy kept attacking him. He was rolling on the ground avoiding each and every fatal attack. He was attacking endlessly, he then shown signs of slight exhaustion for Leo to noticed.

Leo kicked him with his feet and flipped over. He blocked it and took a few meters away.

"Truly unfortunate, my attacks can't reach you. How unfortunate, for me to used this"

"Panic rush, let's me improve my movement speed and inflict more damage. It also sharpened even my senses. I can also use this for about a minute and uses a lot of MP. That's why it's unfortunate"

He then begun moving, his speed had increased drastically making it hard for Leo to keep up with his speed.

"Don't you think you're cheating?"

"Do you really think I am!?"

"Yeah, because cheaters will always go behind and will go for the kill!" Leo had predicted that his enemy's first attack would be behind him.

Leo looked back readied the dagger and swung it. Unfortunately he was fast enough to dodged. Leo then looked at Tom who's watching from meters.

He begun speeding up again after he dodged Leo's attack.

Leo focused his senses, trying to locate his movement pattern.

'A litte more, to the side.., to the side... now!' He glared at his side and threw his dagger. Leo's dagger didn't hit him.

"How unfortunate!" He has no reason to hold himself back and be wary of Leo'a weapon since he had threw it.

He swiftly leaped from the tree trunk and with a lightning speed he dashed towards Leo aiming at his neck.

"I win" Leo said as he smirked to him.

"Huh!? What are you sayi- Huh?" He saw a ball of ice coming from above Leo.

He can't dodged, it will hit him.

*Stunned*

The ball of ice hits Leo along with him, his hands was a few centimetre away. He was frozen mid-air and fall on the ground, he can clearly see it, Leo's still smiling face. And then he heard footsteps coming from his side, it was Tom holding the dagger.

"I don't want to do this but it's you who said it, 'no need to pity everyone'. I don't want to kill you but, you're going to kill my brother. How unfortunate!"

Tom stabbed his frozen heart, soon the spell cast off and undid the skill.

"Tru..ly... Un...fortunate..." he then completely fell on the ground.

"That's what you get when you cheat, you either get reported and get banned or get also cheated"

'Huu... that was cold, he fell from my fake throw attack, he didn't noticed that I threw it to Tom whilst I ordered him to cast his skill.

Leo pats Tom's head and hugged him, caressing his back.

"It's okay, I didn't do what I did, you might be the one lying dead on the ground"

Leo and Tom picked up the container their enemies where carrying. It seems like they have accumulated a large number of monsters from the others.

After picking up the containers, Leo and Tom went to where Evan is.
