Doraldo (2)

Arlon sat in a bed in a hospital room contemplating everything that had happend. He was afraid because he thought he died and everything else yet now he had woken up in a modern day hospital bed. He felt embarrassed for even accepting such fantasy as a reality. To think he who didn't even give camping a second thought, and barely knew how to cook, had actually let the idea of living in a fantasy world that looked like the middle ages entere his mind. Thinking about this made him cramp from laughter, which in turn made his chest hurt more. He wondered what happened to him in his sleep. He wanted to look at his chest but it was covered with his hospital gown. He wanted to remove it but he didn't know if he was allowed as this was his first time in a hospital, the only place similar to a hospital that he had visited was a clinic near the town he was born in, even when he was born, it happened in his house. Arlon had a sad expression in his face, he was staying in his parents house for the first time in 2 years and this ended up happening. He could already hear his dad scolding him for not knowing how to cook, and telling him this must have happened due to eating outside. He shook his head and remembered that there were buttons to call for nurses, so he looked for it but didn't find it.

"This must be a small hospital" Arlon shrug.

He decided to call and see if someone would come. "Excuse me!" Arlon shouted.

"Please refrain from shouting in the hospital"

Arlon looked around, startled, but he didn't know where the voice came from. "Who said that" Arlon said with tone of surprise.

"I the hospital AI said it, would you like to speak to an actual being" the sound resounded again but this time it was accompanied with what looks like a hologram of the word AI.

Arlon was dazed for a moment before drowning in deep contemplation. He recalled Val and everything that happened, soon an idea popped in his head : "what if Val meant I was goona be reborn in another world" but that idea was discarded "why would he not tell me if that happened. Anyway I need to get informations, but talking to a human is too dangerous, what if this is another world and they find out I'm not a native, maybe this AI would be less dangerous"

Arlon coughed before looking at the hologram and saying in a what he wanted to be a normal voice "can you tell me what date it is" Arlon's voice was too shaky and his mouth was twitching yet he was oblivious to this.

The AI answered in the same tone as before "today is June 5th, 2069".

Arlon flinched at this reply, he was in 2018 last time he checked. And even if it was 2069, something as futuristic as a hospital AI was way ahead of time. He held back his surprise and said in a more solemn tone "where is this exactly".

The AI answered again "you are currently in the local healing center of district 29 of hope city of sunrise kingdom"

Arlon took a moment to ponder these informations. "I don't quite understand this district thing, and I have no idea about hope city, but sunrise kingdom is a a known place ine "the beast warriors" novel".

Arlon sank in deeper thoughts about this place, what just happened, and what hapoend before with Val. "As you don't have a body from this world as soon as you leave this house you will be reborn in the main world of Doraldo".

Arlon took a deep breath "if what Val said is correct then I was reborn with a suitable body for this world. Ai I will take a short nap"

"Enjoy your nap, I will inform the healer when you wake up". The AI replied.

In the world of Doraldo you can become a beast warrior and weild fantastical powers and the reason for that is the core. The place where you store, refine, and use primordial energy and beasts. Arlon relaxed his body and rememberd how the novels described looking into ones core. He was surprised at how easy it is, it's like moving a limb.

"Good you seem to be doing well for a first timer". Val's voice rang again in Arlon's brain.

"Val?" Arlon said surprised by the sudden appearance of this enigmatic character.

"It's good that you remember me. Last time I could barely talk because your body wasn't from this world. Now that you have a native body I can easily talk to you, but just so you know this is just a will designed to help, it's not the real me".

"Can you tell me what happened and how I got here" Arlon said in a hopefull tone, this conversation happend in his mind.

Val explained: "what I know is that you suddenly appeared in this world without notice, and because your body doesn't have primordial energy you were deemed in danger and since you are considered a guest, you were sent to the warriors cradle for me to help you adapt. I couldn't come in person since my overflowing energy would kill you, same goes for my communication methods. In the end all I could do is send your soul into a suitable body. Naturally since you are an honorable guest I have decided to give you suitable gifts.
