Chapter 17 : Error

Cristina, after she bids farewell to Leo, quickly went back to Daniel's office.

She arrived at the office, Daniel's face were dead serious.

"So Chairman Daniel, what did you wanted to talk about?"

She quietly asked as she sat down clasping her hands.

"It's confirmed"

Daniel stood behind his desk and turned his back, staring at the window.

Her face had described that she's shocked by what Daniel said.

"I want you to do something"

Cristina answered yes and nodded her head.

After a few hours trip from Quezon City to Bulacan, Leo arrived at his home. Tom also just got home, a little bit earlier than Leo from school.

Leo thanked the driver who drove him home.

"I'm home" Leo took off his shoes.

"Welcome home *Kuya*, you didn't ate the food I left for you" (note: Kuya means Big Brother, blood-related or addressing an adult guy)

Leo totally forgot that Tom had left him his lunch.

"Sorry Tom, I had something to do and took the opportunity to eat outside. A change of pace, you know"

"So you're saying, you don't like my cooking anymore?"

"No that's not what I meant"

Leo got flustered, trying to make some excuses.

"Hahahaha! I'm joking Kuya"

Tom laughed hard in front of Leo, Leo couldn't say anything because he thought Tom was serious when he said that.

"By the way Kuya, my teacher said that all parents must attend this coming Friday, for PTA"

Tom changed the topic, he was taking out his notes and was gonna do his assignments.

"I'll come, what time?"

"1:30 P.M."

"Gotcha"

Leo was woken up by the loud notification the system had given. He rubbed his eyes and let out a deep yawned, then he opened the window

"The hell!? What's wrong with you- with this system?"

As expected, the system won't reply, of course, why would it.

[Raid rewards : D-rank raid]

[2. Weapon Upgrade]

[3. 5 stats points]

Leo was a bit disappointed at the rewards, he was expecting a bit.

[Mission 2 : Participate on a C-rank raid]

[time remaining : 29 minutes]

He rose quickly from his bed, shocked and couldn't believe what he had read.

"Huh!? What are you saying? I already went on a C-rank raid! So, what is this ?"

A 'ting' sounded inside his head, sign of a notification has been sent. Leo opened the message, his face clouded over.

[A typo had happened, the entry-pass the player had received wasn't a C-rank, but a D instead.]

"What the hell this goddamn bad of a system is talking about?"

Leo rested his face on his palm and shook his head. He was thinking, what the consequences would be, is there a punishment or something 'cause there's a timer. If there is, what would it be?

He went silent for a moment, then he walked out of his room to catch a beer inside the fridge. He pulled the lid of the can and gulped a mouthful one as if he was so thirsty.

"Ahhhh! That was refreshing!"

Ting! [Mission 2 : Time remaining 10 minutes]

Leo ignored the message and took another can of beer, opened the lid and drank it.

After two cans of beer, he stopped and he had taken out the food Tom made for dinner, it was already past 10 in the evening, he had slept for about 7 hours. He get some rice placed in a plate and the dinner Tom made was curry. Leo took two scoop of curry and puts it in a bowl, then he started eating.

Ting!!! [Mission 2 : time remaining 59 seconds]

He did nothing for it, even if he, it's the middle of the night and no raids are ongoing, all raids after 8 P.M are closed. The system played him dirty

[30 seconds] It was like, the system had put a timer and has to eat it within 1 minute.

Leo finished eating before the timer reaches zero, he closed his eyes after that. He felt a cold prick in his skin and then he opened his eyes.

"What the hell! A desert!"

It was vast, the desert it is. And in front of him, is an oasis, palm tree sitting beside it and a one day meal tightly covered with plastic preventing sand and dust to dirtied the food.

[A punishment will be given since the player hadn't completed the mission. The player will be given 24 hours to either kill the thousand monsters consisting of weak and strong ones or survive till the time runs up]

[A reward will be given, if the player stayed alive till the end, consider it as a compensation for the error]
