SWOOSH!!

Lumine was dashing through the forest, jumping from one branch to another swiftly.

She was running at her full speed, yet she dodged all the trees in the way without any problem.

Soon she rushed out of the forest and an open green plain greeted her.

Though she didn't waste time to appreciate the scenery and materialized her sword before thrusting at the person who seemed to be waiting for her.

THRUST!!

In the face of her coming attack, Primis just side stepped and made her miss him.

ROLL!!

She did a roll on the ground before hurriedly getting up and continued her offensive.

SLASH!!

SLASH!!

SLASH!!

SLASH!!

SLASH!!

...

…

Too bad that no matter how many times she strikes, Primis easily dodged all of them.

SLASH!!

After dodging one more attack, Primis saw the flaw in her stance and his hand moved.

Before she had time to counter, he grabbed her scar, raised his body, and jumped over her before throwing her on the ground behind.

BAM!!

Lumine: Auh!

She hurriedly got up and took a defensive stance.

Seeing that Primis didn't have any intention to continue with the follow-up attack, she held the handle of her sword tightly and rushed again.

Putting more strength into her attacks, she unleashed her 5 rapid sword strikes. This was her charged attack. A year ago, she could only unleash 2 such strikes. But now she can deliver five of them.

Witnessing this, Primis smiled a little before he grabbed her wrist and twisted it.

Lumine: Woah!

BAM!!!

In the next second, Lumine found herself laying on the ground on her back while looking at the sky.

Primis: Not bad. Your charged attack has improved again.

Hearing this instead of becoming happy, Lumine pouted cutely.

Lumine: Then why did Mr. Erste always end the fight when I used it.

Primis: That's because if I didn't then you will continue using it again and again until you succeed in hitting me and tire yourself out.

Lumine: It's worth in case I succeed.

In return, Primis just shook his head and didn't continue the topic.

Primis: Anyway, I am hungry. Prepare my breakfast.

Lumine: Can't I rest for some time.

Primis: You are only half tired. It won't be a problem for you to make food for me.

Lumine: Why do I have a feeling that the main reason Mr. Erste always ended our fight this way is because you were worried that there wouldn't be anyone to cook food for you if I got tired and needed rest?

Primis: Must be your imagination.

Lumine: *STAREEEEEEEE*

Averting his eyes, Primis let go of Lumine wrist and started walking away.

Though he could still feel her staring on his back.

"I also think that's the reason."

"Primis: What did you say? You want to switch places with Lumine and be the one responsible for my meals. Well, how can I say No to such offe---"

"How can that human girl has such bad thoughts about the Lord. My Lord is only doing what is good for her. Yet, she is questioning him. My Lord, give me the permission to teach such rude child a lesson."

"Primis: No need."

Saying this he continued making his way to where they were staying.

Lumine: Here, Mr. Erste.

She passed the Mushroom dish she prepared to Primis who was sitting at the edge of the cliff.

They had been staying here for the last six months. Lumine still shivered while looking at the sea below because in the past Primis many times threw her into it for training.

Looking at the dish in his hand, Primis remembered how a year ago when he told Lumine to cook for him, she made charcoal.

Then he recalled that according to the plot when Lumine and Aether were travelling together, it was always Aether who took care of food, cleaning, and other basic stuff. While Lumine just relaxed at the back.

Hence, Primis took it upon himself to teach her all of that. And now look at this meal she prepared.

If one had to give a rating to Lumine's cooking, then before it would be -5 star. But now, it's a genuine 5 star.

While Primis was eating it, he felt Lumine's gaze at him.

Primis: Is something the issue?

Lumine: ...How is it?

Primis: Oh...*nod* It's good.

Hearing this she smiled sweetly and picked up her own food before sitting beside Primis.

She was sitting so close that their shoulders were touching each other.

Nevertheless, Primis didn't mind since he was already used to Lumine's intimate behavior at this point.

'Primis: She really loved being praised by me.'

Putting that thought into the back of his mind, Primis concentrated on his own meal.

It was a peaceful time as there was only the sound of wind, birds, trees, and waves around them.

No one rushed. They ate slowly while enjoying this quality time.

An hour later.

They finished their meal and Lumine took their dishes to wash them.

"The first mission System gave Lord was to become her cook. Never expected Lord to do just the opposite."

"Primis: Like you could understand me in mere fifteen months."

"That's…True."

Looking at Lumine who was washing the dishes, Primis thought.

'Primis: The last time I cook myself was when I entered "Akame ga Kill" world for the first time and was guilty of making Ophis, Sheng Ming, and Ais worried. From then on, whenever I feel like eating, Sheng Ming and Ais were responsible for it.'

He started reminiscing about some past events.

'Primis: In "Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World", Rem was the one responsible. In "Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel", "Guilty Crown" and "Black Bullet" Wolds, that was Ophis, Scáthach, and Kisara duty. Do I feel sorry about it? Not one bit. Just because my skills are at higher level, it doesn't mean I should be one you responsible for it.'

Standing up, Primis stretched his body.

'Primis: In this world, Lumine will be responsible for that.'

"Primis: From what I have noticed instead of becoming angry or sad, Lumine loved doing it."

"Only for you, My Lord. I am sure if it was someone else then she would not have agreed that easily."

"Primis: I wonder."

Nine Months went by.

With this it's two years since Primis came to this world.

Currently he and Lumine were standing on a hill and were looking at the Hilichurls camp at the foot.

Hilichurls were bare-chested and bare-footed monsters who had a large mane covering most of their heads. They appeared to have two elongated ears sticking out of their mane. The only clothing they wore was a loincloth, while their arms and legs were loosely wrapped in bandages. Every Hilichurl was wearing a mask.

It was not a small camp. There were 25 Hilichurls there.

10 Normal Hilichurl. 5 Hilichurl Fighter. 5 Hilichurl Shooter. 5 Hiichurl Archer.

Primis: It's a test for you, Lumine. You must kill all of them.

Lumine: Easy.

Primis: It's not.

Lumine: Huh?

Primis: Since you are stronger than them. I am putting two conditions to make it more challenging for you.

Lumine: ...Ok.

Primis: First, you are not allowed to take any damage however minor. And second, you must kill in a single attack.

Lumine: A single move!

Primis: Yes.

Lumine: ...…

Now it was her time to turn silent.

Killing them in a single move means she must attack their vitals. It's not an issue in case there will be few Hilichurl but 25 of them made it difficult. Even though they didn't have perfect coordination, they will still attack non-stop one after another barely giving chance for Lumine to attack their vitals.

On top of that, Lumine must make sure she didn't get even a scratch.

Primis: Go.

Her feet moved unconsciously while pondering about how she should tackle this situation.

"Do Lord think she will succeed? In a normal scenario, it won't be much of a problem for her. However, thanks to Lord's conditions it made the situation otherwise."

Primis kept on looking at Lumine which was making her way to the camp for some time before replying.

"Primis: We will see."

Once he said so, the space wrapped in front of him and two people walked out.

They sat on one of his laps as ordered and Primis put his hand on their head. Next, he sent a wisp of his Zenith inside their head.

It was his daily routine.

While doing so, Primis gazed at Lumine in the distance.

'Primis: I hope you don't disappoint me, Lumine.'
