Chapter 2

Time has passed since Duchess Zavastor has passed away.

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you Liliana! Happy birthday to you!"Mary sang to Liliana.

Today, Liliana is 3 years old, she has grown up from being a baby to now a toddler.

Liliana has shimmering, long, wavy silver hair reaching her waist, her big, sparkling golden eyes is filled with joy and happiness, but she soon realised that today is also her mother's death anniversary, she was no longer as happy as before, those delicate and delicious desserts in front of her were no longer as appealing as before.

"You reaper! I don't like you! Why did you took my mother away from me, it was better if you were never born in this world, if you were not born then mother could have still been with us, this day is the day for you to remember that you are a sinner, a devil. Nobody likes you nor wants you! Even our father hates you!" said Liam with his icy tone to Liliana

"Brother, thank you for attending my birthday party! Would you like to try out some of the cakes"said Liliana with a smile on her face

"What do you mean? Birthday party? I can only see you and Mary, other than you two, there is no one else here to celebrate your birthday! Don't mistake me as one of the people who wants to celebrate your birthday, my only purpose to come here is to remind you of the horrible thing you have done, remember you are not my family, you are not my sister, my sister wouldn't kill my mom."said Liam with an anger

He then threw away the cake in Liliana's hand and stepped on it, then went away.

Liliana was left alone once again, no one was there to wish her happy birthday except for her maid Mary.

"Mary is it really my fault? Did I killed my own mother? Am I really a sinner? Am I a devil?"asked Liliana in a sad, miserable tone

"Young lady Liliana, it is your fault! You are a sinner and also a devil, you have done so many bad deeds that no one loves you, your mother hates you because you have killed her, she has cursed you to not be able to receive love till the day you die, your father and brother hates you since you have killed your mother, they are fulfilling your mother wishes, and today what you did was admirable, remember you need to suffer so that you can repent for the sins you have done, so no matter how much people bullies you or make you angry, don't retaliate!"said Mary with a smile on her face

Liliana was now left all alone in her room, her room was plain, there was almost nothing in her room except for just some basic necessities. Liliana decided to cover herself to sleep and hoped that her birthday never comes again, she didn't even realized that tears were naturally falling off her face.

Liliana is a bad child, I am a sinner and a devil, Liliana must suffer and cannot retaliate, I don't deserve happiness since I killed my own mother, I am a bad child a very bad child.

Soon a month passed away

It was now Liam's six years old birthday party, Liliana needed to attend his birthday party this year because she has never got the opportunity to attend his birthday party before, now, she is being dressed up by Mary.

She had a big yellow ribbon tied up to her hair, she wore a pure white dress, with some ribbons decoration, she looked super adorable and beautiful in her dress.

When she entered the party room, she saw her brother who always made an angry or cold face to her, smiling and laughing around with his friends, she saw and realized that what her brother said back then is true, I did not have a birthday party, actually it's fine if Liliana never have a birthday party, I don't deserve happiness.

She didn't even realized that all the nobles were paying attention to her.

"Omg is that the youngest daughter of Duke Zavastor? She is so cute!"commented one of the noble

"Yeah, I absolutely agree with you, she is indeed so cute, she resembles her mother a lot, I think she will turn out to be a great beauty one day."commented another noble

The nobles were paying attention to the youngest daughter of Duke Zavastor due to her naturally adorable looks and the way she is so afraid and shy to approach others makes them become overprotective of her, even the most strict and cruellest nobles would began to be overprotective of this young child.

When Duke Zavastor arrived, all eyes were on him, he by passed his youngest daughter and went directly to his son side, he didn't even bother to look at his youngest daughter once, he smiled at his son but his daughter seem to be left out, the nobles heart was aching for this young child.

"Hey are you Liliana?" asked a boy with red hair and green eyes

Liliana was surprised by how the boy had suddenly approached her, she began to feel scared and wanted to avoid talking with him

"Hey I know that you are Liliana, Liam told me you are his little sister, so won't you come and play with me?"asked the boy with red hair and green eyes

Liliana began to walk in a different direction away from him since she felt scared and shy, she doesn't know what to say to him, she is worried that her brother will hate his friend, if he played with her.

"Hey! Don't run away! My name is Ryan, come on let's play."said Ryan

Liliana got dragged by Ryan and they both went outside the party room, Ryan showed Liliana how to play sword fight, Liliana was horrified and wanted to go away.

"Leave me alone, I don't want to play sword fight!"said Liliana

"Come on it's not difficult at all, don't worry I will go easy on you."said Ryan

"Liliana come on and play sword fight with Ryan."said Liam with a smirk on his face

Liliana decided that even if it hurts a lot, I will still play sword fight with Ryan for her brother's sake, so she held the sword

The match begins now

Ryan swiftly came towards Liliana and she got hit in her back badly, it hurt her a lot, tears were forming in her eyes, she did not cry, she decided to go on till she dies, in that way brother will be happy, Ryan kept on hitting Liliana in the critical spots, then Ryan found it so strange that Liliana couldn't even attack him, he began to slow down and decided to see what moves will Liliana make.

Liliana had already began to lose consciousness but her will power kept on making her hold on and not give up, when she saw Ryan showing some weakness she gathered all her will power to attack him but alas she missed him, he attacked her one more time and that's when Liliana unconsciously loses control of her magic powers, by the time her mind became clear, she saw Ryan's body was heavily injured, blood splatter everywhere, she saw her hands were covered in his blood, she felt horrified, she saw the look in her brother's face and knew that he was calling her a devil, killer and a sinner.

She began to be terrified and she hoped and wished that Ryan will be ok, she was going to crazy but then soon someone knocked her out, she lost her consciousness.
