Our Love Repeats At Zero

A promised eternity and meaningful vows linked the Greek god of love and a mortal to lifetimes of relationship. Two drips of blood stained one rock as the proof of their devotion for each other. Before Eros could kiss his bride, she collapsed to deep slumber in his arms. The first and last kiss he ever laid on her forehead was a heart wrenching one that moved clouds to tears, stopped birds from singing and darkened the sky. At the peak of his heart ache, he glared at his mother, Aphrodite, resentfully for her lies, schemes and jealousy. "The moment you decided to hurt her, you should have expected losing me as your son." Eros eyes laid on his wife whose body withered to ashes and flowed to the underworld. "Let her live and I'll be her replacement." Once again, he watched her soul reach safety to the Oracle's hands. Aphrodite stripped away his power and threw him to the dungeon of suffering and torment, expecting him to give up his stubbornness after a few days. His love for her only deepened and the desire for power heightened. Eventually, he became the Devil. Oracle: "Her soul has been sent to the reincarnation portal, but I can't say when it would be her turn." "I'll wait for that day to come." Eros sipped his wine in his chamber as he stayed away from heavens. Thousands of years later..... "Master! Master! The human world is very exciting! There are books about you and your late wife's love story there too! I wonder how humans learn about these stories." The teenage crow demon, Axle, flapped his wings excitedly as he chanted about his findings. "Oh? Then bring me that book as souvenir next time." Eros chuckled at his underling. ------------------- The crow disguised himself as a teenager and always wandered around in a bookstore. "Tsss.. paper cut!" The girl accidentally cut her finger when she flipped to the last page of the Greek mythology tales book at the counter. "Are you alright?" "Yes, but the book..." "It's fine. I'll still take it." The crow said as he didn't mind the drip of blood that stained the words, happy ending, on the last page of the book. --------------- The book burned to flames and was tossed to the floor for others to make a bonfire. "Ridiculous! Happy ending? Don't let me see that ever again!" Eros' rare anger filled voice echoed piercingly in other demon's ears. Crow: "Master! Look!" Eros' attention landed on the pile of ashes on the floor. With widened eyes, he approached the pile of ashes and picked up the unburned piece. "Happy ending.." Oracle: "Eros, she's back." -------------- - A certain high school - "Ugly trash! Leave!" Classmate voices echoed in the girl's ear as she found her gymnastic sneakers filled with pin tacks, gym uniform soaked in pungent scented liquid and scribbled curses all over her desk. Facing the insults five days a week, she had gotten used to it. Still, it hurt to see people duding by her appearance. As tears clouded over her face, the mixture of cosmetics melted. "Here, wipe your tears. Don't let their words get to you." The popular classmate smiled and handed her a pack of tissues, instantly winning her heart as nobody had shown her an inch of respect in school. Rinsing her cosmetic filled face at home, the water dyed grey along with other colors. "I found you, my prince." Too bad, the prince was just a jerk who wanted to gain popularity. Luckily, she realized it early. ------------------ One night, she saved a kitten from getting run over by a car. The driver stepped out and asked if she was alright. Seeing how the man was wrapped up from head to toe, she handed the kitten to him. "I'm fine. Here, take the kitten to the hospital." "Miss, I think you need the hospital more than the kitten." His voice sounded magnetic to her ears. "I'm really fine. Bye." Her gorgeous smile greeted the man warmly. "Interesting. She didn't scam me." Eros stared at the direction where she had ran away.

The Three Musketeers 4

"Sir, we just met earlier. You promised to take the kitten to the emergency room or hospital or any kind of medical help. How could you bring the kitten back to your apartment and torment it this way? You're too cruel!" Primrose sharpened her glare at Eros when she saw how careless he was holding the furry fellow in his hands.

Anxiety crept her senses. She feared he might accidentally slip and the kitten would follow the law of gravity to the ground below. Fortunately, the kitten was still within his balcony area, so even if his hand slips, the kitten will survive. Still, seeing the feline paddling its limbs to break free from the man shortened her breath.

Her heart practically thumped hard enough to jump out of her chest. Her arms extended outwards like parallel lines. Though her actions wouldn't help if the kitten does fall, she still dragged her arms out to make an effort. Due to the small distance between the two balconies, it was considered safe enough for a grown adult to stretch in this posture.

Currently, almost half her body was bent over to her neighbor's balcony. At this point, she definitely cared less about intruding on her neighbor's private space.

"Miss, since when did I say I was going to drop this furball down the apartment? I believe I only said it will go home tonight." Eros held back his laughter. He recalled where he saw the young lady before! 'She's the one who refused my money.'

Finding the lady quite interesting, he decided to talk to her. He watched Primrose stretching over from her side of the balcony to his. In his memories, he remembered the Oracle's guide mentioning humans and the dance moves they do for exercises. One of the drawn stick figures looked exactly like her current position. However, her confused expression looked so entertaining, he couldn't help his laughs.

"You- You- Then why would you walk out of your apartment with the kitten clipped between your fingers like that? Don't tell me you're here to look at the full moon and star river in the sky." Primrose continued tossing her doubts and observations at him. With her eyes squeezed nearly shut, she studied Eros's expression for signs of guilt.

"Well, human little girl, humans hold babies with both hands and arms. Cat mothers hold their kittens by the extra skin on their body, specifically where I am holding this feline. This won't hurt the furball. Instead, it'll give the furry creature a sense of security. Plus, the moon and stars are quite beautiful tonight. I did want to have a date with this kitten. Do you have a problem with that?" His smile was the opposite of his deep, seductive voice.

His voice sounded soothing to one's ears, but his smile was enough to provoke the opponent for a fight. As Primrose's palms struggled to flip upwards to form a cupping shape, her natural scent lingered to Artemis's nostrils.

Artemis paused on her wiggling exercise and concentrated on Primrose. 'Wait, she's the sister from before! This sweet smell and relaxing aura!' Her eyes sparkled gold sprinkles as if she had won the jackpot of a lottery.

Blinking, Artemis came up with a quick plan to escape Eros's hands. She looked up to the moon and gave it a wink. Like a shooting star, one of the stars began to shift and swim in the sky. Similar to a pencil shade, a rough texture connected the sky in a brushstroke. Soon, the mark disappeared and so did the star.

A random gust of wind blew in Eros's direction, blinding him with dust. He squinted, gushing tears out of his eyes while avoiding the strong breeze. From afar, a black feathered owl with glowing blue highlights flapped its wings eagerly.

Hoot Hoot~~~

"Huh?" Primrose's ears wiggled at the sound of an owl drawing closer to her location. However, the owl's movements were too quick and its smooth curve tossed an extremely small ball-shaped creature straight at Eros's face! As soon as Eros turned back around, he was struck by an object - hard enough for him to stumble backward.

"Ah! Dude!" Primrose witnessed Eros's fall. In the attempt to reach out and hold him back from falling, she also caught sight of Artemis being flung into Eros's apartment.

The loud thump in his apartment caused her to lose all her senses. "Fudge this!! I'm jumping over!" Primrose cracked her neck sideways, stretched her legs, and hopped over to Eros's balcony. Like a ninja, she landed with one knee kissing the ground and an arm stretched back toward the sky.

"Kitty!!!!! I'm coming!!!! Come here before you get tossed like onion rings down the apartment!!!" She rushed into the apartment, widening the gap between her legs as she avoided stepping on Eros. While groaning, he could hear his ears ringing with Primrose's voice.

"Meow!" The sweet high pitched voice immediately caught Primrose's attention.

The moment she turned around, Primrose found Artemis waving her tail in a squiggly line. Blinking with the gem-like eyes, Artemis attempted to stand on her hind legs and act cutely toward Primrose.

"Aww!!!" Primrose wrapped her arms around the furball asking for attention. As Artemis grew closer to Primrose, she sniffed the girl's special fragrance. It felt oddly warming and relaxing that Artemis could rest for a thousand years in her embrace.

"Are you hurt? Eh? Where are your cuts? Hmm...Could it be that it was too dark before and I saw wrong?" Primrose examined the kitten's limbs to make sure she was alright.

Then, at the corner of Primrose's eyes, she spotted something abnormal. She hugged Artemis to her chest and looked up to find a hamster wearing a striped outfit, pair of sunglasses, and a huge bow on its head positioning as a ninja on the kitchen countertop.

At that moment, Primrose thought she was dreaming, or perhaps it was an extremely realistic doll. However, the hamster's sunglasses fell off its furry head, tugging the bow off as well. While Primrose missed the kitten's unamused expression, the hamster did not miss the mockery on Artemis's face.

Squeak!

The hamster dashed toward Artemis. As it skipped its way over, the fragrance emitted from Primrose lingered in his nostril. "I came to rescue you from- Wait...What's that scent? Is that from the human girl?" The hamster squeaked, speaking in animal language with Artemis.

Licking her paws, Artemis replied. "Indeed. She's special." A jade-green spark flashed in her right eye as if she had figured something out.
